The Augur app works like a Magic 8-ball for the Internet, using Twitter to tell the future.

Part oracle, part drunk advice columnist, the app searches for random keywords on Twitter in real-time. From there, it pulls back tweets that match a set criteria, and presents the user with a mixture of advice and prophecy.

In Roman times, an augur was someone who divined the future by studying the flight path of birds. The Augur app is a modern day version of the ancient soothsayer, looking to Tweets instead of birds.
