Accurate Barometer Free for Android
Device is Samsung Galaxy Note 4. All sensors self-test good. Barometric indicator does not move from "FAIR". It's presently raining with a thunderstorm - FAIR with a horizontal trend arrow, same as. yesterday, which was sunny and blue-skyed. Worthless.
Not sure what it is thinking when it says fair and sunny outside when it is snowing up a storm out there and we are suppose to get a foot of snow today and tomorrow. I would say that it is NOT accurate at all
It's only accurate if you have GPS and Data turned on and it can find your location. If it really used the phones sensor, it wouldn't need GPS or data to show results.
A absolutly excellent app. I fish ALOT and use the app on a daily basis. Everyone knows that low pressure means a storm front is moving in so I can watch with this app the pressure constantly and monitor the weather accurately. One quick fact..... if the pressure is high the fish are closer to the surface if it is low then the fish are deeper.
I get migraines that come when the barometric pressure changes. I installed this app to follow the pattern..for three weeks it has sat on FAIR. we've had rain in those 3 weeks with other types of weather as well. I'm going out to buy a reader..why did i believe an app would work as good as the real thing..uninstalling!
When turning on app with all Internet turned off it gives weird readings. Once connected it gives latest update of the nearest weather station. Does not match on bored sensor when accessed directly.
I think it gets the altitude right but that's all. Pouring rain yesterday and it showed conditions fair with a high barometric pressure when we were in a low and the weather apps confirmed that. Don't waste your time with it.
Working okay. But it is a little bit off actual readings because the altitude is off and no way to adjust it. Oh well it goes up and down can figure it out.
App has flashing advertising which makes it unpleasant to have the app opened. Didn't bother to explore the app too much because the advertising banner was too intrusive.
Mmm the needle flickers. That's it. When it's raining, it says it's fair! The needle has stayed in the same place for 3 days.
Barometer needs to be able to set to sea level pressures. All this is is an altimeter that read air pressure in stead of converting to feet. What an mislabeled device.
Looks nice (like something you'd see on a yacht). That said, wholly inaccurate. We are currently in a tornado and flash flood watch (not the run of the mill kind either, the "all the television and radio stations switched to emergency mode, the city of Denver shut down businesses, you can hear the clouds starting to swirrel and need to move to the basement" kind). I checked this to see what the situation looks like and, even after refreshing multiple times it says the weather is sunny.
Uses location not the sensor on your device (probably why there's ads to get altimeter which is also location based and uses no senors). Looking at the actual barometer in my living room saying rain and then stepping outside my door to see it sprinkling I know that its not "Fair" outside like the app says. Just go with what's worked for 350 years and don't trust this app.
If I have gps enabled it is great. If gps is off always about an inch off and no way to adjust. I'm sure it's getting the information via the Internet when gps is on to give it location information.
Too bad, it was a nice idea.
Very fond of this app, as part my job I have to calibrate the inbuilt barometer on equipment at sites all over the place and this gives me a perfectly sufficiently accurate reference. The easy choice of display units is very handy. It just works.
It's raining outside, baromiter reads Fair! Great app! Regardless of senser values set to...
Pouring rain, stormy, stinking hot, no matter what the weather is actually doing this app tells me it's fine and sunny, don't waste your time loading this app. It's never been correct.
I am currently experiencing a storm but my reading shows fair weather. Am confused
I have tried lots of similar apps and by far this is the best one, but there are some few things to become 'SUPER'!!..... 1 - It needs to have a calibration setting or the program needs to be calibrated to +2mb, because the reading is always 2mb under reading. 2 - It would be perfect to have a graph of past data (history)....that is, everytime a user checks the pressure it will record the data and plot the graph. If those 2 are fixed/added, the developer and the app will definately deserve a 5 star!! ;)
Too many good apps out there to have a barometer say the weather is fair while it has been raining for 2 days straight with 2 more on the way
Good thing is that app is light and works fine. I don't support ads as they eat battery and data. So only 4 stars.
Pressure reading seems accurate, but why allow changing pressure to inHg but not allow altitude in feet? Uninstalled.
Using on galaxy s7, off by 2hpa with no option for calibration. If you're looking for a good barometer, i suggest using the free app "barometer". (Barometer only works if your phone has an atmospheric pressure sensor, which s7, and a few other phones have)
This app is simple and accurate. It does exactly as it says it does and does it well! If you get headaches, check the barometer, it might be air pressure! (It only takes a minute change)
Would be a good program if you had the option to to get rid of the advertisements that flashes at the bottom of the app
A very neat and well functioning aneroid barometer. Got the readings tested against a properly tested ship's barometer and found it to be rather accurate. As a retired Master Mariner, I am happy to carry my barometer with me. Capt. H. Khan
Seems good. . Waiting to see the trend. . OK . All not so good now . . All goes well for the first hour or so . It shows the name of the village I live in Spain and the height of 566 metres, and the barometric pressure at sea level - Perfect. Then after an hour or so the display changes and shows the much lower pressure of where I am living and the location changes to showing the Lat. Lon. Nothing I do can change this (that I know of) but after uninstall and reload all OK again for a while . . Then the same things happen. . I have screen shots . . Any ideas . .
I got this because I get migraines and wanted to follow the changes. When I got this one I also got two others to compare, this one failed miserably while the other two stay consistent. It needs a new name other than "Accurate"
Only trouble I found was dial was to small to read as I don't have perfect eye sight. Needs option to increase size. Other than that. Works perfectly
Nice app but would like to see hourly readings for the day and night to see how the pressure is changing throughout the day
Yes I have tried lots of similar apps and by far this is the best one, but there are some few things to become 'SUPER'!!..... 1 - It needs to have a calibration setting or the program needs to be calibrated to +2mb, because the reading is always 2mb under reading. 2 - It would be perfect to have a graph of past data (history)....that is, everytime a user checks the pressure it will record the data and plot the graph. If those 2 are fixed/added, the developer and the app will definately deserve a 5 star!! ;)
Simple and elegant implementation. Won't obtain altitude in GPS mode when no Internet. Why not? This means that mean sea level (msl) adjusted pressure is not calculated. Only shows actual air pressure which is not that useful. Would also need temp input without internet to give accurate msl pressure.
I have chronic pain! Some days are good, others are horrible. I started noticing more aches during the summer then i had before so after talking with my pain specialist I now check the barometric pressure to see if the weather is causing me more discomfort or if I need another checkup! So far it's been a Very useful app & right on.
I got this app because I have a lot of headaches. It's interesting how the atmosphere plays a part of the more intense days. Pretty cool app. Basic, easy to understand.
I would prefer to have actual readings like I had on my Casio Pathfinder watch that showed a difference between my residence and my work location, which are about 30 miles apart (29.6 at residence, 30.1 at work)
Where I live I like knowing what is happening with the weather. So far this app has been spot on, I cross check it with my own weather station in my home.
Adverts cover the bottom of the screen so can't use any of the options like seeing trends which is what i want
I'm running 3 of these side by side and this is the only one that got my elivation correct, the others are at least 150 feet short which makes a big difference in the reading. I'm using it to track headaches so accuracy is important. I just don't like no option to change meters to feet.

This is really rather good. I wanted a baro measuring device to survey elevations. Accuracy to 0.1 Hpa was all I needed and it worked well. In such use it has one flaw. You cannot opt to have surface pressure (QFE) or sea level pressure (QNH) So if it loses yr GPS location it suddenly has to revert to QFE. If you are in the middle of a series of readings this means a load of manual corrections. Can this be fixed? It's a great app.
