ArtPose Male Edition

Edit: I still think that the controls could be a bit more user friendly. What really miss in both the male and female version is that you can't go to skeleton mode and changing the amount of fat instead of just the amount of muscles. I especially miss the last one as it would be very helpful for me. The controls can be awkward as well. It would be nice if you could move the camera and pose the model at the same time. But please do give us more freedom with bodytypes

This is a great app. I do not understand why it asks permissions to access just about every aspect of my device though. I denied all access except to gallery. No reason for it to access anything else. Otherwise this is the best one of its kind i found. Some reviews say it could have more features, you could say that of just about any app. For feature rich anatomy app with a very well rigged character to control, this is the one to get.

I just gotta say wow to you guys for making such a fantastic app . Just a couple of things though for extra improvement. Could you please have an option to take photos in orthographic view, like straight flat 2d shots. A skeleton version which I know your working on and also I noticed some lag (not serious) on my HTC 626 . Is there any option on optimization I.e reducing subsurf values or lessening the detail of the model to improve performance?. Great work and at a great price too.

Awesome, I gave it 10/10 star. This is the best drawing reference app even I compared it with desktop software. ArtPose is super easy to setup, only need 5-10 minutes to create a pose. I'm using it to draw dramatic action pose & angle that hard to achieve using life model. The 3d quality is great, realistic articulation, super easy to control the joins. And the price is cheap. Btw, it would be great if you can create a desktop version too. One issue is how to turn off the auto rotate?

Absolutely brilliant app for artists! Took about five minutes to learn the very intuitive controls, and begin creating complex poses and lighting. This is well worth the purchase! An exceptional tool for both beginner and veteran artists. The vast library of preset poses really helps get you started.

I've been drawing for 22 years but still have a difficult time picturing certain poses in my head and accurately depicting them on paper. This app helps tremendously. The controls are a bit tricky at first but you pick it up. Overall, fantastic app!

The app is pretty good, far superior than most apps. Yet there are 3 major issues with it: 1. There should be an xyz axis on every adjustable joint so we can more accurately tell if we are moving something forward/backward, to the left/right, up/down, or diagonally. 2. The forarms should be able to rotate at the elbow to show pronation and supination. 3. The fingers should be adjustable as well instead of just having the option of hand presets

This app is really recomended for artist. I think it would be a good improvement if the developer can make a multifunctional option, for example I can rotate while i'm rectify the light or the gesture, and one more input, this app also must support for pen option. But anyway I still consider this app the best among other similar app.

The anatomical accuracy of the male model is pretty good and provides great reference if you want accurate poses (and not to mention fantastic foreshortening), but this app would be even better if there was a greater variety of body types (heavy set, elderly etc) instead of just a range between lean and overly muscular (still using the slider of course). Another nice thing to have would be the ability to have greater control over the red point adjusters in order to make more slight adjustments in the pose.

As a budding figure anatomy artist who doesn't have a live model to work with, this app is fantastic. The poses aren't 100% perfect (the hip and leg joining in particular) but the sheer variety is just amazing and you can tweak individual body parts within the poses...literally anything is possible! This is such a huge help, well worth the small price!

I love this app and i use it often but i hope you update it with more hair styles and facial hair maybe? I wish i could control the facial expression but that is asking too much i think. Anyways. Great app and I recommend it to any artist

Its a great app with a huge collection of poses in it already. It would be great if we had the x,y,z and the rotation controls that we could actually see like in a 3d software.

I'm having problems on controlli ng the joints into the pose that I want. I want to have a more control on the joints just like Pose tool 3D by Alienthink, Inc.

Beware that you should know some real life movement. Like how you move your arms,legs,etc. Really have a hard time to not making this app becomes glitch app. lol And need time to learn how to use this program especially for using finger to move body parts. Unless you use preset poses.

However if you cab add a feature to adjust each finger individually it'll make things far better.. Great App BTW!

Very good but the waist should be able to move more and have better control because the point on the waist move the whole figure not just the waist, the chest and the waist need to be more flexible to bend more (to the front) because it bends to a small limit .. if you update it with that it would be great.

I love this app. Only thing is I wish you change the facial expressions. It would be helpful for us novices.

Only app of this sort that works as expected. And adding a skeleton view might make it even better! :-)

Fairly intuitive node-based system, works better than some of the ones I tried before this, and costs less as well.

It'd be really nice if they added more poses and then actual skin tone color

The best pose app on the market, would have easily paid €20 for this, it's incredible, thank you, just going to buy the female version now.

Ever felt stuck cause you cant find a good reference when you draw? Thqts no problem anymore!! This is seriously the best poseapp for reference ive ever seen. Well worth the money spent.

1. A real skin texture would be most welcome. 2. Posing spheres aren't really easy to use, I always end up selecting a predefined pose but... 3. Selecting a predefined pose is a real chore: those thumbnails are ridiculously small and their sorting is obscure. Make it fullscreen and maximize your thumbnail size, please!

This app is probably one of the best art pose programs out there but it lacks some basic art school features such as volumes mode where you just see the body as primitives much like those wooden pose dolls we all have. It helps in breaking down a pose quickly. Also I wish anatomy mode had more detail to the texture or had a mode to show you major muscle groups in different colors.

This is a great reference program, being able to change the lighting angles, perspective and camera are great. The new "gallery" pose view is cool too (though it is a tiny bit slow on my device).The only thing I might like would be an option for sliders to rotate parts/ limbs on different axises (sp?). If I want to tilt the torso, for example, I usually end up rotating it as well when I don't want to.

Im running artpose on a samsung galaxy s 10.5 tablet. Its great to use but the save function dosent work. Also there is no button that allows you to close the programme once you are finished.

The newversion is great. But i used to have the program on both my note3 and my note10,1(2014 edition), now only note 10.1 successfully install the program. i tried 4 times to install on my note3 without success. but still a great program to use on my other tablet.so, now it's 4 star.

Great app for male references. Tons of premade poses to choose from and fully customizable options. The support team is also very helpful.

Running it on the lg G stylo is a little glitchy doesn't run as smoothly as artpose FE

Ok so I gave it a little more time and I'm in love with this app. There are a few things I would change but it's awesome. Can you make a hulk version. Man I could give you a lot of ideas to add on this or maybe make another one or two.

Amazing app. Great models as some features I a minus because adjusting limbs could be a lot better, and we could use and exit app button. Otherwise terrific app!

Apps work just as described. I purchased a similar app, which shall remain nameless, and it would not maintain the saved poses. This app really works
