Zmart Remote for Android
Was so excited I bought 2, one for my Nexus 4 and the other for my Note 2... I have done everything as stated on the instructions and also in the FAQ areas but on the Nexus 4 it won't work at all and on the Note 2 after programming in for the remote learning process it only worked a couple of times and then stopped. Even after finding one of the exact remotes in the setup mode, it only worked perfectly one time then also stopped. I am keeping both units for now in hopes they will upgrade the software where as both my new android phones will work properly. Hopeful...
Can't even get it to acknowledge my email as valid address. ,and spent close to $30.what a waste of money
Doesn't work. Keeps giving me network connection errors and I'm obviously connected to the net. Money back please!
Does not work very well and stupid app has f'n ads. Omg please remove ads. I already paid for your sorry hardware.
Just wasted two minutes of my time trying this ridiculous app.
Horrible interface, completely unable to tell what is going on. At least I only wasted $5 on a deal a day site. Complete trash.
I was this close in buying a Harmony One universal remote for like $250. Screw that. Anyway, my first Zmart Remote dongle came in 2 halves! They sent me a replacement quickly. It works quite well with my Android 4.1.1 smartphone. It now controls (not fully, but most of the crucial buttons) the followings: Sharp Aquos HDTV (2012 model), Samsung HTiB, Motorola cable box. It's not perfect as in that its virtual remote is a very primitive version of my actual ones with some crucial buttons present. Moreover, its learning feature is only 50/50 successful so far, which is a lil' disappointing. But I consolidated 3 remotes into my smartphone, which I always hold onto while watching TV any way. It does work. I'm pleasantly surprised especially after reading those floods of negative (and sadly idiotic) reviews on here. Keep up the great job Zmart Remote! Perfect the app better please so that more remotes are automatically included with more buttons present.
First zmart remote I got was lifeless even the quick test didn't work. Paid for a replacement to be sent and it's the exact same. The waste of money, stay away!
Would not work with my new LG TV, my old LG Blu-ray player or my Bright House cable box. Would not learn from ANY remote I own. I own a Philips TSU7000 and am VERY familiar with training remotes. Guess I will chock up the $20 as a cheap learning experience. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BOTHER WITH THIS APP OR IT'S $20 GADGET!! This is more like a scam.
Five different devices (all less than two years old) and it won't connect to any of them. Great idea but seems to miss more than it hits. Buh Bye.
I haven't had this long enough to comment on it's functionality, but...ads in an app like this is insulting. I paid $20 for the hardware, others paid more. To include ads in what amounts essentially a paid app is greedy. Read the writing on the wall, Zmart, and get those ads off my screen.
On Galaxy S3 the app locks up randomly. After about 20 tries I still can't set up a remote. I should have checked reviews before I ordered this junk. Totally worthless.
Usually with limited functionality. The software has absolutely the worst ui ever and it is just frustrating to see ads on something i have paid for.
Recognized the Toshiba LED TV with no problem, going to try with other TV/DVD I could find. The idea is great, but lack on perfection. The dongle sold out everywhere, perhaps they are going to make a new version of this.
Works fine on my Note II and setup interface is fairly slick & effective but: * signal burst is a bit slow (need to pause a bit between successive presses) * wonder if I got exact matches on cable boxes because no page-up/down or day-forward/back buttons on the remotes. * how do you delete a room? * how can you create a "universal" remote?
This company is so paranoid that even contacting support to allow another phone doesn't help. It really doesn't work anyway after four key clicks to control the TV. Don't waste your money.
The Zmart app would not complete the registration for my remote. It could never access the network. I loaded Zmart Pro and it accepted the registration number but always stopped working in the middle of programming the remote. It didn't matter if it was searching for the device or "learning" from another remote. It always failed with a note that it had stopped working. I have tried 2 transmitters both had the same result. Unless the app can be fixed on Moto X it is useless to me.
Doesn't work on my galaxy nexus or nexus 7... What is with the two device limit and the ads on an app that requires hardware to be purchased? Piece of crap...
Totaly westing time and money so dont think about download
It works on my TV, but not the digital tuner. Learn in function doesn't seem to work.
Needs to buy when I already have one
I've never installed an app that crashes so much. Will try to get my money back
After reading a review on pulse about this thing I decided to give it a try now I want my money back im glad it can turn things on but cannot turn them off and if you have a Comcast box forget about dvr control this is very upsetting I hope they continue support for this device and do all they can to improve it even the "learn in" function does not work maybe if they fix all these issues I will rate 5 stars
Bout the remote and it only has two codes for Samsung tv that don't even work on my tv
Will not allow me to activate with the code provided. Don't waste your time.
Tried it numerous times on nexus 4 against many different devices and in many different ways following all the instructions and tips on how to get it working, I really wanted to make it work, but it did not, whatsoever. Recently, tried it again on my nexus 6 unrooted and it did work on 4 different TVs, had to play around with volumes and signal boosters in the app to get it to work, however, the learn-in feature didn't seem to work.
Bought the dumb little attachment. App freezes while trying to set up my tv.
The remote doesn't work at all frim either manufaturer profiles or learning method.
Controls my TV and DVD player but not my Sony smart blu-ray player
I love my zmart remote. It was a christmas gift and i programed it to every device in my house so i could to test the "limited devices" issues people are having. i don't know if i just have the popular brands but i have not found one that does not work yet. The setup process was a little long but what universal remote isn't? I would defiantly recommend this to other people.
Is there 0 rating just for this app? That is how bad this app is. After paying for the remote, they still put ad on the app. Horrible horrible. It cruahes often and the functions on remotes are limited. Take off ad at least for God sake!!!
You have to buy it before you can get an activation code. When I go to their website and try to buy it it says no longer available. It's crap!
I wish I had done my homework before buying this device! This app is horrible! Crashes every couple of minutes.
Got the "zmart" hardware, it just DON'T WORK (1 out of 10 click on the remote does something, maybe) This is BS!!!
Buy this application right now no more thinking.
Not worth the money not eben the ten bucks I got it for
When installed it requires activation number.
Did work to control any of me devices. Basically it's a worthless 9 dollar piece of plastic. AVOID!
I tried this with the zmart adapter for my droid bionic and I could not get a single device in my house to work with it. Even after trying to use the learning feature, it still would not work on anything.

Does not work on any of my devices. Locks up. Will not learn a remote. If all of that is not bad enough, I bought the device. I should not have to look at ads. Is there a rating lower than one star? Almost forgot very small database of devices.
