Voice Control for Plex

Would live for this to work but it just responds, "Sorry, I didn't understand that" to everything I say.

Need to be able to choose a lower quality setting for Chromecast than 1.5mbps

Won't recognize my Plex server, linked fine but unusable. And what's with the Trialware? Uninstalled.

Doesn't seem to want to connect with my server that requires SSL connection.

I bought the local media option this morning, and it worked until I rebooted the phone. Now the thing crashes all the time, and I get the one minute streaming again. Apparently it forgot I just paid $2.00, but I'm not sure why it keeps crashing. I can restart it again and it will work until the one minute timer is up, Left the author a note on his xda site, haven't heard anything yet, though it is New Years Eve. I hope he can get me fixed up.

Bought the chromecast option and can't see my audio device. Useless then. Also it doesn't recognise my voice. How can I get my money back?

I would buy the wear support if it wasn't so buggy, couldn't get it to work once without crashing on galaxy S7 and plex for smart tv, sent an error report just in case the Dev is still alive.

I have a Plex Home Theater server on a Linux NAS and even though I'm signed into my account, this app doesn't see or play anything on the remote client. I wasn't looking for local (on phone) control. I can just touch the screen to control Plex. Uninstalled.

Google needs to label 'trialware' as such. Waste of my time. In app purchases, no thank you!

Pretty glitchy for me. Most of the time it just says "searching Plex for XXXX" (whatever song/artist I said) and comes back with "No media found" I got it to work a couple times, but it plays the media in the app, not Plex, so if you minimize the music stops playing. There's a persistent notification dropdown but for me at least, the controls didn't work. App crashed on me after a few uses. Persistent notification of media playing wouldn't go away no matter what I did, had to uninstall to get it to disappear. And, screw the in-app purchases. Put a full-featured version in the Play store for a few bucks if you want some compensation for your work. Easy to pay, easy to refund by un-installing right away if it doesn't work.

Great idea for an app. Had issues with my Chromecasts not showing but after a little help from chris im up and running. Excellent work

If you have to click the screen to talk why not just click the movie to play. It would be nice if you can provide a list of command words and make it work without having to tap the screen first and without having to wakeup the device first. Make an unlock and lock command so your device dont react to commands in your movie. Just my thaughts. Use it dont use it. Up to you.

I can't seem to get the pause/resume commands to work? I keep getting an error?

Seems ok at searching, but it won't see any of my Chromecast Audio devices; only the video devices.

It finds my plex server and available devices to cast to but can't find any media that I pass. The toast appears with the proper show/movie but fails to find it. Play back commands also causes the app to crash.

Throws an error when trying to play on my Fire TV, which uses the Android Plex app. But it ends up playing just fine. Can't believe I didn't find this sooner.

Top drawer program. All it's missing is the ability to use the volume rocker to adjust Plex volume and shut down, sleep, quit commands and it'd be perfect.

Super simple. Press button. Say play blah blah blah. Nice one dev!

Doesn't connect to client

Title says it all. App works exactly as advertised and this + tasker is just fantastic. The Dev is super responsive and has created an excellent app. If you use Plex you owe it to yourself to get this app

After a few kinks the dev worked out with me, it's working great.. Impressed it doesn't need the phone screen on either... (Dev is a legend for support, give him a chance before bad rating him)

Took a bit to get connected to the server but after that, this app was fast and worked perfect. Very happy!

What good is voice control if it can't find anything? Serious disappointment with this app, didn't want to work with Plex through Roku 3 for me. Please don't try to offer help, am not buying a bunch of add on apps to make this happen, the experiment is over for me, but am happy for those who got it to work for them and are pleased to use it. I'll stick to using my Logitech Harmony remote, it finds everything. Uninstalled.

awesome app and really amazing communication from a dev that actually wants to work with his users!

Doesn't understand the words that are coming out of my mouth! Convoluted set up, too many dependency applications required to be useful by itself. Additionally, this application expects verbose commands. In other words it expects you to actually read literally the entire filename to get it to actually recognize the file for playback and even then often it wouldn't understand a word I spoke. I wish I didn't spend a dime on this app or the other apps that it requires, only to be an utter waste of time & $

This app is really great, thanks Dev. Would love to see wear support. Plus anyway around not having to root to integrate it into google now (probably not possible). Keep it up! Thanks a lot for developing this. Much cheaper than an xbox1 EDIT: Totally works in google now with tasker & auto voice unrooted!

Null value error for all shows I tried. Not working with chromecast on 3 different devices.

As far as controlling plex with your voice...it works great! It would be great to be able to play an entire season of a show, rather than just a single episode. The UI for chromecast is less than beautiful, and it lacks volume control like the offical plex app does on chromecast.

Initially only played TV shows, but after contacting the developer I was able to get it running as advertised. Great app. High recommended!

This app is pretty good just need some improvements I wish I could customize my own commands for example I would like to listen to random music or random music from 1 artist maybe I'm just a newbie

Crashes and doesn't play my files just a spinning circle... Disappointed

But I haven't been able to get it to work. App freezes when I try to install the home screen shortcut (while choosing the player-a roku 3). I'm not sure it's worth the novelty to pay for and install Tasker. Thanks though!
