AR Lucida for Android
Recently I upgraded my phone to Samsung J2 (2016) and the view through the camera looks elongated. I did not have this issue with Samsung J2 (2015) model.
Got a problem I installed it on my Samsung TabA Android 6.01 and it works great. My wife wants to install it on her Samsung TabA which is about a year older but when i go to playstore, Im told that the device (SM T350, Android 5.02) is not compatible how can i get your app to work
I'm counting on you Vincent to make this version of the app as robust as the iPad version. This wouldn't install on my Samsung Note Pro 12" tablet because it is one version below the OS requirement but I'm hoping you will find a solution as I don't want to jailbreak my tablet for one app and Samsung is never going to update the operating system further. Fortunately I have a Samsung Note 4 Smartphone which is updated so decided to buy the app anyway to support the developer, even though I don't want to use it with a phone and would prefer using the app with a tablet. I'll update my opinion of the app after I've had a chance to actually use it although so far there have been crashes while trying to access photos through X-Plore file browser.
Got to be honest, had no idea what I was getting myself into with this app, but now I can't stop using it. It's fun to draw again.
Does most of what is advertised. You can't use the camera to take a picture then draw it just yet. Sometimes the photo resets itself when I press the home button but don't close the app. App gallery shows photos that don't exist anymore (not on phone, not on any online accounts but still shown).
Love the flashlight, the zoom in function and locking down the image to the paper. I use it to sketch very lightly before painting with soft pastels. Easy to use on my Samsung phone.
I can't use this .. Got shut off everytime I tried to open from gallery .. What's goin' on ?
Would not install on a brand new RCA Viking II tablet with Android 6.
Camera fish eyes.
Great app. I wish it had a timelapse record.
Let me tell you all a story... one day this kid in my school (who I absolutely hate) comes in and draws this really amazing picture. All of the sudden, he gets all of this undeserved attention (I'm sure you all can relate to this). So instead of learning to draw and taking time to master a tough craft, I just downloaded this app... within minutes I had some really amazing stuff to show off. If you're looking for a shortcut, or even if you're already an artist who needs to touch up, download the damn app
It's worth the 4euro price for the ability to lock the picture in position against the paper/canvas. You don't accidentally drag it around when adjusting other controls. (The free apps I tried don't do this). The other exceptional feature worth paying for is the ability, once locked, is to zoom in to a small magnified area of both the original picture and the drawing. Panning around moves both images together. This is great for fine detail as getting the eyes right. Really practical and to be recommended.
This app is well worth the price. It has rejuvenated my passion for drawing.
It is clear right when you open this app that the developer put a lot of effort into making an enjoyable experience for artists and people who have never drawn in their life, if you are considering buying this, just do, absolutely worth every cent
Already the best…. The app is not yet complete, but already it has features similar apps don't. The ability to zoom in and out puts it in a league of its own. If you like drawing and want an aid for getting proportions or detail right first time, this is the app to get.
I'd been waiting on the android version ever since I saw the iOS demo on youtube last year. Glad its finally here.
This app is well worth the price. It has rejuvenated my passion for drawing.
I have this on my iPad and now I can have it on my Android phone. And this app is better than the Apple one.
Interface looks good but would not load any photos from my camera roll, wouldn't let me take a new photo and no 'slide' feature. V. Disappointing.

Great app .....at last I can get faces to look like they should with the bits all in the right places. My husband has managed to update my android version and I can have AR Lucida on my own Samsung Tablet ... Thank you Vincent for getting us sorted out. My first atempt at using it was a portrait of my daughters dog and it turned out great. Who knows where I will be when I have mastered it....... I did try a couple of other versions of Camera Lucida but they did not come anywhere near AR Lucida. THANK YOU for helping me overcome my artistic frustrations
