ASUS Backup

It only back up the data but if you try to restore from it,it fails.I own zf2 64 gb version and play rr3 vigorously.Backed up the same in order to do factory data reset and when I try to restored it,it fails.I have to spend 300 rupees again for downloading the game and its related data.Dear developer don't make such junk apps which just pull the RAM and do nothing or you should clearly mention that this app is only for backing up the data which you can't restore later.

I have been a loyal supportor for ASUS and have been using ZenFone 5 to ZenFone 2 and recently bought a new ZenFone 3 max. The backup restore app have been very useful and works great until now when I got my new phone and when I wanted to do a backup, there is a message that the backup app is no longer supported in marshmallow onwards. Now I am lost and I am really disappointed with ASUS. If you guys can bring back the previous backup restore version, I will definitely give u guys 5 stars..

The latest updates is causing big problem. Version MMB29P.WW is causing haywire to cellular network system, gps and wifi. You guys didn't answer to my complaints which i have messages and emails. Should i goes around the internet to let the whole world to not use or buy ASUS products??????? Please fix these problems, and i will sincerely support ASUS.

Pointless! Why use your back up app if we have to copy every file or app we want backed up to our mem card...done its backed up now lol no need for the app...we just did it by copying the stuff ourselves hahaha. Whaaaaat?!! Hahaha. Asus does have great stuff, apps too but this is not one of them.

You can only backup from an SD card, not internal memory?! What the hell is this good for? If it is on the SD card, I don't need to back it up. A word of advice, stop messing with software and focus on hardware.

Absolutely worthless included bloatware. Why? It doesn't work. Would give -ve stars if I could. Worst part is it cannot be uninstalled from this Asus phone. Will never buy a POS Asus phone ever.

Was loving this backup till I had to replace my tablet and now cannot backup on Android m anymore. Please bring this feature back as I cannot find another app like this. Would quite happily give it 5 stars and I don't want to use Google backup

i am realy very disappointed. do not tell us rubbish stuff about avoiding duplication and freeing memory. It is our right to have the option to backup our data locally on our devices not google. PLEASE RETHINK AND ADVISE.

It's not working in ZenFone 3 with naught. Please do something. It shows this system version only support basic functions. However, i couldn't able to perform any backup in this device.

if u want to use ASUS Backup again, and if u want lollipop back again instead of marshmallow... then............. using pc... 1.go to asus website; 2.go to products; 3.select phones 4.select your phone model 5.then on top right, select "SUPPORT". 6.then select "Drivers and tools". 7. select your OS-android. 8.then go to the firmware options. 9.u can download any lollipop firmware for ur Asus phone. 10.after downloading this firmware file in your computer, connect ur phone to pc via USB. 11.copy file2 sdcard

I loved this app. What made it great was its ability to let you choose the options; what to backup(data or apps or both), when to backup(with or without internet), and where to backup. Such a waste asus removed it on MM and nougat update.

It makes me so sad to have this app drop its support for devices running android 6.0. Because I'm used on having things backed up with it this app. :(

Chinese phone & ASUS 90% Icon , function same. In Chinese phone can backup contacts and app also without Google support can share app too.. I love this phone because app backup but can't share

I can't believe that they made an app called "back up" but did not include an option to tell your device to back up. That's just ridiculous. Why does this have four stars?

This was good before But now it says goto settings and use backup&reset. This is very bad! ASUS DON'T LOOSE CUSTOMERS VALUABLE BELIEFS.

This is very good app, many times this app has helped to restore all my data. But unknowingly I have entered password, which I have forgotten now, there is no option of forget password in this app. Please help me to restore all my data back to my mobile.

Excuse me, I prefer to back up my files with this app, I don't like the google account blabla stuff. This one is way better as I can choose what app I want to back up or not. Omg. Its called AsusBackup for a reason. Funny because it is useless for now. AsusRestore app? Whuut. Ughh.

This is completely different thing. With Asus Backup before, I could selectively backup each different version settings or each individual app. Google Auto backup is useless and won't provide same flexibility. Leave that a choice for the user, and don't dictate it with your stubbornness or ridiculous excuses not to make it work . Everyone here asks for that function back in android M. Instead of repeating worthless answer, please get your team into making it work.

It was one of the few good apps that I would like to keep functionality. The new option indicated is the same old Google crap which doesn't allow selection of what to back up. Restore the backup capability in M and I'll give you 5 stars. Thank you.

This app is Better since it can back up all my phone's information including text messages. It is sadly not functional after upgrading to 6.0, I hope we can still use it in the future.

This is called "Asus backup",so why take away the backup feature,I know google accounts gets auto backup,but that isn't what I want, it do not backup what I decide only,please give us back the backup feature,do not say that frees up space,if a backup app can't backup,why still call it "Asus Backup",it seems that Asus are joking ,giving customers a app that can't what it should have done,that is not freeing up space,that is giving us something that junk,and we still can't uninstall even it did not work

Why should a backup app is unable to do its main thing? Is it a joke? Please bring back the backup capability on Android M or give option to uninstall the app. Why should i keep a app that does not even work

Hi asus, I love this apps before you remove its backup function on MM, i never rooted my phone after i found this app. You make me rooted my phone coz you remove its backup function, i have to use titanium backup once more. I will rate 5 stars if you return its backup function on MM zenmax.

Please Asus support to backup data in Android M. This App very important for my ZenFone. Please fix the problem. I believe you resolve my problem shortly ??

The ability to Backup app data without root or usb debugging.. was just amazing.. but now the feature has been disabled in Android M.. please get it back Asus

Made backup of all the apps along with their data. Made factory reset of the phone. Tried restoring, only 12 of the 59 apps could be restored. Lost some important data. Thanks ASUS for the loss

What does it mean? Why it has written? "Backup no longer provides backup function on Android M." If it doesn't work, why this App?

Fed up with this ASUS zen laser 2. Never ever try to purchase mobile. 1 yr warranty is provided, but service centres will provide service. Hated a lot...

Asus have made a statement to discontinue this app for Android M to free up phone memory space and to avoid apps duplication. You do realize that some of us sometimes prefer to use different version of apps and back it up in case the app gets updated. I'm so disappointed to see this amazing app goes to waste just because Google already provide their own so called "backup & restore" in Settings. We cant even backup apk files now. This could be the reason why people will not buy Asus products in the future.

I am using Asus ZenFone 2 laser 5.5 Android 6.0. " Backups are no longer supported for Android M ". Like this the app is saying... And I cannot add Asus account to the Backup Account, in my < settings >< backup & reset>. Why Google account is there?

Just 8 application from all of my backup file can be restored.. thx for solutions, but too late.. and now not support on android M.. bye asus backup..

Marshmallow's inbuilt backup function not good as ASUS backup app. not option for store backup on sd card. online backup app, take long time. This app is the one of the main reason that i choose ASUS. I WANT IT BACK. no reply since 1 month, bad customer care

when i want to restore my backup, i cant see all my backup at this app. there is three app only that on checklist, about 1.46 GB/3.73GB the app says and i cant browse another app. when i remove the checklist one by one it say 1.41GB/3.73GB, 1.39GB/3.73GB then 0B/3.73GB. LOL. what an app?!! then when i check it again one by one it say 51.26MB/3.73GB, 70.05MB/3.73GB, and stuck at 80.46MB/3.73GB. weird!. give back all my app, ASUS! i cant find another app that can handled your .abu file extention.

Backup and email stopped working. Whats the use of an app that restores but doesn't backup. Atleast bring back the Email app. It was the best on play store.. much better than gmail app

Why do you want to take an app rated at 4.6 and make it obsolete? Don't you know when you have a good thing going? Google does not do a full backup & restore of EVERYTHING on a phone...

I backed up all my data from latest version of the app and I did full reset of my phone and when I tried to restore from factory version of the app it was asking for password but while backing up I did not set any password. Finally again updated to latest version then only it allowed to restore without password.

It was life saving app for many times in my "Asus Zenfone 2 laser 5.5", a very must app it was which is obsolete now, i wish not update Marshmallow, did a blunder today. Lollipop was way better. Asus Devs could you plz provide this Backup app in next update else i have to force rooting my mob. *Edited - if there is no use of this app after Marshmallow update then why you asus devs put as system app? ...(though there are some more apps,are their dead sleeping as system app which do work in past) ...is it not taking internal memory? I am suspecting this for data spoofing.....now Start hating you guyz, Asus lost credibilty, acting as a "Cheap Chinese 3rd class oem company ......Such a DUMB ACT !!! Seriously :/ huhhhh

I love this app very much but it is not supported in marshmallow. Plz remove the dummy app of backup and restore from marshmallow.
