AUB Mobile

AUB Mobile is a mobile application that facilitates navigation throughout the AUB campus in a cost-effective manner. It features a novel and detailed 2.5D graphical map of the AUB campus, live-tracking of the AUB shuttle bus through GPS, and real-time monitoring of the environment. It utilizes smart navigation algorithms to offer visitors and members of the AUB community on-the-move access to the best routes through the AUB campus, saving time searching archaic paper maps or directories only available on the web. AUB mobile will serve as an easy-to-use guide for newcomers as well as old timers, providing them with optimal routing suggestions that take into consideration the user’s location in addition to environment conditions and bus availability. The project is easily expandable to larger campuses and city-wide road and bus networks, where the same advantages will be spread to even larger communities.
