State Farm® Pocket Estimate

I have two damages in different areas of my car, the app can only take pictures for one damage! There is absolutely no way this estimate can be accurate. Huge Disappointment! The SF experience is getting worse every year, and I stayed with them for 15 years. Shopping for new insurance now.

Never had so many issues with an app EVER. Me and my girlfriend were in a car accident in late April and one of the claim options was to use this app to take photos and submit then to state farm to pay for my vehicle damage. The app let's me login at least 1/200 times I try. And when I get in it fails to submit my photos and forces me to restart the app. Not exaggerating I've spent the past 3 hours trying to get back into the app. Almost suspicious how ridiculous this app is. I took good pictures with a flash from the correct angles that would show the damage. The app didn't want those. It just wanted left, center, right, and surround. You don't take photographs and upload them to the app. You take photographs with no flash through the app. To take the picture all around the vehicle and have it line up with the outline on the app, you have to stand quite far away from the vehicle. To get the pictures they wanted I had to stand out in the street and navigate obstacles. There's damage to the undercarriage of my vehicle which of course can't be seen in any of the pictures.

Despite a number of negative reviews I found the app easy to use on my LG G4S phone. I haven't received information on my claim yet so I don't know how it will compare with seeing a human claims adjuster, but so far the process has been easy and the app flawless.

It's a great app. I couldn't take pics of all the damage. It needs to provide more angles. But overall it got the job done. Will be prone to using again and highly recommend to others

Galaxy s6.. Work good for me. My car is flat black and u can see about 90 percent of the dents. Now the waiting game begins

5 stars despite the reviews and it worked perfectly fine on my S8 #Galaxy. Beats waiting for them to come to you, it's already a long frustrating process.

Someone hits my car and now I'm expected to be an adjuster? Tried 5x to get app to work with no success.

Very convenient, especially for someone like me that works 6 days a week and do not have time to visit a walk in State farm shop

Shows the wrong car type/model so I can't use this app to get an estimate.

Easy to use,only problems for me were operator error. Beats driving around town to get an estimate.

Watched the video. Downloaded the app. Installed the app. Opened the app. Input my pass code that was provided in the text message. Didn't work. Server Error. Tried again. Connection Failure - Unable to access your claim, please try again. If the problem persists please contact support. Tried 5 more times. Still didn't work. Called support. First person asked me to verify my name, address and birth date. Told her what the problem was. She transferred me to "technical support". Went through the verification process again. Couldn't help me. Transferring to "technical support". After 6 people, 40 minutes and verifying my information over and over again, uninstalling the app, and reinstalling, I finally told the last person - who wanted to transfer me to "technical support", FORGET IT. Just send someone out here. I've had enough. He then told me that they don't have anyone available in my area. What? You've got to be kidding. It will take 3 days for someone to be able to come to my area (where I live) to take a look at a dent that I've already had estimated at under $1,000. Really? Why can't I just send them the body shop's estimate. This is ridiculous!

It's so easy and it is convenient not having to take your vehicle in to the insurance office.

Downloaded r times called help desk 4 times still doesn't work...rediculous...state farm is a big enough company they can do better than this...

The app kept closing when I tried to unload the pictures.

TL;DR: don't install this garbage unless you really know what you are doing. Get your car appraised the old way. I develop software for a living and write Android apps for fun. Whoever created this abomination should be legally prohibited from ever touching a keyboard again. If you are reading this - you are a disgrace to our craft. Whoever approved this app for State Farm, should be fired for gross negligence. I did get it to work - two reinstalls, one app kill. Three attempt to upload pics of the damage. We'll see, I guess. The permissions requested are ridiculous. You need access to my contacts why exactly? This thing is a joke. I think less of State Farm today, and I've been a very satisfied customer for about fifteen years. Please get this redone by a professional.

It does not work. It will let you log in, but does not scan vin, does not accept vin when you type it in and does not let you select your vehicle. So two days waisted on installing, uninstalling waiting for nothing. Waist of time when I thought this is great and convenient. Nope. You would think if you offer the app for convenience and to stay with the times, it would work???
