Was good until last up date. Now constantly getting notifications that I don't want and cannot turn off without creating an account. If the app is free let it be free. If it cost me my information tell me up front and stop using use as bait to get our information. No choice but to delete. Reinstalled. No pop up about notification. You must mean after logging in which I do not want to do. Reuninstalled.

Because the app stays in the Notification bar on my phone when live streaming, it kept notifying my Microsoft Band every second even after I turned off Notification on the WTOP app. Not only is it annoying, it was clear it would drain my Band battery really quickly. I had to turn off notification from this app on the Band app. The streaming on the app is actually better than from my phone browser so I'll keep trying it. UPDATE: Three stars to one. Using 1% battery per minute.

Resource hog cripples android phones, even octa-core ones, when using. Have to restart phone to exit even after pausing the stream.. Horrible programming.

This app is so bad! I've tried it over mobile data and WiFi and it still stops as soon as you start it. The majority of the app just takes you to there website. I like WTOP just hate this app.

Tough to stop the player when done listening. Frequently caused phone to hang and had to reboot. Streaming is often intermittent even on high-speed Internet. I uninstalled the app.

Like the streaming but hard to shut down, no clear exit button had to go through system and do a force stop. After listening for a while can lock up phone, overheats with this app for some reason..weird..the station is awesome great informative, go to news source - app is a bit strange.

The radio feature! This makes the app a real winner. Now I can listen to WTOP on my phone anywhere and not just in my car. This gets 5 stars.

There are no problems with this app and it works well. I just preferred the old app. The old app was a true app and not just a portal to the website as this one is.

The new app is SOOOOO much better and more reliable and stable. I love the new layout. Much more user friendly. I listen to WTOP all the time, and out here in the Shenandoah Valley the signal is very weak. So the app is my main source of listening. Now the time checks are only 1 minute behind instead of 4 or 5 and I have a lot fewer drops. It even reconnects a lot faster when the wifi signals freaks out, or if I leave the house, it switches over to mobile data very quick. Kudos on a vast improvement to this app!
