Learn Korean. Speak Korean

It's decent enough, but I wish the people talking in the Korean app were actual Koreans. I study Korean at university and use this app for practice and thought that their pronunciation sounded very strange. So I got a Korean I know to listen to them, and she told me they are definitely not Korean and sound a lot like Japanese. UPDATE after reply: The developers obviously didn't read my review when they replied. I somehow doubt that me reinstalling the app will make the accents in the app sound more Korean.

They made the same mistake all Korean software makes. Everyday Koreans do not talk like this. You will look like a complete idiot if you traveled to Korea trying to use these formalities. To be successful, you must learn a language by how it's commonly spoken. It's as if all the Korean software languages are trying to prevent you from actually enjoying the culture's language. The concept is good, but it does a great disservice to the students that do not know any better.

I like this app but it's not for complete beginners even if it says it is. I have not come across any lessons for grammar in this app and yet they give us full sentences to solve. I don't know any of the alphabet yet but do not find any study materials in this app for that either. Recently it started to crash my phone. My phone will heat up right around the camera area at the back of the phone and then it will freeze and the next thing I know my phone is rebooting.

Pretty awesome! Really want to get the basics of Korean and this app helps a lot, however, everytime I try to record it freezes and closes the app. Please fix! Other then that it's a fun way to learn a language

Some parts are too easy as with introducing and testing knowledge of the vocabulary. Also only the very formal version is taught. I would sound weird talking like that to my peers

Not for absolute beginners. No explanation of the writing system and no grammar explained. It's useful for practicing what you learn through other apps/books though. Also the pronunciation sometimes sounds like North Korean (according to a Korean friend).

This is a good app but it would be better if the requests for in app purchases didn't show up every time I did a lesson. It is also frustrating that lessons from previous days and tests from previous weeks cannot be reaccessed. It seriously detracts from the effectiveness of what I have learned. That is why I only gave it three stars.

I enjoy this ap. Plus I love how the designers behind the ap always keep adding additional items. I wish there was a way to slow down what the native speaker is saying. In some of the lesson conversations, the speaker speaks so incredibly fast it is almost impossible to follow what they are saying. If they did that, I'd buy all the lessons.

I'm using the ap to brush up on my korean and I like that it is a similar layout to duolingo. However, I wish it included basics such as the consonant and vowel formations and grammar rules as a lesson itself rather than side notes, other wise you're just really being taught words at random to form sentences. Not exactly for absolute beginners but has the right idea in teaching through repetition via audio visuals, written and oral tasks.

This app makes it easier to learn korean. Before i had to go to many different sources just to find the correct pronunciation of a word, but with this app, i can learn korean and know that it is correct.

Excellent app for learning korean language at my own pace! I've been a user for almost a year and 7 months, and I recommend this to everyone who is learning a new foreign language.

I've already got the basics down (greetings, formalities, family, etc.) But this app really solidifies what I have learned, and it teaches me even more! I definetely recommend using this app if you want to learn Korean.

Every time I try to move on past the first lesson (Hello) I get a popup telling me to sign up for a subscription. What am I doing wrong here?

This is a great app to help with your language learning. But I do want to make it aware that translation isn't actually learning the language. But this is a great way to help.

I just started and I'm already loving it. I especially like the fact that it actually has a Korean accent to it and not an English one which is normally irritating.

Since I have already learned how to read and write. This app helped with next step. Sentence formation and pronunciation. So far I'm loving it!

Haven't used it for longer than half an hour and I think I'm already hooked. I'm already dreaming about using this App everyday on the subway to work.

This app is so fun and I love using it because it doesn't take a lot of time away from my other daily activities and it hard to use at all

Fun to learn with audio and visual. Just started this so hopefully my learning will maintain and advance. It is what it is in regards to ads.

This app is so good I have tried so many other apps but for some reason this one is really good at teaching korean

Really give you what u really now basic wise then can escalade to a higher level only downside have to pay after a week of free trial

It could like take more time to help keep each level memorized but it's fun and easy. I'm taking notes ^-^

Designed very well. It's fast and easy. I started a couple days ago and I can already introduce myself and get around a restaurant.

I like the app and its just like duolingo and hoping more phrases and words to be taught as we keep on updating and its easy to learn if you atleast know the basic:)

Great app I love how even after the lesson is over I can go back and do it again and again until I feel I have it down completely and mentality have it

Very easy to learn.. i wish if there exists a korean keypad for some questions where we have to type it

I think this is app is awesome because I can learn Korean, Japanese, and Chines and other languages and I can't wait after I learn them cause so when I watch Korean, Japanese, and Chines TV love drama shows....I don't even need subtitles......YAY

There appears to be no option to turn off the daily notifications, and even if I block them via the system configuration, the app apparently somehow unblocks them again.
