While it looks cool it requires too many clicks for doing basic things (in contrast, the web/browser interface is much better). Examples: just to switch between my two thermostats you would think that I would just swipe to the side... NO, open the main menu, open the thermostats sub menu and only now pick the other one. Turning the Schedule on/off is even harder and for finding how to cancel a temporary temperature overwrite I had to do a massive google search before finding that you must click the dot...

Offline so often. Previously was having even worse issue that the thermometer totally went offline and wouldn't go back online again. After tinkering with my router now at least it's getting back online. But as sooooo many others had said the app often shows thermostat offline even I can see the thermostat itself is connected. Three stars and Emerson needs to fix this ASAP

K70%
by K####:

App often shows the thermometer as offline. I can feel and hear the heat running yet the app shows the system as off. So like most people say it's quite glitchy. They could have a nice thing here if they can fix these problems. And add a usage timer to see how long the ac and or the heat runs.

S70%
by S####:

The thermostat is great, the app is good. I have had the "thermostat is offline" messages a few times recently (after about a year of use without it). However, the thing that really frustrates me is not having run time logging and usage reports! This is an app for an Internet connected thermostat. How hard would it be to record the start and end time of each heat/cool cycle? You sync that info up to my account along with the temp and run state that is currently being sent. That's basically all it would take to provide usage reports. I asked for this through tech support a year ago. I know others have been asking... Why is this not implemented yet??

I70%
by I####:

Have had no issues with app until today. Unable to log in. App says user email/password is incorrect and I'm 100% certain it is correct. Hoping this is just a small glitch and can be fixed ASAP!

I have the same problem that so many have mentioned. Contacted support, they gave me suggestions that did not work. No other device on my network has a problem with the network or router. Clearly the problem is with this device.

S70%
by S####:

not fully compatible with Alexa. It has a schedule which is confusing to set up. has no timers to turn off AC after timer ends. Why can we have a swipe to change thermostat? I have two thermostats and I always have to go to through the menu to control the second thermostat. It gets annoying.

by I####:

Somehow my auto saved user name that worked last week is now not recognized. what a pain. Can you add a tracking function to see what the energy usage is? And a widget please!?

Z70%
by Z####:

This app just sucks, keeps going into thermostat offline mode. I contacted Emerson support they said it must be my wifi, I have verified my wifi connection is uninterrupted. No other device on my network has issues.

S70%
by S####:

Just installed the Sensi app and it is "supposed" to control my thermostat. It worked fine for about an hour or so then the dreaded "thermostat is offline" even though full WiFi was showing.. The website says the "cloud server" is fine.. Haha. Sure it is.. So far these people need to get it together..

E70%
by E####:

There have been occasions where the app is non-functional for a day or more at a time, or is highly unreliable for that time period. However, when it works, it's great...and it works right now.

T70%
by T####:

Yes, has problems with connecting to your WiFi. Support couldn't do anything. Don't belive the corporate response that they fixed the problem. Load of crap!!! Don't buy it.

S70%
by S####:

(Note to Developer: the email address below is invalid.) The thermostat is very easy to control from phones & tablets. Compatibility with smartwatches like the Samsung Gear S3 will hopefully be next.

C70%
by C####:

Generally good and reliable. One gripe...how can I reorder the display of my three thermostats without deleting them and adding them again? Sure would love to change the display order.

S70%
by S####:

Thermostat is missing features that a more basic, non-wifi unit would have (example: temp. hold feature). WiFi on the unit is actively connected about 30% of the times I try to use the app.

H70%
by H####:

It works for a bit then it will show off line. Reminds me of the ex wife undependable.

S70%
by S####:

Now it's telling me that my username and password are wrong! What good is a system that you can control by phone if you can't log in to it!

S70%
by S####:

A piece of junk. Won't even let me set up an account. It says try again later!!! Everybody's best bet is find another one.

S70%
by S####:

It's good, once I got it set up. I'd like to be able to see how long the heater/AC ran each day. I'd also like to be able to ask Alexa what the current inside temperature is, since I don't always have my phone at my side.

S70%
by S####:

Offline all the time. Won't connect to Wi-Fi at this point. Do not buy this cheap garbage!

S70%
by S####:

The app used to work great when I first got it, now it says offline all the time. I can't connect to it half the time now. Please try and resolve this. Other than the app connectivity issues the sense thermostat itself is wonderful!

B70%
by B####:

Works perfect. Have had no issue's. Replaced my wireless router and was simple to connect it to my new router. Able to use Alexa to control when I downstairs, at night just grab my cell phone and set it to what ever temp I want. Best and solid device I have ever had.

S70%
by S####:

Works really well. Only 1 complain is that there is no battery meter of thermostat on app.

S70%
by S####:

Instructions were well written and easy to follow. Installation was simple and straightforward. The system works flawlessly so far. I would like to see the application enhanced to collect run time data and ability to set alerts for filter change based on run time.

Clowntown programming team it seems. Can no longer log in. Two days ago I changed away from the new (?) auto mode to a "cold" mode since I went out of town. I get back and it tells me that my username or password is invalid. Try to reset my password and it immediately says my username is invalid. Thank god this is a rental that I'm leaving and I've learned never to buy one of these things that can't be used without the app and you can't use the app because it won't accept your email address.

by S####:

Was a little more challenging getting a wifi connection to work. But after tinkering around with it a little got it to work well. Very easy to use.

S70%
by S####:

I'm thrilled with this app, but the application service provider often experiences outages that keep customers from connecting to their thermostats for periods of time.

S70%
by S####:

App helped to make the thermostat installation go perfectly. Intuit UI, good instructions. I was concerned about installing this thermostat on a 25 year old system but it works wonderfully. Love this App!

U70%
by U####:

Developers I've had this app for 2 years now and I am very happy with the stability improvements that you have done over time. Please keep it up!

S70%
by S####:

Functionality is tops, but use of screen real estate is poor, especially on tablet. Bigger buttons and fonts (except already large temp font).

S70%
by S####:

All fine except for a setup bug if you are in an area with heaps of wifi networks. Rather than ordering by the strongest it simply shows ten or so networks, and often not your strongest home signal. There is no option to load more networks, and rescanning locks it up. I had to manually enter my network details which was fine as I know the encryption standard etc, but would be hard for a non technical person. Hopefully this bug is fixed, emailed Emerson feedback but got no reply.

by S####:

After update I'm not able to add the thermostat to the app. It shows its connected but where I would select the Wi-Fi icon on the app to finish the setup I can only tap the X or Wi-Fi with X. The Wi-Fi icon does nothing. I removed it from my account and tried to RE add it. It's not registered to another user.

G70%

Great app for a great thermostat. So easy to use and user friendly, and it's coll that the color changes to show its turning on if you're out of the house. Shows humidity too!

L70%
by L####:

It is next to impossible to set up the schedule because the UI to set the time does not really work. I keep moving my finger up and down trying to "scroll" the number wheel, but it only responds and turns once in a blue moon.

W70%
by W####:

An outside temp display on console would be welcome addition. PLEASE add in a usage meter so I can see the run time of my boiler. Keep up the stability or find another provider...

S70%
by S####:

Stupid thing wont let me login and always says network error right after i subcribe and get to the interface thier servers are done after..

S70%
by S####:

It can't maintain the wifi connection for more than a few days.

S70%
by S####:

After updating, I can no longer signed with the account. Forget password is saying my email is invalid.

U70%
by U####:

Since last update i can't log on. Doesn't recognize my email. Doesn't let me create a new account. Keeps giving me a server error.

S70%

Really nice app. Hoping for IFTTT integration at some point, or an open protocol. Never had any issues with the thermostat going offline; works great for monitoring and controlling the temperature while away from home.
