ASCE Texas Student Symposium

Join the Texas Section and ASCE Student Chapters from the Texas-Mexico Student Conference at the annual Student Symposium, where the steel bridge and concrete canoe competitions are held at a 3-day long event. Students, whether they are contestants or soon-to-graduate, will have the opportunity to attend a series of soft-skill seminars to prepare them for their new careers. The students will learn how to create an excellent resume, interview for a job, plan for their future careers, and how to network. A Texas-wide career fair will give them the opportunity to put this specific learning into play at the Symposium, and employers will have access to exceptional students.

The theme for the 2017 Student Symposium is “Building Bridges/Trascendiendo Fronteras.” The symposium includes seminars on sustainability and is focused on soft skills that support the transition from the learning environment to the professional arena.

This app will act as your guide throughout the entire Symposium. It will allow you to view the schedule, competition information, event maps, sessions, social events, vendor booths, career fair tables and notifications from the event organizers. App users will also be able to share photos and connect with other attendees. It is free to download.
