Set List Maker

SAVE YOUR MONEY - for a non-free app, this app works almost as bad as Snapchat. It crashes CONSTANTLY. I've tried updating it to no avail. It's really too bad, because, at its core, it's a really great idea, but it crashes on me more than it works (which, during a gig, is a massive bummer). They should give this app away for free, with how bad it works. I have free, third-party apps that work better than this. Maybe if they figure out all of the bugs, it'll be good. Not happy so far.

A great app for live music. Not without little bugs, but it's very versatile and support is excellent. I got all my bandmates to buy it and we can't go a gig without it. The main thing that could be improved, is a way to copy/paste lyrics and chords on a laptop online or with an application. It's a lot of work to put songs into the database, even though you can work around that by screencasting the tablet onto the computer with Vysor or AirDroid.

I had really high hopes but this app is just WAY too frustrating to set up. It crashes a lot, auto-scrolling is a nightmare to get correct scroll speed, and layouts are complicated and confusing. Wasted money other than to send midi presets to my midi devices but many other apps can do that too. After sending so many crash reports I finally gave up. Wound up with an iPad and Onsong and now have a working solution.

Lovely piece of software written very specifically for musicians...Some really great features. I have been using the software for performances for the past 12 months. At the lowly cost it is superb at what it does.

I bought this app with THE SPECIFIC REASON OF SENDING AND RECEIVING MIDI DATA. It was another couple bucks extra to get the upgrade, which is no big deal, what is a big deal is it won't let me install the upgrade. I select it, push continue...and NOTHING! And now I just paid 15 bucks for NOTHING! Fix this please so I can actually automate my rig, and you will get your 5 stars. I am thoroughly pissed right now....

A great app for keeping your entire band on the same page.

Was Force closing when trying to edit any of the layouts. I attempted to create my own layout, restart the app, reinstall... same issue. Seems to have been resolved.

It crashes often, but always seems to have saved what I was working on. It uses almost no battery when you're not screen sharing, and that means I never need to plug in my tablet on stage. I'd say it's a top app for the money.

Indispensable app. Started using on IOS before Android version was available. Took awhile for Android to catch up and stabilize, but it has been rock solid for awhile now. Love it!!

I was looking for an app that I could sync with an Apple user. Found out this only syncs set lists, not the actual documents. Very disappointed. Also, the PDF lyric sheet views are blurry, making it tough to read while playing.

On top of being a great set list program, MIDI control for external equipment like lights, Floorboards, Vocal processors etc., and teleprompter(s) with cues (MP4 video) are all possible with this App. And it's stable!! Incredibly impressive app.

This is a great app. Besides the benefit of having all your music and lyrics available in one location, you can easily manage your midi devices. The ability to instantly jump from bank 2, patch 3 to bank 42, patch 1 is worth the price alone, not to mention the excellent support. Thanks Arlo!

I love this. The best thing about this is that the developer, Arlo, is on top of making this app the success it should be. He personally addresses your needs and concerns.

When I first downloaded it is was very pleased with how it worked, now it's not letting me add songs or edit anything, it stopped working the other night during a show and that really sucks, I'm very disappointed in the app and wish there was a way to get my money back, if not at lest fix whatever is wrong with it!!!!!!!!!!

I have used this app for about a year. It is constantly evolving becoming more intuitive and useful. Arlo, the developer is immediately available for support and in some cases makes a requested enhancement the next day. I use it on a samsung tab 3 10.1 tablet and the older op system limits some functions e.g, ability to change music speed for practice. However, once you go through the learning curve and customize some layouts, link music and link documents (of lyrics and chords) everything you need is visible to you and anyone you share databases with. Arlo and the online support were tremendously helpful. It has so many features that an average musician will feel they are underutilizing this app. I highky recommend this app.

My band has been using this app for a over a year with great success. The last update crashes on Android, but ok for Apple devices. Please revert this update till you have a bug fix.

New update is terrible!

App closes every time I click on a show to open. My ipad version runs ok but I cannot find a way to get over the problem on my android tablet.

Just bought this app to use with the band and it is terrible. Paid £10 for an app that crashes every time i use it. Can't even build a list let along use it live. Rather just scroll my way through google docs like before. Can't find a positive for that price. Would be good to have an option to create everything online via the website first then sync with device so all data is readily available as i entered a text file with fields as indicated, the lyrics came up as part of a set list. Each line was a new song. Maybe it is operator error but i'm going back to simple old text files.

If this app cost 2 bucks, I wouldn't mind if it crashed a lot. But I've been entering in music for about 30 minutes and it has crashed three times. I can't imagine what that would look like on stage. Getting used to the interface is one thing (it is a fairly steep learning curve moving around, knowing what windows will allow you to edit and why does the edit button not appear other times). But crashing is not excusable for a $12 app. If it was stable I would blame myself for not being able to use it better.

I first rejected this app as being far too complicated for what I wanted to do. I chose another app (Lyric Pad) that was much simpler and built my entire repertoire of lyrics, notes, and backing tracks. I found I could not adequately control the live playback of backing tracks however. Plus, the developer seems to not be maintaining and updating this app anymore. I got tired of work-arounds and decided to give Set List Maker a try. I did have to re-build my lyrics and notes, but the backing tracks could be re-used. I've found Set List Maker, while quite complicated to set up, is very versatile and amazingly customize-able. I am now able to control playback of my backing tracks, and the auto-scroll of lyrics is much more reliable than Lyric Pad.

Horrible nightmare , my popup typing screen only dissapears when I tap the color tab.help is aByzantine joke.. will try to reinstall ...next try.. still no + button , Da!n pop up screen is there even toggle full screen mode. Running jellybean through samsung galaxy 3 lite...will try , busy now ..thank u

I've been using this for a few months now for solo, duo and band gigs and it's been great! Everything is organized and easily accessible...

Soon as I understood the concept/workings of this app it became a real joy to use. My only concern was with regards to copy and pasting a word document with chords and words on it, I had to move chords into the right position above the words as these were not in the same place as in the original document. There is a way to do it by placing the chord in brackets when typing but when you viewed the song in your show list they appeared in the same line so I gave up on that and done it manually, having said that I still rate this app 5 stars. Excellent

Couldn't get the program to respond with my android based tablet. Pictures In tutorial don't match what I'm seeing and many off the icons are faded out

This works wonderful and Arlo himself has helped me within five minutes of a request for help. Awesome product!

It's way too complicated. And sometimes it just doesn't work. I push a button and nothing happens

I seem to have a release that is not supported by an android tutorial. Spent a frustrating hour trying to find some instructions that show the same screen that came with the app. Went back to the app store and bought set list helper which was very intuitive and no tutorial required.

I have a complex stage set up and have to juggle a lot of different activities on stage in real time. I just found this app and it will do everything I need to do simplifying my life considerably. Love it!

Still the best on stage app.

Would like to see a skin type interface instead of just Black or White. Also, how can I see what version I bought ?

Great idea but needs serious updating for android. Very buggy. Stops working and closes all the time. And just very laggy during usage. Please update and fix and definite 5 stars! !

IT WAS A LITTLE SLOW GETTING STARTED INITIALLY, BUT ONLY BECAUSE OF MY LEARNING CURVE. I CONSIDER MY SELF COMPUTER ILLITERATE. HOWEVER, ARLO AND HIS TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS WERE EAGER TO ASSIST AND PROMPTLY RESPONDED TO EACH QUESTION AND/OR CONCERN. I HAVE A HEARING DISABILITY AND HAVE TO RELY SIGNIFICANTLY UPON WHAT I SEE. THIS PROGRAM ALLOWED ME DISCARD MY LARGE THREE RING BINDER (WHICH CONTAINED ABOUT 400 SONGS), BETTER ORGANIZE MY SHOWS, SONGS AND HAS MADE ME A BETTER MUSICIAN. I CAN EDIT SONGS AND WILL NEVER HAVE TO PRINT ANOTHER ONE. THIS PROGRAM HAS RENEWED MY INTEREST IN PLAYING. THANKS TO SET LIST MAKER FOR MAKING THIS APPLICATION AVAILABLE. CARL

Android version not ready for prime-time, but iOS version is great. Just wish I could work out the impasse of linking between Note 4 and iPad. So far, no joy. Also, app freezes on Note 4 when enabling tempo. Have to restart app.
