Auryn Ink for Android
This is so laggy it is unusable. I hope that future updates will fix this since it looks like it would be a great app if there were not 3-4 seconds between touching the screen and something appearing.

Easy to use and love the natural look of the painting effects.
I found this gem of an art app during another depressing search on the market, but that frustration and sadness was cured right away! I'm a sucker for art apps that mimic and create something just as good if not better than it's real world counterpart, and that is where Auryn Ink has excelled! The bleeding and blending of my colors was fantastic and it even has a cool little timer bar at the top that shows me the progress of my watercolor paint drying. You can either paint in wet or dry mode and both look stunning. The app appears to have little to no lag while painting and with a stylus it just feels awesome! There are some things that were a little annoying though, such as the canvas does not fill up the full 1280 x 800 landscape on my Galaxy Tab 10.1. Also I'm confused as to what the "media" and "fix" buttons actually are for, but I also haven't read the out of app territorial yet, but they appeared to have no effect when I selected them and painted. Plus I would really like to be able to change canvas color as well, but it does have two nice canvas backgrounds to use. All in all I would say if you like painting, like watercolor, or just enjoy being creative, well get this app!
Doesn't work on the galaxy 10.1 note
Does not run on Arnova 7 G2 rooted
It's OK, but something tells me it needs a design overhaul. Scaling for different screen sizes isn't as hard as it used to be. It didn't work at all on my last tablet (TPT). It's strange that it's listed as a phone app.
Great potential but it's unusable it's unbelievably slow and the company will not respond to emails. It's really too bad.
Good concept but a real mess..
This creates realistic looking watercolor effects and is easy to use. Though, I'm a little disappointed at how muddy many of the colors turn out.
Nice brush effects, but has some notable annoyances: Clunky workflow when using the assorted menu items. It does not respect tablet orientation, so working in portrait mode means the menu items are sideways. You cannot set the name when saving an image. The big problem, though, is that you can not open a previous image once you've started a new one. Serious omission for what is otherwise a decent program, making it more of a novelty than a potentially serious tool.
Look's can be deceptive. A major overhaul is needed... *** UPDATED *** Now using samsung galaxy note 10.1, and i don't now if it's the device, but the app works a treat!. So i can recomend this app for the note 10.1. As for the galaxy tab 2 10.1, i no longer have, so previous experience of strokes taking up to 10+ seconds still apply for that device, and the 1 star rating. As for the note 10.1(2013), it's a BIG! 5 stars...
The developer fixed the problem with the Galaxy note 10.1 so I decided to give it another try and the watercolor effects are the best I seen on any Android app! I only with it had more options and bigger resolution
Not bad but the controls are way too basic. Sliders for fade etc need to be more user friendly to achieve better control of effects
Works well on nexus 7. No complaints at all.
Have several art apps, but this one is best for watercolor work, hope there will be updates for it. Could use a mixer palette, file importing, way to lock canvas to control resizing, more brushes, salting, and option to keep open color pallet. Most importantly needs its own project folder, auto save, and way to reopen and continue working on saved projects.
Best watercolour effect I have experienced on android but... one can't reopen unfinished work. If the painting isn't finished it is impossible to return to it later. Secondly, the company doesn't seem to answer emails requesting assistance.
Works great on my Samsung galaxy Note 10.1 but only shows a black canvas on my Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 .. please fix.. :(
Like it a lot, but it's sooooo sooooo. After just about every stroke you have to wait. I really like the effect and all the real watercolor elements. The slow speed just kind of takes the flow out of natural drawing and painting. With improvements it will be one of my favorite painting apps. There is another really good watercolor app in the play-store also that isn't so slow. It just gives you the watercolor feel in a different way. Please speed up the drying time.
Good
Have been waiting ages for decent digital watercolour software (pc or tablet), & this is intuitive and easy with amazing results. However, it crashed after painting a masterpiece, then crashed 3 times more. Is there no way to save & continue or reopen & finish something later?
To be honest I haven't spent too much time using this app. whenever l run it however, it pretty darn amazing! The simulation of water color blending is the most complex and realistic I ever seen. Wish l could Import a background sketch!
The adverts looked so tempting .....
Best watercolor app I have found for Android. As with any art tool you must spend time to get good results!
This is wonderful; it simulates watercolors perfectly! I have several art apps, some good and some mediocre, but this is the only one I have tried that simulates that wet blend you get with watercolors. I hope the dev keep making improvements.
What a disappointment! I was excited to find that Auryn Ink was available for Android. But it fails dismally on my Note 10.1. Same error as other Note owners. Please fix this!
Just got left with a blank screen then "Unfortunately Auryn Ink has stopped". Tried rebooting but no joy.
Very hard to use, not a real watercolor effect. No bevel.
