In cooperation with developer all problems with SMB/CIFS playback from network disk were resolved. So I'm happy again with this extraordinary player. On the other hand, there's of course some areas for enhancements, such as better UI, adding visualization, album cover preview for album directory playback especially when playing from remote sources etc. - network playbacked media can't be rewind/ffwd so indexes etc. can't be used (adding full network buffering which would allow this is something what the developer is considering though).

The one I turn to that plays my shared music from my Vortexbox

I have found annoying bug in SMB/CIFS implementation: after about each 30s or one minute of playback it gets dropout or second break. And it cannot be resolved by setting cache or any other way, no matter if lower bitrate oggs are played or flacs... Other players capable of LAN playback such as BSPlayer are working normally.

Loud enough, voices move around. I can use it with Suntouch Solstice IS1 and a defective louder right sound gaming headset.. But I need cleaner, clearer fuller sound, I don't know what gadgets are compatible with it.

armamp plays my music well, try before you buy, the ads are infrequent audio bursts ;-) not too much to pay

awesome player, a little clunky interface but the SQ more than makes up for it. Love the samba support as well

best sound but i need to force stop it if i want to use other media player because if im watching video it suddenly stops so annoying
