ASL Translation
There are many different forms of American Sign Language. For example, there are over 100 different ways to sign “Birthday” and “Picnic” ASL signs vary in different parts of the country and even in different small social groups. We tried to take this into account and provide signs that are most commonly used.

The description of common phrases should have how it's actually signed. (Ex: are you hungry...click watch video with caption "hungry you?")

Great for learning vocabulary. You shouldn't try to teach yourself ASL using just this app but if you have a basic understanding of ASL grammar, this app is wonderful. I use it everyday.

I'm going to college to be an interpreter and thought this would be a good aid. However the app is very sloppy. The signers on the videos are unenthusiastic and often wrong in their signing. I do not recommend this app at all.

This app is fantastic, it's a must have for anyone trying to learn ASL, keep in mind that this app is probably not meant to be used to learn the entire language but is instead a great supplementary tool. The tech support is also excellent, I was experiencing an issue with the text to sign video where it had difficulty loading, I quickly emailed tech support and my guy Josh had it fixed in minutes.. no more than 5 mins, it was great! If you're having an issue email them right away, superb tech support!

N70%

I use this to learn ask and it is very helpful. The text to sign translator is seamless. A must have for people learning.

V70%
by V####:

I cannot describe the relief and joy I experienced while comforting an elderly deaf daughter who could sign but not read lips during the receiving of friends after her mother's passing. No one present knew ASL! When she took the DroidX and realized what was being signed by the on screen model emotion finally came to her so silent isolated world. I intend to learn signing, until then, thank you for giving compassion a voice.

L70%
by L####:

THE app to have for LEARNING ASL. Do deaf people a favor and do NOT use this as a crutch.

F70%
by F####:

Difficult to understand text to sign feature. The woman moves her hands so fast that you can't see what she is doing with her fingers. The common phrases feature is better but 75% of the phrases aren't what someone would use often.

N70%
by N####:

Love it - but would love it better if it could be moved SD card on my smart phone (Not so smart). So that I did not have to clear the cache so frequently. Even with Move to SD card apps - wont move.

N70%
by N####:

It takes forever to load and it is just so slow. I figured I would give it a shot, but I ended up not using it because it wasn't reliable. I could find what I wanted faster on the internet, and not have to worry about it freezing my phone. Takes up a ton of space too.
