Hi. I would like to tell you that you should totally make design for this app just like on ios. And yes. there you have very informative and predictable design with very nice animation which makes a musician feel more comfortable and convenient while viewing a tab. Everytime I view something this buggy animation drives me crazy. This animation I can even get for free in Tabviewer app.All musicians will say thank you and only then you'll have our 5 star rating.

Crashes everytime I have a great idea and loses all the data from the particular tab. There also seems to be no way to add dotted notes besides manually placing notes in a certain way (8th note + 16th note tie-in). I'd like to have a lot more control over my compositions, but the software feels very limiting. It needs to have more of the capabilities of its PC counterpart. Besides the rather primitive software setup, this is a very convenient app that I am otherwise pleased with. It needs upgrading.

Great tab app for learning. Plays smoothly and sounds fine for playing along. Tab library management is great. PLEASE ADD A PERCENTAGE TO THE TEMPO SLIDER. I can't tell where 100% is and there is no way to know the bpm (unless I'm just not seeing it). Seems like a major oversight. I'd give it 5 stars but that is basic functionality that must be included in a paid app.

Great app! User interface could be better, but it works. Awesome that I can work on the same files between the app and guitar pro on my computer. My only issue is that it doesn't run guitar pro 7 files. (Only gp6). Would be really really awesome if an update to run .gp files happened

Don't expect to be able to make full songs with this version of the app. You have a scratch pad that you can export ideas on a single instrument to things like Google Drive, but the app can't make full songs. Works great for everything else!

Hello Arobas, it has been 2 years since my original review of 4 stars complaining that 'let ring' does not function correctly (does not stop ringing out when written to stop and creates a drone underneath everything unless you pause and play again) to which you replied that it would be worked on. unsure if this is a difficult problem to fix? the app would function much better even with the let ring feature entirely removed.

It crashed on me after 80 measures with lots of 16th notes. I had saved it but I couldn't figure out how to reload the same file back into "create mode". How do you edit a preexisting tab? I thought this would have been easy but the create area seems to have no load option.

Very useful, it works good, no lag, nothing wrong to say about this app. But there's things you can add like the possibility to write on a download tab if they're wrong on something like that and change the tempo in the middle of the tab (a little bit like the computer version). An upgrade could be great. Btw good job guys

Worthless for writing tabs, especially in alternate tunings, and its been years since I first made this complaint. They just don't care. Don't buy unless you're just learning other people's music made in typical tunings with typical chords and techniques.

I have been using Guitar Pro for years and I am very dissatisfied with this app. It's extremely buggy. My work has been erased with no chance of getting it back 3 times now. Many of the features supported on the PC app are not supported here, such as tempo and instrument changes. Cannot create tabs with multiple instruments. By far the most annoying part is that it is impossible to copy and paste tabs across files. An app this half-***ed should not cost money.

Q70%
by Q####:

When I first downloaded this app it worked perfectly. Now it seems I can't even access the downloaded files to transfer them onto my phone. Aside from this problem that makes this app completely useless. It was great for anyone to be able to learn with convenience.

I like being able to tab out riffs, but not happy with only being able to tab 1 instrument, & NOT being able to change both Tempo &/or Time Signature at a certain point (Bar) in my tab's. Needs to auto-set bar lines. Please make it just like PC Version of GP5/GPX. I wanna tab out full songs with Tempo & Time Sig changes, Multiple gtr parts, Bass, Drums, etc... Not too happy with purchase of app that's barely useable to me. If it had full functionality I could do my work properly & would have awarded 5*

I was happily tabbing out a riff I was working on and tried to open it and there was mostly rests on the page. "Oh well", I thought, "must have been because I was changing the sounds too often." So, I continued playing with it. I even tabbed out this song I was working on for months, but couldn't organize right. The app helped nearly finish in a day and I fell in love with it. But, I went to open this song and all 194 MEASURES were gone! "Corrupted file". I am fuming. Twice within 24 hours of purchase.

Its an amazing app ill rate 5stars after two things. Multitracking would be nice but I imagine it would eat the phone or tabs memory after half an edit. However, to do multitracking I found that creating a blank slate with x amount of tracks on guitar pro, save it to an email, and open it in Gp app works so you can edit multiple tracks. My other issue is that im on an HTC. I get alot of crashes after i delete 5 or 6 stems. Please fix :(

UPDATE: Crashes every other time when loading a tab after leaving a previous one. END UPDATE... I bought it to be able to write down ideas and riffs, but it's almost too basic even for that :-/ Common guys, desktop version is awesome. Let's bump this app to the top of the line. Show them other app makers how it's really done ;-)

X70%

I use the desktop version and love it, and use this just for playback. It works great, but I have a few wishes: heslider for tempo was expressed as percentages, and that it had the ability to so progressively increasing speed loops as with the desktop version. Also, for some reason it consistently tells me certain files are corrupt, but I'm able to open the same files with my iPad and desktop (windows) version. Finally, I never feel like MySongBook integration is all the way there across any of the platfo

I don't know why I waited so long but this app is a life saver. It is a one track writer and difficult to start with how to use but once you play with it a bit, it gets easier. Also, the customer service is quick and detailed too. I contacted the developers and recieved quick, thorough and professional response. Basically it's this, you have an idea, write out and hear what ya have until you can jam it. I'm ridiculously satisfied with this and recommend it to anyone that needs a writer on the go.

In general, this app is pretty handy. Useful for jotting down riff ideas quickly. However, it could benefit so much from multiple tracks!! I'm sure others would agree that riff ideas do not take long to escape your mind, and I could really use multiple guitar tracks and a bass track to really keep said riff ideas from disappearing. Particularly frustrating when the multiple examples on there ALL have multiple tracks. Any chance of this in the future?

T70%
by T####:

It does what I need it to do, except it doesn't open all the files I have (which are all .gp5 files) and sometimes changes things by itself to make it work for your phone. Obviously it's easier to use a pc when writing but this works fine if you just want to view, play or practice your tabs.

L70%
by L####:

This is wonderful for what it is. The only thing I would REALLY like to see is the ability to edit .gpx files in this app. The main reason I want to bring my tabs with me is so I can edit them to add ideas when I'm not near a computer, instead of only being able to create brand new tabs every time I have an idea.

X70%
by X####:

After spending a couple hours tabbing a song i wrote the file corrupted. Not only that but the app would crash if i tried to cut a bar. When trying to copy and paste it would mess up the song. Would not reccomend

F70%
by F####:

Grrat for writing those little one measure riffs, but I wish it would let you tab out more without smashing all your tabs together. Once you export the long version of your smashed out tab it will only play the first few measures then stop. I like the app, I just wish I could write longer phrases with it.

X70%
by X####:

This is an okay app but could do with improvements to UI, very fiddly when creating tabs. Also couldn't figure out how to do whammy bar dips and a few other things. But otherwise really good, easy 4 stars. edit: changed to 2 stars solely because you can only set tempo in increments of 4 bpm *facepalm* I recommend a different tab editor.

M70%
by M####:

I tried many apps just to view/playback tabs. Most of them are buggy, sound not in sync with tabs, unable to handle speed changes. Or they wait to long scrolling to the next line, so you can't see what the next note to play is. This app might cost a bit, but it does all those things right.

X70%
by X####:

DANG I'M HEATED. I got this app and fell in love the minute I started working with it. A lot of small features I'd really love to see, but over all, it does it for me. You know, understanding this is not supposed to be a full fledged Guitar Pro alternative. I finish an entire song with it last night, then go to open it today, and it's corrupt. Highly disappointed to the point I'm probably uninstalling until there has been a guaranteed fix. I look forward to improvements!

X70%
by X####:

I'm having trouble with it crashing when I select a bar and try to cut it. So I had like 16 bar made up which took me some time and it crashed and I lost 14 bars worth of work. I would also like to be able to add notes in between notes, once they are put down without having to delete the bar or change the whole bar note by note just to add one

X70%
by X####:

Why aren't there options to change instrument/number of strings/tuning after you've already added a track? Also, you can't even seem to add a new track to an existing score. Very annoying. Otherwise, a decent app

X70%
by X####:

The interface is just awful. Navigation is a nightmare. I just wanted to read a gp5 file I had downloaded but it was too complicated. The layout of the partition could be wayyyyy better. Could be reworked with material design. The application was somewhat slowish, but it was bearable.

I have been a fan of Guitar Pro since I was really young. This app is almost like the desktop version, but one can not edit or construct music as efficiently. Its excellent for learning tablature though.

M70%
by M####:

Just get what they offer for free. This app as nothing special that you should be paying for. Power tab is better and it's free. I want my money back. How the hell do you search for guitar tabs on this thing. Search always comes up empty.

B70%
by B####:

Alot of potential here. Glad to see they added transposition. I've been asking them to do that for the computer version for years. Biggest flaw is i can't learn songbook songs at different speeds. That is my favorite thing about guitarpro. I can't belive you guys would leave that out...as a result i find i only use the computer version.

F70%
by F####:

The version I recieved doesn't have the multitrack/multi-instrument function, it's still better than any other tab app on andriod. Great job but still due for improvement.

X70%
by X####:

I was expecting to be able to edit tabs with this app but it's just like most guitar tab viewers already on the market that are for free. Except with out the crashing. You can make your own tabs but I wish to edit existing ones

X70%
by X####:

Tab editor sucks, but that's par for the course with apps. Wish you could dial in percent tempos instead of the imprecise slider. UI is kind of obtuse. Everything else about it is great. Really good if you're a teacher/working musician and want to show a student something or jot down ideas on the go.

J70%
by J####:

this app is great and i can see why so many people are using it... but theres one thing id like to see added and thats being able to write and edit drums. im a drummer and write my own beats for practice/exercises at home on GP6 on my pc, why not be able to do it on the app aswell while im out and about and the beat is fresh in my head.

A70%
by A####:

Overall it's pretty cool, but the tempo slider is just bad. At least you could show a percentage or something, but I don't think that an actual bpm setting would be an impossible thing.

F70%
by F####:

The only thing I wanted this app for was so I could have the speed trainer from the PC version on the go. I was blown away to see it wasn't in here. This app is nearly useless for practice.

X70%
by X####:

You have no competitors so there is no need to make an app better. But there are plenty of possibilities to make it even better. For Android guitar pro is a half baked solution. No ability to hide frets, show multiple partitures simultaneously, drums and so on.
