Greatest app for notes, most beautiful, easiest, simplest, lightest. I would really like if there was some improvement in the tag editing: sometimes I go to edit (tags) , because I want to delete some created by mistake, and the moment I push the trash icon it just had rearranged the tags and I delete another tag and there is not something like a question prompt asking me if I am sure for example, so I miss something to be there. Yet it's the greatest app for notes for me. Thanks again for the great work.

Hi, I really like simplenote but one thing I really want is to show the view mode by default. The list is also shown in edit mode which does not look quite good. We have to just view it and edit if needed, it is the natural sequence. Please, I request you to enhance this behaviour and make our favourite simplenote best. Thanks

Best app I've found for quick notes-to-self available on any phone, tablet, laptop. Has Markdown support and note history (occasionally useful). One suggestion: the "edit/preview" line eats up a lot of vertical space. More compact, please!

UPDATE: got a BUG with one note, I write something and it automatically delete it. I had to make another note. Nice app. A few details: Exit without saving option / Where are the notes stored? I want to make a backup of them to have them offline in the PC I don't want to be fully dependent on internet

It's the best simple cloud note app in the store! The few teething problems from the interface update a while ago have all been sorted very fast, great work! 1 other small thing i noticed: On android 5.0+ the status bar is light grey which makes it hard to see the white status bar text and icons in most lighting conditions. Maybe simplenotes' shade of blue would work better? Cheers

Too many notes apps get carried away with feature bloat. This one sticks to the core features (including tagging) and gets them right, all the time.

It's a great app for my needs BUT won't open again on my Samsung Tablet whenever its in stand by or I turn off the device. I have to uninstall & install again. Very annoying please please fix this.

Tried many note apps and eventually found this and got hooked. Best part of the app is you can share a HTML view of a note as well besides other very simple yet great features like tagging .. real cool

Still the best and only getting better, however, the "Edit tag" function does not show the correct amount of entries for each tag, at least in a huge library like mine (1200+). They also do not synch very well between my tablet and cellphone. For example, I need to delete a given tag from both instead of doing it just once, which would be the expected behavior.

Almost the best just need checkboxes. I've struggled to find a note app that has password, universal (so I can use on Apple, Windows and android) and simplicity. You almost have it all just please add checkboxes

It does not empty the trash properly. Doesn't sync it, maybe? Whenever I connect another device or even reinstall the app, the deleted notes show up in the trash - even after it had been emptied. Please look into this.

Simplenote is the best cloud-based note taking tool. Not at least due to it's simplicity. I use it for more than 5 years now and always preferred it over other more feature rich competitors. As some clients also understand Markdown you also can format the notes you take easily.

Nice,simple note taker but notes use abbreviations which the spell checker can't handle elegantly. Please allow us to turn it off. Auto formatting of some words containing special characters eg: / is also unhelpful. EDIT: (after reading the developer's response - for which many thanks) my device has spellchecking disabled - it doesn't seem to make any difference to Simplenote which spellchecks regardless)

Just bare minimum for fast notes taking. So much faster and better then Evernote. Love it. And it has markdown support! That's a killer feature for me.

I've been using Simplenote for a long time now and I really like it. Especially the sync between PC and Android. The only thing that's missing (or I can't find it) is the possibility to use it on Android Wear.

Fantastic now taking so that is minimal and highly effective. Only missing feature is no support for check boxes (causing loss of single star)

It's truly simple and great! I love it. Try adding some functions though, such as text formatting, splitting into columns... Thx

Overall good app to access anywhere anytime, simple to use unfortunately I have no idea whether or not it has a synchronization feature because I use another assistance to actually see the synchronization to work both in app and pc. It would be great if I don't have to install another app to do this.

The simplicity of simplenote is simply endearing. The seamless syncing is simply amazing. I love this app and have absolutely NO problems with it. Honestly.

Very good. It syncs instantly and works across all of my devices. However, I wish it had more formatting options. It would be cool if I can change text size, change text color, change fonts, add pictures / video, and so on.

Switched from Gnotes because it started charging for simple things like syncing. This is just as good. Wish I'd found it earlier.

Replaced evernote with this. Better, lighter and faster! Super simple UI, idiot proof use!

Automatic Phone Number Recognition is a turn-off. Did not replace Google Keep.

BUG:When connected to WiFi when I touch new note and hit back key without typing anything . A blank note is added and is displayed on the web application. Please see to it

Great app, simple and syncs easily, I don't need bells and whistles, just a note app that works well, this is it.

Very simple, minimalistic, light, clean and easy to use app. A fine and crisp UI. Great for what it is made for.

Like this app since it sync perfectly with resophnote desktop app... But only feature i expect to see in simplenote is internal link between notes which would be very useful for my needs and date and time stamp on notes would also be good.

Great and light cross platform note, finally for Linux too! The dark and light theme was an excellent idea.

But after the recent update, now the tags won't show unless I scroll down. I prefer the tags always visible. Is this a setting option?

It doesn't always automatically update and could do with right to left option

*Update* Please allow markdown settings in the android app itself. Why should a guys like me,who only use the app in my phone have to download the pc version to enable markdown?

UPDATE: I'm an avid note taker and am enjoying Simplenote. The UI is excellent - attractive and efficient. BTW: Does the app come with cloud backup? Thanks

Really good note taking app. On a Mac I use nvAlt and everything syncs perfectly. Does what it needs to; no more no less.
