AROI

The AROI attaches a very high importance to the academic & research activities in Radiation Oncology with its related disciplines. To improve the overall standards of post-graduate teaching, clinical practice and adequate growth of this discipline the Indian College of Radiation Oncologists was established as a dedicated and integral part of the Association in 1992.


Brief History
The first workshop under the banner of ICRO was conducted at Bangalore in April, 1997 on "Precision Radiotherapy" and since then various workshop under ICRO have been conducted in different parts of the country.


A CME programme is conducted by the ICRO along with the National Conference of the AROI regularly since 1997. Various topics of recent advances in Radiotherapy along with important topics are discussed for the benefit of postgraduate students and young Radiotherapists.


In order to encourage the practice of Palliative Care, ICRO along with GCCI provides a grant to the various State Chapters to teach palliative care during their Annual State Chapter Conference
