AskforTask - Home Services for Android
I needed 2 old fixtures replaced. Found this app and the experience was rather fine. I have already contacted Mike through the app for helping me out with more stuff.
I was skeptical at first but decided to give the app a shot. App looks good and the cleaning was equally good.
Very disorganized, brutal customer service. I can't believe this company is still hanging on. This company is a brutal representation of the Toronto tech community.
Your reputation is so bad, I decided not to subscribe after downloading
Failed to launch. No available "taskers" for many areas.
It's horrible they probably charge the customer 20 bucks and pay us peanuts!! You should be able to accept the task but only after that come up with the time with the client that's most suitable for both.
App doesn't set the mechanisms to incentive Taskers to be responsible for commitments. My Tasker failed to show up at agreed upon time and I can't get in touch with him at all. my task(which was time sensitive) is now a missed opportunity. I can't rate or comment that my Tasker failed to show and now when I try to cancel it costs $30???? I expect my money back.
It looks like the latest version crashes everytime I open it on my LG G4. No issues with any other apps. Compatability issues with the current version of android? Based on the comments below you might want to put in a task for a development team to build a better App. I assume its Java based but based on the unreliability you must be using the google NDK to develop. Which not even google promotes...
nice service app.
Excellent initiative!
The app is nonfunctional, every time I load it I get the same screen "Oops! The Bees are away wight now working..." I've booked several tasks on the website however I cannot manage anything or leave feedback through the app.
Snow removal
**Warning**: their policy is to charge $25 for a cancelled task? Did you read that in the fine print? Surprise! But then I realized that they get a piece of every transaction, hence the gouge. My situation: I booked a task a week in advance, was assigned a handyman who said he'd call 2 days before to confirm, he didn't call, I texted him the next morning, he didn't reply, I called him at noon and he said he didn't know what time he could do the task for me because he "has a full time job". So I requested a new handyman but didn't hear back for a few hours, so I decided to do the task myself. I finally got tired of their daily emails and wanted to unsubscribe, but lo and behold, no unsubscribe button, I wanted to delete my account online, but no - you have do download their app. So I download the app but there's no option to delete your account there either, so I tried to cancel my existing (overdue) task request, and that's when I there was a notification that a cancellation costs $25. Their justification is that the tasker has already allocated time for the task. In what world does just scheduling time but not actually doing the work result in getting paid? Absolute horsesh*t
I like askfortask but this app simply didn't work. Kept telling me to try again later. I booked through the website instead.
Just need to sign up and select the task and give your details and then you will find your tasker
This app is best for using a tasker for my home items moving
Very good utility for getting your cleaning and quick fixes around the house.
Lovely idea to get the help for your home or other tasks

This version of the app performs better than the iOS version! Please simplify the functionality for hiring previous taskers again. The UX of the app is really complicated.
