Jazz88's involvement in producing concerts has been strong since 1981 when the station began hosting free jazz concerts in Military Park, bringing life to downtown Newark. The same park is now a city jewel ringed by the Newark Museum, galleries, the renovated WBGO studios and the elegant New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). Today, WBGO produces or is a sponsor for more than 100 concerts a year and does live broadcasts of another 25.

Really is the best jazz station in the universe. I'm from Jersey and used to listen all the time. Found the app and it feels like home. Still a member and try my hardest to never miss Felix Hernandez on saturdays. The app was improved and now has a record function. Love it!

There's an ad halfway between every song, it cuts off, I hit play and it plays an ad, then cuts off, have to hit play, then half a song, and repeat. Don't bother wasting your time.

I'm just too far from the transmitter for reliable reception, but with this app I always have good reception. Since WRVR went C&W and WQCD turned pop whatever you call it, this stands head and shoulders above the rest. And this app just keeps getting better!
