FlightDeck-Artificial Horizon for Android
Being a private pilot, I originally looked at developing this tool as a backup artificial horizon while I'm flying. However, since the Android phone doesn't have true gyros, it just makes for a great demonstration.
Dumbst game I ever seen. U can't do anything
Warning! This is just an inclinometer! The developer doesn't understand inertial measurement! Will not show turns. Useless as a backup AI. Deathtrap!
Idk what this app is about or how it is our isn't useful until then 3*. Evo 2.2
Great demo, fun way to show off some of your phones features!
Unfortunatly based on gravity not on gyro... but it looks nice
Junk, confuses the roll and pitch axis
Crap
As entertaining as it is simple. Wishing you blue skies mate.
Great way to demonstrate how an artificial horizon works.
Boo!
Amazingly aweful
Blue skies!
It was terrible
Pointless!
Pretty cool and very sensitive. Not sure i would want to have to rely on this as a backup. But you never know i guess. Nice job: )
Tried in flight out of curiosity. Pitch seemed to work but bank didn't. Assume coordinated turns fool the sensors in the Droid...
I have been looking and looking for a real looking flight simulator, i dont think there is any
I tried on Galaxy Note 2. I can only see about 1/4 of it. Not usable. Potential but needs a lit of fixinups!
Good little app. I would give it 5 stars except it continues to prevent the screen from sleeping after you exit the app.
Appears very accurate but I wouldn't fly an approach with it. Not unless ALL ELSE HAS FAILED. However a Great just in case you are in the soup.
I just used this flying my dads piper cub and when your in flight the g force makes the accelerometer not work so it don't work in an airplane
If this app shows a bank angle while you are making a " normal" turn, find an instructor and ask for instruction on making coordinated turns.
If the developer actually is a private pilot he should go have a look in his books. An AH isn't an inclinometer and thus a phone can't act like one.
Does what it says, simple pitch and roll info from the phone. I think its cool mate, nice job. Would be awesome if it had an authentic display too.
I did an aileron roll and it showed wings level the entire time. About as useful as a glass of water except you couldn't drink it if you were thirsty.
Nice instructional demo of artificial horizon. Similar apps for, VOR, DME, altimiter, air speed, etc. would be good instructional aids for beginners.
I tested it as we rolled into a nice coordinated turn and it showed wings level. Not safe for any purpose in an aircraft!
Works on the ground, but for this to work in flight you need a gyro not an accelerometer. Why does app need to know location data?
Looks like an artificial horizon, but is not. G forces cause inaccurate readings. Do not use for flight, not even in emergency, will cause death.
It's nifty, as long as you're not actually flying. A smart phone can't detect a coordinated turn so this is only good for pitch information.
Good if it was your first game made
Would like to see more instruments and plugin for fsx and xplane.
If the developer of this relies on his app he we will not live very long. It will not show any bank at all in a balanced turn: no gyros in phones!
Its a fun app to show to your non-pilot friends, but since our phones don't have actual gyros, useless in flight.
Too big for screen with large ad at bottom. Uninstalled
Cool, a little slow, really just a slip indicator inflight. I guess if this is all you had, good luck!
Okay but you get more when you pay more

I don't get it!
