12-17-2017: App isn't working, can't log in at all. 12-08-2016: SYSTEM UPDATE occurred today and now both app AND website lag 15 min behind actions. I now have to DOUBLE TAP an icon to perform a function. Boy, you can sure tell employees' reviews. 11-29-2016: APP TOTALLY LAGS. CAN'T TURN ON/OFF ANYTHING. ALARM latency up to 10 minutes to execute any command. 11-25-2016: app not working; won't turn on/off ANYTHING. Backed out to v211. 35. 8pm update: Rollback didn't help. Problem still exists.
Can't wait to get rid of this system. Update 5/5/17 - Having the login problem again. Try to reset it and get an error. I can login on the website with no issue, but it's slow and just as poorly designed as the app. I still can't log in to the app.
There's no way this app has 4.2 stars with the low reviews and issues. You're dealing with home security and an app that works half the time. 12/7 we get a much needed update, wrong! Now I can't access my videos/camera from any of my devices. Fix it right the first time!
This has got to be the worst app man created. It freezes up, I constantly have to log in with the "remember me" button active and it blacks out constantly. Worthless around the holiday when I needed to see my front porch deliveries. I'm installing Ring! ????
Complete trash! If you turn your phone sideways and the back you must re-enter your login all over. Sometimes it won't login at ALL! What if I had an emergency and I'm unable to get to the keypad!! I don't feel safe with an app this buggy. Fix this immediately!!! Fix this trash of an app!! My home was broken into and I couldn't use the app to set emergency alarm!! A billion dollar company can't find a real company to fix an app?
This bug still exists after several updates. Worthless for bill payment. Keyboard doesn't appear when you tap on input fields so you can never fill them in and pay your bill. Only good for remote setting of your alarm. Don't bother to try and do anything else with it. Makes me want to drop them.
UPDATE 12/7/17: The app was updated today. It's an EPIC failure. Every time I try opening the app it crashes. It blacks out. I can't access anything. You think AT&T would have tested the app, prior to releasing. Prior to this upgrade the app was flawless. I have a Samsung Note 8. Update 04/26/17 The app doesn't always work, which is frustrating. I like to activate the system last, after I get upstairs. Then I find the app is not working. I have to go downstairs to activate it from the keypad. The security system itself is great, hence the 4 stars. Please make the app more reliable. Update: 9/20/17 After a few updates the app has been working great. I haven't had any issues with it not working. I use the app multiple times throughout the day, everyday. I love it. Easy to access on my Note 8 and user friendly. Arming and disarming with ease. Great job AT&T. I highly recommend it. I've been using this app for over a week with the AT&T Digital Life system. I haven't had any issues. The app is great in allowing you to access your system and be able to perform different tasks. Overall great app in helping keep your home safe. I use the app on my Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy Tab E 9.6".
Can't access my camera after today's update. This app gets worse with every upgrade/fix. How did this app get a 4.2 star rating when it has low reviews? Although the application is handy for controlling your alarm system, it lacks in features and use. First off once you've set alarm in rules for (stay) at night its set, it has no feature to turn off automatically in the morning. Additionally, you can not use the app and the phone or anything else at same time, it doesn't stay on. There are other things also, like real time may not always be in real time.
Worthless, frustrating app. I was able to disarm the system twice, but never able to arm the system. Now I'm unable to do anything through the app (except watch it freeze/crash). It won't even remember the user name. Pathetic.
Timing to arm / disarm alarm remotely can take forever. Notifications not consistently being sent to phone. Oh sure if you forget your passcode/ password you can easily do it on the app... Once it loads!
This app is just awful. The service for this system is awful, and I regret ever getting Digital Life. The app rarely works, and the website connected to the app barely works. For a company as large and advanced as AT&T, this app is a disappointment.
There is absolutely no reason why this app takes 20 to 30 minutes just to arm my system even when I'm connected to wifi...And every time I try to watch live video or pull up a video recorded it tells me "video error" or "connection error" even though it says that there is video...Very slow and delayed user interface
Tells me it does not recognize me, tried uninstalling and reinstalling and same issue. I end up having to open in Chrome, not able at all to use app....very disappointed.
Since the update (12/12/17) the app keeps crashing, very slow, and it displays the motion captured twice. Example: 6:15, 6:15 displays the same. I called into support but the representative did not know who could help with the issue. AT&T should be embarrassed for putting this product out. Unfortunately it's all about the dollar. Very disappointing. Please fix.
Regularly has problems authenticating the app on the phone and video streaming only sometimes works. Especially when you really want to use it. Otherwise just OK. Could be a lot better.
I'm unable to login to the app and now it has locked me out. This isn't a user friendly app...Now I have to wait an hour to access. I know my user id and password...This is ridiculous...Someone really need to read these reviews and seriously make some changes. This is for our safety and our families...
New update is garbage. You are dealing with home security. Do more testing on a software update instead of releasing it to your customers to test for you.
Works great on Android 7 phone and Android Wear 2.0, but not on Adroid 7 tablet. Slow response on Windows 10 Computer.
Terrible. Always have to uninstall the app, freezes up, difficult to navigate, over priced for what you get.
App is terrible, can never log in, randomly opens up when I'm on a another app and freezes my phone
App stopped working less than a year in. Even when it worked, it was always exceedingly slow and never did what it promised. When reached out to fix, AT&T said to wait it out. After 9 months, I got fed up and tried to cancel. Still being charged in full for 9 months without service plus an early cancellation fee since they failed to make a record of my past complaints.

This is a great system the app acts up sometime but works 90% of the time, love it, the security system always works

Amazing app.
Great but buggy. I love the app but I have not been able to edit my custom programs from it for some time. I have to sign in through the browser on my phone or from my computer to o anything other than arming, disarming, and controlling my devices. It's not so big of an issue but the app is meant to be convenient and it just isn't when trying to manage the custom programs. I think it deserves 5 stars when it's working. I use the LG G6, maybe it's compatibility with my phone needs updating...
The android app is great... when it works. Constantly denies my log in information and forces me to uninstall and reinstall the app to accept it again. This doesnt seem to happen on PC (particularly firefox, doesnt play well with chrome) or iOS. Fix this crucial bug and the app would easily get a 4 star review if not a five. Hoping a future update addresses this.
The Android version of this app absolutely sucks. Bought a Galaxy S8 installed this app on my phone and it works about half the time. Trying to arm my Digital Life System to Instant is definitely not Instant and usually times out. Also even with my login info saved when I get home to disarm the alarm it says it cannot authenticate me more often than not and I have to force close the program and restart my phone. This app worked flawlessly with my iPhone. How it's rated 4.2 out of 5 stars is mind boggling to me!
Where do I start? Love the door lock, camera doesn't catch everything. Love the thermostat control and all the little gadgets. App will lose ID and password every other time I use it on my older Samsung, but since I got a new Samsung, it has not given me problems. Online always freezes up while clearing Video data. 5/8/2017 update, this app really sucks! cannot disarm from app or internet. is not making any Log of entries into my home. Now i have to wait one more year before ending this Contract with AT&T.
Its gotten better. There are still times when I try to login through the app and for some reason it doesn't want to recognize my login credentials. Then locks me out when I try to login again. I don't like this when I tell the app to remember me, so I know my login info isnt wrong. If this got fixed I would give 4 stars. If digital life could be compatible with third party in wall switches, outlets, google home and Alexa, I would give digital life 5 stars.
Ideal when traveling and checking in to make sure all is okay. Turn lights on/off remotely. During hurricane Irma we were able to check that we hadn't lost power while we did where we were staying during the storm almost from the beginning. Sunday evening, when the winds died down a bit, we decided to move back to our house since we had young children that needed better attention and entertainment while the storm passed. Fortunately, no damage at out house.
App is a joke. Works when it wants to. Able to log in from tablets but not phones. Account is locked and haven't even logged in yet. Think they need to hire someone who's knows how make the app work. Had to set off the alarm coming home because I couldn't turn it off from the app. Awesome! Can't wait to end this contract and get something that works!
Worst alarm system ever. Constant log on issues, front door lock mechanism becomes jammed a lot. ADT was way better. App works sometimes but will all of a sudden say login info incorrect. As soon as my contract is up i am 100% switching service
