Italian English Dictionary +

Had an Italian offline dictionary that one just failed. I'd been happy with it, but hadn't realised there was something so much better out there. Ok, you have to pay, but why should that be a problem when you're getting such a good product?

Great when in italy - but difficult when dialect is used. Used every day foe picking up new words. My go to app.

Includes verb conjugations, which is a really big help.

This dictionary is so easy to use and easily bi-directional linguistically. As a second-generation Italian speaker I reference this quite often.

Quite good. Verb conjugations are a big plus. The usage examples are good too. Sometimes could do with more of them. Otherwise, very happy with it.

I've the pro version and use the dictionary several times every day. If a word is not in the dictionary, or you just want "more" there's a go on-line button to check several on line sites (tho you might need a space to bring up the button if your word is part of a longer word). If you are looking up a verb form it's linked to the definition or the other conjugations. Good to have in grocery store.

This is the best Italian-English dictionary on the market. Very fast and has virtually every word you will ever search for. The amount of included idioms and phrases is also impressive

Has everything. Response time is good. Definitions are comprehensive showing all meanings, especially important for words like fare. Don't know why they separated the verb list instead of making it part of the dictionary. You have to look up a verb in the verb list to see the conjugation. Would be better to link to conjugation directly from dictionary definition.

Liked the layout, speed and versatility of functions such as translation. It also passed my test of rare, awkward words before I chose it above others. Also, got a quick full response to an enquiry.

Used free app for 18 months then paid for full app for increased content. Only problem is the constant requests to rate the app have replaced the adverts! Hope by rating it they stop. Recommended.

This is the best I've found and it has helped me a lot to pick up italian vocabulary. Aside from an excellent dictionary, it also provides many useful phrases for various common situations and a great quiz function to help test and learn new words.

Why are the conjugations not tucked away neatly? I don't want to see every conjugation of each verb as I scroll down the list of words. I just want to see the infinitive, and I can conjugate it within its own entry. Are these conjugations counting as more entries? If so, that is misleading. The free version seems to have the same flaw but there are less conjugations so it's not as irritating. Otherwise this is an excellent dictionary. What it lacks in layout it makes up for in content.

I have been using this every day for over a year, it is a vast resource, extremely user friendly, and only a click away on the phone. The audio files are also very good. I highly recommend this app if you are learning italian at any level. One great feature is the offline access. Overall a worthy 5 stars.

I use for my night class learning Italian. I particularly like that it also conjugates verbs for you. There's been the occasional word not in the dictionary but these I look up on Internet. A great assistance to my learning.

The best and only dictionary I use. It's great because you can use it offline. There is a large selection of words and the meanings given are as good as a large dictionary

Might add more examples of words in use ( especially when a verb is preposition-specific). But a decent quick reference for students of the second language. It took a while to realize conjugation was also there which eliminated need for a second app. Easy to use - especially that translations work in both directions.

This is a great dictionary/reference app. A must-have for all levels. The premium version is worth its price, and then some!

The convenience of this dictionary/translator is outstanding. The verb conjugation lists are also a great facility. Could do with Present and Past Participles at start of each.
