Great app perfect for controlling the laptop plugged into the TV from the couch

Mighty handy, and works surprisingly better than I predicted! By the way, I read other comments here about how this app is not compatible with Windows 10. Well, I am running Windows 10 on a brand new laptop and it works fabulously. But that's just as anecdotal as the guy who said the app is incompatible. So I guess we'll need to tally up all of the comments that say it does not work and balance them against all of the comments that say it does work, and then we can figure it out, huh? Hmmm...

Great app but does not worth the money for it... I paid for the addfree version... But I'm disappointed The mouse mowing to slow.. Great for projecting power point files, the laser printer working smoothly, but not really good for browsing, or mowing files for example.. Connecting quickly with my asus computer. But make the mouse cursor to moving faster or add mouse sensitivity settings!

The seventh remote app I've tried. Installed easily, setup easily and adds itself to the windows 10 startup folder without any issues. Also, it's automatically hidden when running. All the other remote apps gave me problems, this one worked just as I'd want.

Updated review: recent update fixed app freezing on Android 7.1.1. Almost 5 dollars to remove ads seems a bit excessive for a million dollar company. Google Chrome let's you fully remote control your machines ad-free.

Once again ASUS gets right what High end companies should be... Installed on my Asus Laptop and SONY XPERIA z5 and was controlling the laptop and Media player effortlessly within minutes.. No complicated tech jargon and steps to connect, perfect for noobs.. No need to fork out money for mediaplayer or vlc control functions or input ip addresses through router.. Connected phone via bluetooth and pc to bluetooth speaker and still works seamlessly... Love Asus software

Completely ad free version should be free. Bottom banner ruins the app. Click it by accident with my palm over and over. I shelled out money for phone, screen, motherboard and video card all by asus and your nagging me for 3.50 euros (in a world where full games sell for 10 euros) that's sad and wrong.

Why can't they code an app that doesn't require a client server connection like the real Bluetooth devices. Those Bluetooth keyboards & mice require batteries that need charging wasting energy destroying the planet. This sort of functionality should be part of the OS, I hope google does it before Apple or else they'll patend it & then we're stuffed!

Would be nice to put the volume button controls in the mouse window and everywhere else. Keyboard window needs work. Can only send simple characters as a line. Pretty reliable and does what it claims. I think the excessive ads have been removed because I've seen no full screen ads or popups.

It doesn't discover my Note. Their troubleshooting page states the obvious: make sure that both devices are connected to the same network and are the latest version. Well...duh. Both are, but still nothing and no other help. I'm reinstalling Intel's app.

Half score for only half working. WiFi works fine. Bluetooth does NOT work at all. All equipment rebooted and everything is set and on and Bluetooth tried to connect only once and it failed. The rest of the time it failed to find a radio that was right next to the phone. UPDATE : Seems I was a bit Hasty. This app does not seem to like ether win 10 nor the SGS5. Even using the WiFi it is glitching a lot. Oh well. Nice idea of it worked.

Please consider removing limitation on media player remote buttons only for wmp and vlc. I naively suggest that the app should control in a general way just like that play/stop/pause, rewind etc. buttons we have on our computer. I hope I'm getting reply from the dev about this issue

One of the most simply useful remote. Performs all the basic tasks with ease. It has gyroscope feature too in presentation mode. If while typing text could appear immediately (without needing the send button), then it would be even better.

Everything was fine until the Ad nation attacked. Seriously, how badly do you want to milk this? And the media feature doesnt work with itunes (atleast for me) which is a shame. The rest worked beautifully

Nice app. Problems are it only works with windows media player and sometimes you can't connect through WiFi. The connections are always timing out especially on Bluetooth

We have to download the server thing, fine. I went for it, but surprise, it was in fact Smart Gesture that I previously removed from my laptop due to the forced (and way too much prononced) mouse acceleration. Plus, the gesture began to stutter after few minutes. Won't install as long as remote server installs smart gesture

In the connection menu, it says you have to install a program on your PC! Tested it and it works even with Win10 so..... Idk what's your problem?

It's great! I bought a micro PC hooked it up to my "dumb" TV (no internet) and boom. Now I have a fully functional computer that I can use from my couch thanks to this app! One last thing. Please make it so that you can use it landscape so that the track pad is bigger Thanks -Alex

Its frustrating. Both pc and phone is connected to same network but its not showing any device. Same case is happening in bluetooth connection. It is showing device name bt couldnt able to connect. Its ending up with a message "connection error please check the server ".

Easy to use, and functions well. I like this app for when I use my big screen as a dual monitor. Would give it 5 stars if not for ads. The ad is small and at the bottom, but ads eat up data.

The only thing I wish it had its landscape. Other wise awesome and worth paying to remove ads, the only app I've used so far for this that registers as a touchpad device in windows

I had difficulty connecting to my laptop in the beginning and decided to delete it. Going to delete the app from my pc, I decided to give it one more try. It worked! The problem is they don't specify that even if your phone is on WiFi you have to turn off the data as well or the apps don't sync.

I tried for an hour to get this to work with my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and a brand new Acer Swift 3 - they would not connect through this app. The two devices are connected by bluetooth and can transfer files back and forth they just fail to connect by remote link. Installation on the PC side is a little strange as you install a program with a different name called Smart Gesture (NOT remote link) - confusing but it is supposed to work. It did not for me.

I use this for PowerPoint presentations and it works which is great. But could be much better: the preview screens of upcoming slides are tiny and there is a lot of wasted screen real estate as you can see in the screen shots. There's no notes on display which is a let down and I can't see anywhere to remotely blank the screen. A work in progress...

Very clean and very useful, however there are NO settings to play with. I would appreciate the ability to adjust sensitivity for the mouse pointer, I am using a 4k display and it takes like 6 swipes to go from left to right! A minor annoyance in an otherwise flawless application.

I don't even have to get out the bed now. Thanks for making all my lazy dreams come true. You really loose wood while trying to find a good song to play next. Running back and forth between the yams and the computer. You know when she head down and raise the postirea, your really don't have time to make a play list.

Installed it in my android device and wanted to figure how I use it with my Asus ROG GL series laptop,eventually getting an error where the version of phone and PC doesn't match.. I tried looking for latest version of Asus smart gesture ..though I already have it installed yet its older than the remote link in the android device..any help here anyone..

Pros: laser pointer better than Office Remote (+1star), got remote media player (+1star), got remote touchpad (+1star)... Cons: contain ads even though you are Asus computer owner (-1star), server breakdown sometime (-1star)

Used to work fine on my new pc but since 6 weeks stopped working. Support is horrible, they don't even bother reading email let alone giving right answer. Not to mention, there ZenFone2 has endless issues and never honored warranty support, repairs or any assured consumer right services. Never ASUS again. EVER! HORRIBLY ARROGANT BRAND.

Your app says it supports Bluetooth connection but the interface for pc doesn't have any Bluetooth option. Stop misleading.

Why does this have ads, seriously. Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are laggy. I tried multi-touch "gestures" to no avail.

It filled the need I had for a Bluetooth mouse. Being able to zoom is a lovely and helpful feature. All the extra functions are a nice touch but I do wish I had more control with the volume but it's handy none the less. The set up is fairly confusing and takes a lot longer than it should. Trying to download the computer extension bit was easy once I found it but digging around on the internet trying to find the program was a pain and took heaps longer than it should have. tl;dr works great as a mouse/keyboard. The extra features are a good add on but need improvement and would really benefit from more utility focused features. Trying to set up the computer part is a pain in the ass because finding the download link is confusing and vage.

After searching around for an app that I can use to control my pc and laptop and getting disappointments thereafter, this app took me by surprise. Keep up the good work. Thanks

Difficult to control, no consistency in how much you move your thumb on the pad to how much your cursor moves on your computer, taping for mouse clicks or using the buttons often don't respond. I'm using Bluetooth connection at a distance of 2 meters so signal shouldn't be an issue. I'm constantly mis clicking on the adverts when trying to control the cursor, wondering why my mouse has stopped moving only to look at my phone to find I'd been redirected to the advert link.

Would be good if it worked consistently. Won't work at all on wifi setting, won't even find my laptop, Bluetooth I get some functionality but I can only drag the arrow and use left and right mouse keys. No gestures at all. NO settings at all to tweak anything. Curser doesn't follow finger smoothly but can't adjust it...Basically just a garbage app.

Works! But curser isn't accurate. Must be careful when using it. Can't use video player through media option. Have to use curser, but that's not a big problem. Would be nice to add this feature later.

Great for controlling my PC when connected to my TV. Yes its lazy but this is a convenient app to have. Can be temperamental at times when it doesn't connect but a quick restart of my PC fixes this issue. Overall a very handy app to have.

Great job Assus. Great app and very useful. I have found a little inconvenience that would be great if if can be taken care of with a update. When i chose my PC to connect with i get straight to the command screens. However due to the time it needs to establish the connection there are 3-5 seconds at the beginning when the commends are not registered by the PC. During this time if you try to use the commands i usually get the android message that the app is not responding and asking me to wait or close it. Implementing an loading/connecting screen with a timer of ~5 seconds might avoid the android pop up and make the app feel more refined. Other then that, great job! P.S. Adding multimedia support for other players would be a treat.

The sync between the PC and phone was great. Able to use the phone as a mouse and keyboard input. The presentation mode was fabulous for its floating red dot pointer. Played the DVD, controlled volume, paused and played without thinking twice of touching the PC. A very good replacement over other apps used in the past.
