One of the best things about this app & Powershop's approach in general was the way it helped educate people about energy & usage patterns. I'm so disappointed that it's been dumbed down to the point that you can't even see your forecast energy estimate in kWh. Your customers are savvy. Please don't treat us as though we are too stupid to be able to understand. I just updated to the latest version, but it still doesn't tell me how many kWh I've prepurchased & it still doesn't tell me ¢/kWh for powerpacks. Still no response from Powershop!!!!

What can I say, with one update Powershop has gone from a company that raved to friends about to one that I now actively tell to stay away from. Used to love the transparency and ability to purchase units in advance at a cheaper rate, now it's very hard to work anything out. Anyway, I'm voting with my feet and have now switched to a new provider. Was good while it lasted....

Don't be fooled by the "here's how much you saved" splash page. It's not reflective of your actual savings. I already have problems with the way you calculate the bill and called multiple times with no resolution. Now you've made things even more obscure by hiding the usage information on the app. It's obvious your claims of being "transparent" are now untrue

Update- I called them to complain about removing KWh. The call center staff member I spoke to agreed it was a bad move and said the change wasn't liked by the staff either. He said they were getting lots of complaints. 2 months later powershop still hasn't listened to its customers. Time to move on. I cannot believe they removed the cost per unit? WTF! How are we meant to know what we are spending. You have removed the thing that most customers used, very silly. I'll be making a phone call about this.

Seeing KWh per day is important because that's the main thing we control, most of the time we will use the same rate plus the special offers. Hiding this info and removing the link between KWh and $ on the charts is a big error, please put it back. Would be good if app was clearer showing the calc for the overall KWh. Also hourly usage chart doesn't work.

I think it's time for me to move on to someone who doesn't think the customer is so stupid not to see that you're hiding something from us and tried wrapping it in a shiny new app. . The whole point of going to powershop was to see my usage. Now I have no idea. I just bought a power pack special for a days usage and can't see what I've actually bought in terms of usage. This is not transparent powershop, it's potentially misleading your customers and erodes confidence. Bring back units or I will get my electricity elsewhere. It's a deal breaker.

Longtime powershop fan. You guys messed this amazing app up when you disabled the option to see how many units we're buying. Abysmal UX, fire your UX designer. It's deceptive and doesn't allow us consumers to know how much we're spending per unit at the point of sale. I'm switching energy supplier, this is dodgy and not transparent enough.

Powershop took power 'units' away, now only see money representing your power usage or for an available 'power pack'. Had both now only one, money. A unit of power can cost 29c or 35c; now we don't know what we pay! Sneaky, very sneaky. Who you fooling? Why remove granular reporting functions? Put it back or I'm going elsewhere.

Misguided at best, deceptive at worst. The new upgrade has taken away the whole positive experience. Maybe we were using the old system too well and saving too much? If this isn't the case they would just change it back or provide an option for those who liked the old system. I'm giving them another month then I will look elsewhere if nothing is done.

The app seems to be completely broken now. Even with the update, it no longer shows the daily/hourly use from my smart meter. Even the past data is gone. I now have no idea what I'm using or paying for it.

Don't try and screw over your customers. You've been a great provider so far and it's been a great app. Don't change what we use to determine value. You've had your fun now switch it back. None of this base rate crap so we can't tell what's the best value.

Update: the new update is awful. Myself and numerous others prefer to track usage by units. If you must keep the new system, at least please make the units visible again. Original review: This app is amazing! Now if only I could track my gas usage the same way...

I want to save energy and the environment. I want to know how many kWhrs I use when and where it comes from. My electricity distributer won't let my meter tell me and now you only tell me the $s I use! Please put it back the way it was! Obviously the majority of customers want this.

One of the best things about Powershop before this stupid update was that pricing appeared transparent. You knew what you were getting in terms of cost per units and for me, it demystified electricity pricing. I hate the update. I don't think there is much that sets Powershop apart from other energy companies now. They are all creating apps, simplifying user interface, and most offer Green options. I do not recommend this app/company anymore.

I don't usually make comments on apps, but I agree with other commentators that the previous version of app felt more transparent. I could literally see my savings ... now, I feel I'm being shafted akin to all the other power companies. I thought powershop was different. : (

I think the old one was much better. Easier to work with.... Not enough information now seems like they are now hiding information, is that because they are not as competitive as they use to be?

Everybody I know who who switched to PowerShop did so because of the technical information in the app that was designed for people who want to buy kilowatts of power, see detailed daily usage trends and so on, you can't seriously expect us to buy a days power without telling us exactly what that is. I get that some your customers may not know what a kilowatts but to remove the concept completely from the purchasing process is really a snob at the people that made power shop the success is today

Just updated the app and still can't find c/kwh which was the greatest thing about the app. Where can I find it? Personally preferred the old version and sorry to the brains behind the change but someone really should have stepped in and said bad idea

Avoid this like the plague. Once great now appualing for all the reasons mentioned by the other reviewers. They have ceased to listen to their customer and I will leave them long before this very month is over. Beyond disappointed.

Disappointed in this. For some reason the app was able to show I had a positive balance and was about $5 in front in the mid of December. Now it's mid January and they took $267 from my account as a catch up and the app says I still owe almost $50?? My usage is about $3 a day. This app could do with a major overhaul in showing how much is actually owed or purchased to save surprise withdrawals which send people broke until they get paid again

With the change all you can is something that shows base rate but not what it is. I could imagine going to a service station with pumps not having cents per litre.

The new app aims to obfuscate pricing. Not showing detailed usage/cost is a step backwards from a power company for savvy people to any other old provider with a gimmick.

The update notes say you are supposed to see cost per KW. I have always thought that's a good idea and wished PowerShop would do this so I am not stuck in a parallel universe, so wanted to update to get this. But can't find it anywhere???

Latest DEC 2016 update makes it really bad from a user perspective. Please bring back previous feature or fix. I cannot complete payment on Moto phone running Android 6.
