ATN Obsidian

I used to love this app, however since the x sight ii came out i can no longer use this app on my x sight i 3-12 with my Samsung galaxy s5 or galaxay tab 2. It worked before. I do have the most up to date firmware on the x sight. I can view video that was recorded but i cant change settings or use as a view finder, it crashes everytime

Using the app with my x-sight ii and Android Nexus 6p (marshmallow) as soon as the viewfinder or reticle selection are opened, the app crashes. May be related to the app identifying my scope as a first gen x-sight and not an x-sight ii. My scope is running the latest (2.1.03.554.en) firmware.

Crashes every time when I try to use Reticle Setup, Viewfinder, or Zero setup on my galaxy s7. Using latest firmware on my x-sight HD. (V1.8.08.352). Very important features of the app that don't work. One star.

The app will not stay connected to my phone ! I have had every issue under the sun . locked want turn off then it wouldn't turn on. WiFi wouldn't stay connected. It want take pictures or video it says no chip found. They really need to work the bugs out before selling it to the public

App crashes everytime I try to use the viewfinder or the one shot zero. I run the lastest version of the app and of the firmware for my x-sight hd3x12. You advertise the wifi capabilities of your x-sight but the app is a not worth 1star I will return the sight to amazon as it is not a decent product. No wonder why you try to buy good reviews of the xsight with hats and tshirts

Crashing with new app and firmware. Have the original x sight 3-12, if I could return it I would. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE ON A DEPENDABLE PRODUCT!

Crap. The main reason for me buying this scope was because I should be able to access it from my phone. I can turn it off and transfer photos or videos, but if I try to view video it crashes EVERY time. I have a Nexus 6P with no crap installed by phone companies. This is android ruining on a Google phone, if it doesn't work on here it is unlikely to work on anything else!

I tried to get my Atn scope to work and still have the following problems : scope doesn't want to switch off by itself, have to remove batteries. Contacted ATN, did get a reply on 21 Jun ask more info, did it, and until today, no news. Also sent numerous emails to client service, no reply.... The app itself, also Not working

Before updating the xsight firmware and apps everything worked great for streaming to my tablet and phone. Updated to the newest xsight firmware and apps and now I cant stream. My tablet connects and lets me run through setup options but nothing else and my phone app says it cant be opened. Very disappointed and going to try to roll back to earlier versions so my streaming functions.

This App used to be AWESOME. The viewfinder function was awesome, you could setup a tablet or smart phone and just kick back and watch it without having to be behind your gun the whole time. But since the new firmware was released and the X-Sight II came out the app crashes every time you launch the view finder. Very disappointed! 5 stars when you get this fixed!

I have posted a review end July, advising that I have no joy with my ATN day/night 5-18 scope. The scope is still not working/issues and my emails to ATN remains unanswered. This after an Alan replied to my first email sent 21 Jun, asking for more info. This was given on 27 Jun, for a 2nd time, and again on 30 June asking if he has any answers, and until today, no reply. The Obsidian app is also STILL NOT WORKING.

Before the latest update worked great, installed the newest update, gen 1 3-12 and now will not work, keeps crashing.... Please fix soon,guess I should have ponied up the Xtra $150 for the Gen II...

How can you make updated software for the device and not update the phone software so you can use the options you paid for. Sounds like borderline false advertising. Pay for options you can't use...not happy.

Crashes as soon as i try to view the screen on my Galaxy s5a. Zero mode, view finder or reticle setup

Sees my phone, connects flawlessly, but viewfinder doesn't display video. From reading the other reviews, I'm not impressed or surprised. BTW, I updated firmware to latest version before connecting.

Not very stable, needs some UI fixes and should include ability to control all functions/features/settings of the scope. I will update review with updates, if they come...(pretty please, with sugar on top)

The app is OK but needs some attention. It performs its basic functions as it should, you can go in and do your adjustments, set-up etc. See the scope through the phones screen, change reticles etc. But there is a big problem when trying to view and copy images from the scope to the phone. Sometimes it works but other times the images cannot be accessed due to file errors and you will have to remove the SD card and do it manually which is a pain. I tried the iPhone app which works better. The graphics layout also look a bit odd placed on my LG G5 again compared to the iPhone.

This app continually causes the scope to lock-up. My assessment is that the folks that developed this app did not do enough testing. It is pretty much useless.

It used to work just fine till they updated the firmware and app for my gen1 3x12. The 343.bin worked fine, then updated to the 352.bin and now the app crashes all over the place. There's no way to revert back to the 343.bin firmware so I'm SOL till they fix it or I send it back for a full refund seeing they broke it. I've tried older version of the obsidian app with no avail. Totally bummed with a 600 dollar scope that doesn't do what it should. Please fix it. I am using the newest firmware for the scope and the newest app for the phone they have. Doesn't work.

This amazing product has come a long way and will only get better; us "early adopters" have to be patient with the glitches, bugs and constant updates and roll backs. If the modern technology companies waited until their bleeding edge products were perfect, they would be obsolete before release and we would never have the coolest toys on the block. Watch the red line on the bottom of the ratings ATÑ; I know you work very hard, but remember, public opinion crashed the DC-10.

Yuck. Why would u build an app that can't operate the record or photo options or have the ability to share from its stored media section... too expensive not to work. Get some app coding done... and where's the Bluetooth options? The app is S H I T

Updated to latest firmware as of 11/20/2016 for X-Sight first gen....only things that seemed to have updated were new colors for the reticles and new types of reticles....everything else makes the sight crash; try to view content on card, sight says no files; try to view sight picture on Samsung S7 Edge, app says Obsidian stopped working then crashes so nothing works on sight, have to do hardboot just to turn off....love the sight for what it is, but these "updates" suck!!!!!

Works great after the update but need to be able to share videos and pictures to Facebook or messages to really be worth it to much hassle having to hook up to a computer just to share a picture

No sound when video is played on samsung cell phone when in Obsidian app ..nothing wrong with the scope.

App is completely useless. Use to work great but when it crashes all the time....what's the point?

Worked before this last update! Now will not stream video! Continues to say unable to stream check connection!

Every time I try to use the app to look through my scope it turns off

App will stop and crash trying anything but the setup menu on both my Samsung s3 phone and my Galaxy tablet. Please fix, updated the scope to latest firmware too.

Just installed latest firmware. Now my phone (galaxy note 4) won't let me access wifi, won't log in. Says bad password, using original password

New update doesn't function with Gen 1 units. Crashes on most functions.

You can not This enables you to shoot photos or videos nope you can not start recording or save streamed video via this app

It needs to update to keep up with the latest firmware, but it is getting better! Also It needs a common file format option to save & share videos easier via email and messaging privately

Galaxy s7 force close always. To many bugs and no support when you email for any help. Useless!

The app does not want to save the video to my phone and i cant send the video from my phone. If it works the app would get 5 stars
