About EC500

*** PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ***

You require an Avaya Communication Manager or Definity for this app to work. However Avaya Mobility Server is NOT required.

Aura Alliance EC500© integrates with Avaya Communication Manager/Definity, you will need Avaya Communication Manager with EC500 to enable this application.

This application enables you to use the Avaya EC500 (an application that runs on Avaya Communication Manager) functionality on your iPhone/Android without the need of a separate mobility server. Whenever you’re away from your desk, your iPhone/Android becomes your desk phone.

Select whether you want to call from your office number, which routes the phone call via the company phone system, or your mobile number.

Call your colleagues by dialling their extension number, never miss a call to your desk, avoid voicemail tennis!

With EC500 your Avaya deskphone is bridged with your iPhone/Android, you can hand off calls between mobile and desk phone. EC500 can be activated or deactivated from your iPhone/Android.

With EC500 calls are routed through the phone system so not only does your DDI number show when you call someone but call costs are reduced, particularly if you have significant international calling expenses. As opposed to international mobile to mobile, you have mobile to phone system out to international number.

EC500 enables you to distinguish personal from professional calls; incoming calls to the iPhone/Android could be either a personal call dialled direct or a work call that has been extended from your deskphone. When an extended work call is not answered it is pulled back to the corporate voicemail.

You will need to be operating Avaya Communication Manager in your office with EC500 to enable this application. Please follow the step by step guide in order to activate this application. Aura Alliance EC500© requires you to enable EC500 on your Avaya Communication Manager phone system. As this application integrates with your corporate phone system (Avaya Communication Manager) you will be required to configure settings on your phone system and configure the Aura Alliance EC500 application to suit your EC500 settings.

· Configure the software on your Communication Manager. Set up EC500 to Individual User (you may need to get your Avaya Maintenance Provider to do this).
· Configure the Aura Alliance EC500©. Once downloaded open the application and tap Menu
· Scroll down to Settings and tap to open this page
· Scroll to settings File and manually enter all the codes and numbers, use the codes that will be already pre-programmed on your phone system under the EC500 setting.

Everytime I click on call log, the app crashes. I am using a Google Pixel running 7.1

How can you set this up on a galaxy note 5 if there isn't a menu option? Also the app crashes when I go to the phone.

It has a very specific use, but if needed, the app is great.

Is it possible to delay the speed that the software pulses out the digits for extensions? As soon as the call connects, the software pulses 5 digits for an extension - in about 0.5 sec. This seems to be too fast for our Avaya system to collect all digits, as it takes multiple attempts to connect to a VoIP extension. The iPhone app "Avaya One-X Mobile Lite" dials the 5 digits a little too slowly for my taste, but it connects every time an extension is dialed. Other than that, your app is AWESOME!!!

Does what is promised but has a few flaws. It locks up frequently, specially when accessing call log If you select a contact you can´t go directly to calling but must first select the back of the number and then make the call. This is very irritating and is the reason for 2 stars Can´t access company phonebook But apart from these it runs quitly and is not difficault to set up

Finally an app for EC500 on the Android market. Had to play around with the different settings to finally get it to work. Would like to see a "help" file for all the different configurations. The biggest complaint is not having access to search corporate directory from the contacts tab. I would have rated this higher if this capability was enabled. The Avaya One-X Mobile Lite is much easier to configure and has access to corporate directory and works great in our environment.

Looks pretty but does not work reliably. Frequently locks up on my Nexus One with Gingerbread. I recommend TelecoAV as a reliable alternative.

This app is an excellent idea -- I'd like for it to replace my default dialer, but I don't think that it's quite ready for that yet. Locks up whenever I use "Call Log", the contacts seem a bit 1990-ish, and overall the UI needs to be modeled after something more recent, like HTC dialer. But in the end, it's a great app, and I'd recommend it. I can't wait for more updates - I'd be willing to pay for them.
