Wi-Fi SweetSpots for Android
Five star usage worth, but I'm leaving one out to let us record sweet spots on an overlay image of a floor plan or map. Hint, hint, hint... :) Note for networkers - to measure you need to be connected to the AP. Note for speed measure junkies - this is not your app, it shows connection throughput and nothing else; stay away, and do not rate this app.
Sit in one spot and don't move. Watch how much it varies in strength when you're not even moving. Now walk around your house and tell me it's accurate in any way.
This app is saying i'm speeds like 45 mbps when i really have up to 4 mbps with my subscription. This app is a scam. Wifi analyzer is helpful, so you can try that.
Good for checking wifi blind spots around the house. As others have said, this is testing the wifi network speed between your device and router, not your internet speed!
Wow. Been looking for something like this for a while. Awesome way to test Wi-Fi signals, best of all I use it to test Wireless Mesh Systems.
Just tells you your link be between your device and the modem you can have all the speed in the world but if you're only getting poor connection on WiFi then you will aways have problems using your wifi
With this app now I know where the WiFi black spots are
Excellent app to evaluate WiFi connections: speed and strength. Wifi speeds and strengths measured were validated using Netgear WiFi analytics and WiFi analytics). Simple but effective app.
Super handy app for measuring throughput between your Android device and wifi AP or router (*NOT YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION*)
Very useful tool. Thank you!
Must have wifi test app
The app worked well but seemed to use a lot of data ???
Nothing to tell words. Super app! Awsm!!!!!
Useful to check dead spots
An excellent tool
It seems pretty accurate and is easy to use
Great for testing your connection to an access point
Useful App for Wifi Connection speed
Great app, thank you!
Great app!
Wonderful app ,
Nice Nice
So many bad ratings because people don't understand what this app is measuring
This app trulya works and uses actual bandwidth... Very helpful for finding dead zones and tweaking routers Wi-Fi settings... For those with variations even standing still -> You're not taking into account the possibility of INTERFERENCE as a factor!!! Possibly from other wireless devices operating on the same or neighboring channel... Or caused by EMI from other electronic devices and even from structures...
EDIT: thanks for the fix! Now it works even better! Very nice app to check your wifi speeds. Thanks devs! 4/5 because notes don't save. I want to test speeds of 2.4ghz vs 5ghz throughout the house. The notes are nice to label the area I tested, but when I switch to connect other band, my notes are gone. I will just have to screenshot.
The app is showing the actual Wi-Fi speed, not the Link speed. The Link Speed is constant and much higher than real speed. The actual Wi-Fi speed is fluctuating a lot in some cases because of high noise or interference. It simply shows that at one point of time you have a good speed and next second you have a horrible speed because of traffic, interference or noise. 2G is always overcrowded, try to use 5G as much as possible if router is not far away. Usually Wi-Fi speed is much higher than Broadband(Internet) speed. At least how it should be in real life. If the speed you see on the screen is close to service you pay (for services less than 50Mbps), it is bad and you need to change the router location, or switch to 5G network, or change the channel or change the router.
Superb app. Helped me to identify that some electrical interference was causing drastic drop in wifi connectivity b/w device and router. Mind you, this shows connection speed b/w router and device and not your Internet speed. Thank you team
Some idiots are downvoting it because they have no idea about the app. This app is used for measuring wifi link speed not your broadband or internet speed.
I have a 8 mbps connection. Think I'm getting not more than 25% speed. This app tells me I'm getting a 27 mbps speed. HELLO developers! 8mbps is the max a service operator provides in my area. How is 27 mbps possible??
Badly dumb user is real and do still exist. They dont read before install anything into their device and keep complaining. Maybe the team behind this app could consider not to reduce anything that worked but adding the dark theme, please? Keep it up, team..
Helps to check the blinds spots of my network. Very helpful for configuration of the router placement. Those idiots who think that its the network speeds, disconnect your LAN cable and see before giving negative comments!!
Every time I run this app, nodes in my local network start timing out. Do you know why that could be?

Seems to go fast then stops, goes slow and speeds up again, and repeats. Does this on 2 routers.
After reading the review in PC Plus for the IOS version thought i would try it. Compared to the IOS version the Android version has a lot of catching up to do. It is not as responsive and the U I is disappointing. However it does do well what it sets out to accomplish which is to access WiFi signals in buildings. Hope developer can bring Android version up to IOS standards.
Works great! More accurate than a speed test for networking on different devices.
After installing the app the graph is just like 0.0 all the time no response? Is this app even known to work??
THANK YOU ALEX(AKA MARZBAR VLOGS)
Easy to use and a great help finding the best signal location.
