Wave Alarm - Alarm Clock for Android
I don't have the full version but this scared me because of how loud it was! Thats good because I am a heavy sleeper. It may be the free version but you can adjust the volume and everything else. When you pay, it only takes away advert and gives you 2 more colours to change your clock. The advert is hardly there for me because it's at the bottom, out of the way and it doesn't cover the clock. So I didn't bother getting the full version. Lastly, I recommend this app because it is very helpful. ★★★★★
I liked it but now I don't. This week I been waking up late because the alarm doesn't wake me up. I tested it and noticed it will ring for a couple of seconds then when the ads pop up the ringing will stop. I'm not going to pay $1.99 to remove the ad and will find another free alarm clock.
Really enjoy the "wave" to snooze the alarm. I do wish, though, that the app was enabled for "daydream". Using a Droid Turbo. Addendum... now, the alarm will sound for about 1 second, then snoozed itself. Plus, even though it's in the charging dock, as soon as it's charged, the phone sleeps ... Then you can't see what time it is.
Paid version Used for several years with android 4, prior to 2017 and loved it. Now on my Galaxy S7 android 6, simply is not reliable. Apparently needs an upgrade. Several days have been late for work because the alarm, properly set, just did not go off at all. Same thing this morning. Very regrettable, but have to uninstall and look for another app. The wave snooze was fantastic when it works, but an alarm clock app needs to be 100% reliable, and this no longer is.
I love this alarm clock, but the recent galaxy s4 upgrade has overridden the motion detection and I have to tap a message before I can wave at it. That defeats the purpose of the motion sensor. I paid for the full version, but now it can't do what it's suppose to do.
I have been using this app (the paid/full version) for 2 years with no issues. Worked perfect and was a 5 star app. Updated phone to Android lollipop and wave function will no longer work without first sliding unlock button, then wave function is enabled. Defeats the point. Needs work to go back to 5 stars.
I tested it out by setting the alarm. The 1st time it did not go off. Hmm...maybe I did not do it right. 2nd time...still nothing. After about 5 times I decided to back to stock alarm. At least it goes off.
Do not buy this crappy app. The alarm volume setting does nothing. Even when that is set to its maximum, the volume is barely audible. I figured out that the volume is actually tied to your ringer volume. so you have to go to bed with that volume turned up high if you want to hear you alarm and just hope no one calls you after you go to sleep. Wave motion detection does not work. You have to tap the screen to get it to turn off.
Weather doesn't work at all. Only a small amount to pay but all its done is add a couple of colours. Disappointing ... The video? Well its nice to see the different shirts etc but how does that help with the app??
I used to rely on this app. But since my android was updated to v6 it does not work reliably any more. Emailed developers but got no reply. Disappointed to have to let one of my fav apps go.
I used to love this app and I recently started using it again after about a years break. Now when the clock is on display during the night, the area around the clock is far too bright despite the screen brightness being at its lowest. The area around the clock, the background if you like, is now grey when it used to be black. Correct this and it'll get 5 stars again.
I loved this app, but sadly now it won't play sound for some reason, it will only vibrate and that will not and did not wake me up... I have tried everything to get it to work with no luck so now I am off to find a new alarm
Sometimes the system failed, and did't wake me up, but most of the time it does. I wouldn't want to buy the full verzion, though. I have the free version of it and it works just fine.
I have a hate time turning off the Alarm when it goes off. It freezes sometimes and the alarm will just keep going and going. It's hard to make it shut up. Lol
The snooze function doesn't work as advertised. You still have to tap the snooze first and then wave over it twice to get it to snooze. Otherwise the alarm will just keep playing. Was working fine like that for a while and about 2 months later the app wouldn't even snooze!!! Had to actually close the app to get it to shut up and you can only reset the alarm for the next day!! I'm defi0 not wasting my money on the paid version!!!! ANNOYED!!!!
Had the galaxy s3 and the alarm worked great for 2 years. 2 days ago I upgraded to the galaxy note 4 and I can't get the alarm to work correctly. A status bar pops up to snooze or disable, but it totally misses the point of being able to reach over and wave my hand over the screen without opening my eyes or sitting up and putting on my glasses to see what I'm doing. It defeats the purpose all together. Now it's just like all the other alarm apps.
Well i gave it a try, i even bought the full version but my alarm does not go off or snooze just by waving my hand in front of it, and its buggy even while touching it to go off. I hv a front facing camera but it doesn't work at all which is a shame cuz now im out money and because i really loved the design and look of it. Sucks it doesnt work
Setting a future date is a little confusing at first but once you figure out, it is the Repeat function you can set a future date within 7 days. Is quick and simple to set and to shut down!
I like this clock, it's more effective and easier to wake up to, instead of touching the device, you swivel your hand. The only thing I could hope for is a spectrum of colours to choose from. :)
Not sure if I like it, but I would like to say, to the person that can't figure out how to dim the alarm, I would say, WATCH THE VÍDEO. Or, just look at the settings go and you will see, that you drag your finger up and down the screen to brighten or darken the screen. Gee whiz.
It worked well with Galaxy Note 2 (and purchased full version ) . I upgraded to Galaxy Note 4. However, motion isn't detected when phone is locked. I have to unlock my phone before waving in front of screen to deactivate or snooze alarm. Defeats the purpose of wave alarm.
(review applies to full version only) There's a few options missing. The ability to set a playlist of songs and not just one song, more color choices, the ability to set a custom background image, rotating movement to prevent burn-in. Alarm clock xtreme is my favorite alarm app. Has everything I want/need except one. The ability to prevent phone going to sleep. This app has that and I like the clock face better, but xtreme has everything else. Something to think about.
It works most of the time. Once in a while I can't shut the alarm off. Also, dislike that I cannot cancel out of creating an alarm. I must save then delete. I would not pay for this again.
I can make many alarms. I can have a different alarm for each day of the week. I can wake every morning to the song of my choosing. I can snooze it readily. This app has made my tablet the scientifically and quintessentially perfect alarm clock. If only it could help me get to sleep as well as it wakes me up.
Great app. Easy to configure and elegant in appearance.
I love the look and concept of this app however it doesn't work as described with my lg g4. The alarms go off but waving over the phone doesn't snooze it or turn it off. Sometimes tapping the screen will snooze it but not always. I've had to power the phone off a few times as well. Looks nice...not too bright to disturb you. Lots of alarms to choose from or your own music. Would give a 5 star if worked properly. Hasn't been updated since 2014 so perhaps developers have abandoned the app.
I had the free version and it kept freezing up. A lot of other people had the same issue, but stated that the problem went away when they purchased the full app. I purchased the full app and I am happy to say that I have not had any issues since. People are complaining about purchasing the premium version. So basically some of you think the developers should work for free. People are always wanting something for nothing. Who are the greedy ones now? I think the app is worth the money!
Great alarm and versatile!
Used to be my daily alarm clock. But since android 5 turning off the alarm with a wave or touch does not work anymore. An upgrade is direly needed
I don't buy many apps, usually just the ones that awe me. This one works great. I wanted an alarm clock that would show me the time at night without being too bright. This one dims to the point what you can barely see it. The wave off function works just like my old alarm clock. Great app.
Lots of nice functions. Works fine on HTC One. And brightness can be easily adjusted by sliding your finder up/down the screen. Great work !
For some reason I have to unlock my phone in order for the wave feature to work. It used to work but I don't know what happen perhaps it was during one of the upgrades.
1st. Can din to almost off. Has dark colors to choose, no obnoxious already installed unchangeable colors. Simple time, simple alarm, with nice choices. Easy alarm shut off, should I ever need it (retired). It's extremely nice. Good work all!
It's a fantastic app but on Android upgrade it kept force closing. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it's now working again. Phew. Used this app as my main alarm for many years now. Thanks!!
It would be nice if it automaticaly launched when plugged in and charging. Also it would be good if the next alarm was displayed.
Samsung S5 the flagship of Android , this alarm was great before lollipop , I used it everyday. Now after lollipop it breaks my phone. You can't disable the alarm and the lock screen freezes. I have to restart my phone... These guys have to make a major version update to fix this.. I have paid version, it would be nice if I even still had this installed on my phone.
Wavealarm was fantastic. Used it every day! But sadly, Android 5 (lollipop) and it's new notification system breaks it. I've tried contacting support with no reply
The motion sensor alarm off no longer works, there is no way to snooze without picking up the phone now, the app almost freezes the phone, have get back to home page and then close app. I have the full app and would like this to work again as it should. Please fix.
The color blue is easy on the eyes. If I pick up the phone the alarm stops - but always goes off again 10 minutes later. Best alarm app I ever used.

I like the idea; I like the interface. Snooze gets activated from a very comfortable distance. I have used it too as an alarm reminder even when I'm writing or sketching: I didn't have to put down the pen and touch the screen. I was just like "shooing away" the alarm. Just one thing though. Maybe the next update can make the app leaner than 20mb. A premium version just for the colors? Maybe there's no need for that really specially if you just need one alarm or you don't find it a hassle to regularly make changes. But really, the developer's generosity would be much appreciated with a couple of free alarms more. Oh, version 3.1 does work from my SD card on a rooted kitkat. Nice one :-)
