MKV Amp Player (MP4, DVD)

Now, I'm not directly saying that this is a complete copy of VLC, but im just saying, its funny how this has the same buttons as VLC but blue, it crashes with the same things as VLC does, or did, got the same menus, plays the same videos, doesn't play other videos that VLC can't. (This is pretty much why I'm here) come up with ya own stuff and atleast try and make it better. Making me waste my data and time just for a copy of another app that i couldnt get to work. This isn't even worth a backup app for the app I'm failing to get working. Oh, and i dont want help, i just want to complain.

When opened it looks like VLC but VLC crashes my machine. Other media players will open mkv but can not seek to a time. This can fast forward or rewind. You can also enter time stamp to play from. Great find!

Any videos any format anything will be playing the app I have many video player download but not use only one I love it the player pls friend you download the app very useful

I tried it the first day I downloaded it, it worked great!!!! I went to watch a movie the next day, error message pops up. Been doing that since, deleted it and reinstalled it, same thing. Sort it out please.

I use this for all video files over the stock video player ask day long. Flawless performance and great UI along with all the features I could ever ask for from a video player, first review I've ever felt compelled to write, this app definitely deserves the 5 stars I'm giving it.

Having difficulty reading subtitles......playing video was very good. Pls make the subtitle font big enough.......I'm using Samsung Note5

Plays the stuff no problem, nice player overall and the adds aren't intrusive. Definitely a staple and will keep using

Connected my external pc dvd writer to my andriod tv box after struggling for DAYS to get a dvd to play the ONLY player that dont just display the files but actually play them is this one HALLELUJAH

Ceased to respond when started an MKV film (web-dl) with subs.

Often need to restart my cellphone so that this app could run effectively... If I don't restart, after playing video only able to listen to sound of d video... Means every video becomes as if it's an audio file n whole screen shows just gray color.. Please solve d issue

This app is just dumb,i tried playing mkv video files that i downloaded through my lappy but it got hanged as f***. Worst app ever wish i could give u zero stars. MX player is better

Was my favorite app and now will not open it says restart I tried uninstalling and downloaded it again but nothing works. It says there was a major problem restart amp and just keeps giving an error code.

Started off as a 5 star app, but recently it's constantly freezing and refuses to recognize media in my directories, so it is effectively useless. I tried to contact the developer, but have had no response for a couple weeks. Disappointing...uninstalled.

I'm finding that playing videos larger than 3GB make this unstable and freezes the app. Under 3 gigs and I've enjoyed using it over my other media players.

I uninstalled it after first usage.The problem is the video hanging in the middle of the movie when you fast foreward it.MX Player is the best.Don't be cheated with this cheap app.

I had a 10 GB file, which MX and vlc player had problems playing without stuttering. This player gave me smooth playback of that file:)

This is a photo copy of another android app called VLC that someone has just put adds in. Wouldn't be angry if it had actually played Media files as well or better than VLC but it fails to deliver.

I was looking for a video player for mkv files and ones that mx player wouldn't play because of codec issues, and i found this and not only does it do that, but when you hook it up to your tv it kills the screen on your phone saving your battery. Seriously awesome app thank you so much.

Playing all mkv movie video audio both but it not support 1080i file.developers kindly work on this .

The last few weeks this app was working fine, but now it closes immediately after opening it, if the developer can help me I'll gladly change the review to 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, I liked the app very much but I just can't use it any more..

Just tested a sample video of my two grandsons playing "twinkle, twindle, little star..." with my new Android 5.0 (lollipop) 11.6 inch tablet with detachable keboard. At this beginning stage, the only suggestion that I would make is to add a paid ad blocker.

i like support all format but i can't load subtitles..

Tip: In order to pick up where you left off in a file you need to enable "ask confirmation to resume" under interface settings. ONLY player that will play ALL AVI and MKV audio codecs. Some older audio codecs from torrented movies and complete TV seasons will not play in any player other than Amp Player. I have MX Player Pro, VLC Player, ES Media Player Pro, and many others and Amp Player is the only one that works. I have tested this on various devices; 6 Samsung, 4 ASUS, 3 HTC, on 7 different OS versions.

Even after deselecting internal storage app would not let me browse sd. Does every thing else ok. Very disappointing that I have to use a file manager to browse SD card for media before I can play it. Is a fix on the way?

This app is almost a 1:1 copy of VLC's mobile app. Its clear that you've just pasted your logo over theirs and made the interface blue instead of Orange. I'm honestly surprised nobody else has caught this.

I wish I had downloaded this one to begin with. I was very frustrated with VLC being slow and choppy, even though I have a good phone (Samsung Galaxy S6). Even worse, when I tried to play MKVs with it, there was so much noise and corruption in the video that it wasn't even worth watching. I went and found this player, and it works at 100% speed 100% of the time, and zero noise in the video. The UI is basically a copy paste of VLC, but this one is infinitely better.

Excellent app works right out of the blocks and plays all my formats after not being able to play some of my fav movies. After many megabytes waisted trying to download this app then that app I finally found a player that's equiped with all the codecs I need.

I am using galaxy note 4, and appearantly the subtitle went too small, i would like a customized subtitle in style and in size... thanks..
