AirSong (Wifi Music Player)

Was faffing around with Bluetooth, this is much better. Can play from my phone to my TV Computer and attached hi quality speakers. Will give 5 stars if on the phone you are able to view and organize folders better, right now I just have a massive list of mp3s. Would like to see shuffle, playing, artist and other filters. Good job! Same slight issues as others: folder scanning a bit buggy, can't select deeper music folder on my external SD card. Some MP3s not playing. Will keep installed!

I'm really disappointed. This app was almost exactly what I wanted, but it's missing one of the most important functions of a music player (at least in my opinion): the option to listen to a song on repeat. I really hope that you'll think about adding it in the future! Otherwise, this is definitely the best app of it's kind I've found so far.

Does what it claims to do, does it pretty well. Streaming through your phone is simple and well-executed. Could do a lot better with a playlist function. Not 100% stable - occasionally restarts a song at random or crashes (HTC One M8 unmodified)

There is no competition for this app in what it's supposed to do. However I have an issue and a suggestion - 1. Not all files (MP3 format) are scanned by the app even though other apps detect them. 2. Bring more functionality in terms of ease of use. I'm talking playlists, search in browser, album art, lock screen controls etc.

Great app and does what it claims to. It does the job wonderfully with streaming music. But it would be great if you could set up playlists or maybe select one album or artist. Having every single song all together gets really messy sometimes.

This app is great! Easily streaming music from my phone to my PC. Just, if only we had the ability to use the time slider on our phones. Only thing holding it back from that extra star

It's very responsive and easier to set up than any Bluetooth system. My only qualm is that my playlists are not preserved, nor can I make new ones.

Music folder selection does not work at all. I cannot access my external SD card. It shows up as an entry in the top drop down but contains no data. Likely missing a permission request. Also the music folders are unsorted. At least delegate to a decent external folder picker so I can use one that works. Also, wma files fail to play in the browser and halt all playback. Skip whatever fails in the player.

This app is great. I use Android 6.0 and am having problems with playback interruption when my phone goes to sleep. The app could also benefit from playlist functionality, but that is just a feature request not a bug.

No way to make or access playlists. Can't skip to next song during playback. Would be great if I could play any multi media content over WiFi.

Compatibility for the physical volume buttons to control the volume whilst not in focus. Not sure if just my device. S7 with latest software.

Clean, simple and perfect for the job. Only thing left is making it like a full music player with option for playlists and searching (from browser).

a better playlist management would be cool. when your playlist goes above 1000 songs, it gets difficult to handle. but hey good work really love it

Really impressive, donating now. So far so good, don't see adds, the quality is great, no disconnects. Just to let you know : A startup guide is a need, many people around the world will not know what to do with the address and the ports. EDIT: I had a particular problem and was able to solve it: I have two ISP one assigns IP's with "1" and the other with "0" (example : 192.168.1.25/192.168.0.25) I had problems with the application when was under the "0" never connected, just change it to ""1"

You just solve my problem darling. But will be more better if we use app's player instead of browser.

App works great, but it just happened that when i tried to scan for music at one point and it went into infinite loop, it happened after i deleted a song from the samsung default music app, then tried to rescan and it froze, possibly an inifinite loop? Had to uninstall and reinstall to make it work again

Works good , i just wish they could make that my phone volume buttons change the volume . then this app will me the coolest ....

I really liked it however it keeps stopping like 3/4 way into the song which is really stink. Anyway I can fix this? or... so I give it a 3 out of 5 stars

I've been looking for this a really long time, finally found where I was looking for. And it's better then I've ever dared to expect! Really recommend it! ;-)

Still looking for something that will use my existing music player on the phone and stream over wifi, but until then, this is the next best thing. Love the app.

There isn't a single app like this in play store that's so easy to use!! No bugs, crashes, or lags whatsoever... U, developer, are my hero!! I was searching something like this for so long and i finally have it... Just few request - please add the playlist functionality! And the shuffle button is shown only in the browser and not in the app, please fix this... U rock bro!

Innovative !! Absolutely loved it .. such a simple solution U can play the songs in your phone via speakers connected to PC (through wifi). No need of extra hardware :) @dev team: Please improve the User Inteface of the app. you know like an actual music player ? 1. sort the songs by genre, folder etc etc 2. Seek capabilities from the app. 3. equalizer maybe. Expecting a reply to this suggestion and hopefully some improvements for this amazing app. Really appreciate your work .. cheers !!

This is a nice app to stream your Music over Web browser. Latency is low. Their should be an option to forward the music from the app too. Also it would be great if we can directly stream into Windows Media Player, I checked that some of my songs are not supported by this app, I'm not able to identify the difference they have same extension and I even tried removing special characters from song name.

Awesome app. Easy to use. But lacks important features like playlists and integration with other players like Google Play or an android phone's default player. Please try to fix that because this app definitely deserves 5 stars.

it's not ultra-sophisticated but it is what it is: a dead easy way to share your music on your android to pretty much anything with a web browser on the same WiFi network as you. Utterly painless to use; just type into your the web browser the address shown after it finishes loading/scanning your music files and all your music on the android will show in sorted order on the browser. Sure, more sophisticated functionality would be nice, but for a free, ad-free, tiny footprint app this is great. Thanks dev!

The way it works is cool. Please allow the music to be streamed online that will increase this app. Range ........the different volume controls in the controller makes it easy to control device volume also.. The web interface is amazing...make it little more clear for small phones also..streaming page should be accessible to all the browser's without flash player if possible that's the only thing I found missing out....well done guys............please allow us to stream sounds from other apps like movie player,other mp3 players and even alarms ........it would make the app multifunctional app .......

Minimal and doesn't have any annoying traits, works stunningly well. I might have wanted it to preserve folder structure* but I'd also like to have a pony and world peace. Great app! *: just found if a song has no album info, the folder name is used instead! So I got a pony :)

Something which would be awesome.. if you could incorporate the FM Radio function on my phone to be streamed through the webpage as well... maybe like a switch between the songs on my phone or to use the Fm option...this will make it a Data free stream... and you'll be able to listen to all the local stations you have safed... I'm using a samsung S3...many thanks... keep up with the good work

Awesome App , but doesn't include some basic features . Please Add Shuffle , Volume Controls and Playlist in upcoming updates .

Good tool, but it will be great if u can add the functionality to browse music as directories in the device.. similar to file manager and play it ..as it becomes very difficult to play songs, when tehre are 1000s of songs in the device.. thanks

This is a pretty cool app. It works as directed, but the down side is that you need to be on the app itself on your phone in order for the music to keep streaming.

This is amazing man, great job! Only one thing to add in my opinion: better sorting on the desktop (or app). For example I'd like to create playlists for when I use it as well as sorting by date added, etc.

I've a pebble smartwatch that's able to change music from any music player. so if airsong is recognized as a music player by pebble, I'll be able to change music when I'm on road, without putting my fon outta my pocket. I use your mighty creation airsong a lot while am on road to stream my music stored on gpad 2 through nexus 5. why? because nexus 5 doesn't support additional storage support but contain a great music experience. you do the rest of the math about why. So what do you say? Possible?

Love this. Very easy to set up. Just enter the the URL it shows on your phone and BOOM! Your PC becomes the WiFi speaker for your phone!

Works incredibly fast and is very easy to just, all you do is enter the url on your pc. However, I'd love to see the ability to have a list of Albums and Artists, like every regular music player, because with a big collection it's not all that orderly.
