Every first stage was free and you could actually progress and NOW everything is locked except first class and daily quiz...they already had a lot of subscribers who paid but they had to push it even more to squeeze out more money. To sum up, you have to pay if you wana learn, and you will learn because this is an awesome app, well done, but not free.

Molto bello!! Fantastico!! I took two years of Italian in college, & was lucky enough to live in the International dorm with native speakers. I was fluent then, & could read, write, & speak. This app is helping bring it all back!

It gives you a decent base, but it fails to explain anything, especially as far as grammar goes. What rules are there? The grammar sections head in that direction, but don't go far enough. For $10/month I'll get a book and really learn more than simple phrases.

I subscribed but I regret my decision. Slow and could not synchronize properly with my phone basic setting. Like sound, it's in silent mode or not, therefore could play the music or not. The advanced mode is begins from the basics and it's annoying.

I really wouldn't call this free. Aside from 8 short 'hello' lessons, your daily lesson and one chat bot lesson everything else is locked for paid subscribers. The free daily lesson takes about two minutes, and if you are too busy one day you can't go back to that lesson without paying....and if you miss any one lesson in the week you can't do the 'free' weekly lesson without paying. I'm assuming the same goes for the monthly lesson, if you miss any one day and therefore the weekly lesson you can't do the monthly lesson. It seems like a decent language learning app (from what little I've seen), but really you need to pay to get anywhere (which is probably by design). Otherwise at two minutes a day it would probably take like 10 years to learn Italian. I mean if you are serious about leaning a language you should probably be looking at paying for some kind of lessons or books online or off. But calling this free is a little misleading. At the very least they should offer quite a few more free lessons so that someone could even have the chance to decide if this app is working for them and if they want to pay. Oh did I mention after every free lesson you are prompted to subscribe and pay? Cue the 'we are very proud of our free content' response...
