Story

Government Engineering College, Thrissur is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in the state of Kerala. Every year, the Auto Expo has brought out some novel ideas thereby enriching the viewer’s experience every time. The exponential rise in the magnitude of audience we received every year is a mark of the show's popularity.

This year along with the conventional auto expo we are proposing to uphold our commitment towards society and environment. We will be organizing it in a much broader and better way in this year.

In our last edition, we organised awareness campaigns in the general public about “green cars” by displaying them at the auto expo. We also conducted a exhibition called “Green Expo” which addressed the present day needs without sacrificing the needs of tomorrow via invited lectures, symposiums, quizzes etc.
At the end of it we submitted a proposal to the responsible authorities on the conversion of vehicles to run on non-polluting CNG as fuel.

This year’s theme for the event is proposed to be “Think Future, Think Smart”. We have also planned to organize programs and workshops to sow the seeds of curiosity about Technology/Engineering in the young minds of our students along with awareness programs concerning driving culture among general public. An event that lasts for four days, is expected to be sure crowd-puller.
