Canada Topo Maps Pro for Android
This is an essential tool for exploring the part of British Columbia I live in. Use it many times weekly.
Love it but wish it had the management units included in the maps for hunting .
Good map and GPS program with lots of different layers.
Good
Using it for a few years. Not bad for the low-priced app. But c'mon, when cashing map for 30 by 30 km do you REALLY need TWO days to download 50K little files? 800Mb bunch should be downloaded in minutes like HereWeGo does, for example. Something is terribly wrong with maps cashing in this app.
This is app is really quite cool. Going to give it a good go tomorrow when I take the Jeep out.
I love this app. I use it while hunting. Don't have to go out and buy a fancy GPS. Also I use it while driving. Not all maps show you what's around and me and the old lady like to just go out without a destination in mind and this app has made it into an awesome adventure!
This app is absolutely perfect for my purposes. I want topo maps for hunting, fishing, and ATV riding. This app lets me record tracks, import and export tracks, routes, way points, etc. I've ditched my Garmin Oregon 600 and purchased a NOMU S10 cellphone to use with this app. And I can still view all my tracks and waypoints in Garmin Basecamp! Can't beat that!
Since the total elevation gain/loss has been added I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars as this was the only missing feature in my opinion. (tip: for realistic elevation gain estimation remove about 1/3 of what gps tells you)
Thus is an amazing set of maps that I have been without while off-road and have regretted it. I definitely think it's a must have. One problem I've had across multiple phones is that the cache map ability freezes at a number. It won't restart itself and there is no menu in it that shows that current cache and let you restart it. It just freezes. The map works amazing. The cache system needs some work and a menu that shows that current cache progress so you can suspend and restart when it glitches because in my experience, it always glitches. But to restate: this app is a must have. Never been lost with it and it's helped us find hidden hotsprings in BC.
I asked for ordering tracks by proximity; now it's there! With its choice of map sets, it's my favorite - from wilderness hiking in Canada to driving around Spain.
I use it for the back country it great for it . I use Hand held GPS all my life and a lot of good ones. I would put this one up against any of them . I find bing aerial great . Try it your self you will see. I love it ...
As close to being perfect as I could ask for. The interface is intuitive and customizable. I've tried a few other map/tracking apps, and this one is the best
Got this app for use in the woods. Works very well after downloading offline maps. Recommend it for anyone. Only issue is it needs practice before depending on it.
Not as good as the US maps Weather info is missing
Great app for adventurers! The offline map cash has been a very helpful tool!
I use this app when backcountry snowshoeing and biking.
More than I expected at this price and on a mobile device. Awesome!
Very flexible, easy to change basemaps, useful diagnostics
Great app! Works well mapping tracks where cell reception won't work
Perfect for wandering in the woods with my dog & not getting lost in suburbia or wwile fishing.
Seems to do everything i need and very easy to use
Love this app, you will too.
I use it in the woods and it works great for topos.
Best off line app ever
All is good
I read reviews from people who say the maps are outdated. I'm using this for the topo maps. Topos don't really get outdated. Our landscape stays pretty much the same for thousands of years. If you're looking for road maps try Google maps. And the GPS functions and trip master are very good. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who needs high quality topo maps.
I love this app. I no longer bother with planning using computer & gps - this app truely replaces both. The only feature I'd like to see is a "Measure Distance" tool as can be used in the Google Maps app. That would be tremendously useful when route planning.
Got this maybe a month ago. Seriously best 14 bucks I ever spent. Got a jeep, lots of places with no network, this thing does everything. Exploring tons of new trails. Mess around for 10 minutes and you totally understand, very intuitive.
Great mapping app which I use when cycling, kayaking and hiking. Allows you to cache map areas before going there so you don't get caught without a map in remote areas. Waypoints and trails make this a great way to keep track of hikes. Lots of free map layers like satellite view, topography, road maps etc. Definitely worth it!
Great for FSR and back woods camping and hiking in BC. Best features (without which I would not consider using): 1) immediate and full control over GPS via two different buttons, which I use intermittently to save power (5 days of hiking on a recent trip on 3/4 of a full charge on my Xiaomi Redmi phone). 2) High quality, offline (cached) topographic and satellite maps.
I just need a map and where I am the rest is up to me.
I use this for wilderness hiking and have never had any issues with it. I no longer carry paper maps just use the app.
Once I figured how to use the app, just love it.
Easy to read very helpful when needed
Love it. Would be nice if it could also work on Android Wear!
Very intuitive. The best canadian mapping/gps solution I've found.
This is the perfect app for my needs.
Yes, it corrupted my SD card. It's been 3 times now, and I can't even format it. There's a glitch in certain map tiles I think. Don't get this app! It already cost me a fortune and you never know when it might crap out on you (worst place would be the woods, right?)

Too many failures while caching maps, download speeds incredibly slow, unacceptably slow. No support from the developer.
