Accurate Altimeter PRO for Android
Great app but is not retrieving pressure reading from local airport. It correctly identifies my location but no data. Accurate Barometer seems to work fine
Simple, clean interface. Worth the nominal fee.
Would've been 5 stars if barometer was in inches of mercury...very nice app
Nice features, including self-calibration. Seems pretty accurate.
Does what it is supposed to do. No rubbish.
Pretty cool.
Easy to read and accurate
Surprisingly accurate and stable. More than acceptable. Visually though this app is not so good. A nice bold and clean digital readout of altitude would be fine. The dated looking dial on a wooden panel is, in my opinion, ugly and relegates what you actually want, the altitude in clearly readable figures to second place.
This app is fairly simple, but it needs a small section for help files, or something to clearly define it how its functions work; anything would be nice.
Seems to be just right and simple to use. Seems to be some question about which method to use.
..very nice app..
I've had the paid version for months now and I love it everyday. The method of calibrating the altimeter to local elevations keeps it very accurate. This app is a "keeper" as we say. A real prize for the price. I hope sometime soon you can sell an iOS version. I would buy in a second.
Having the three different methods readily available is the only way to go! I will continue to test it, but I have tested it against what's on the USGS topography map for my area, and the location-based method is spot on (Using this method it's necessary to add for the height of the device above the ground.) After using that elevation to calibrate, I checked the sensitivity of the pressure sensor method on my Nexus 5x and found it to be sensitive to about 1 or two feet of vertical movement. Pretty cool!
Quite sensitive to variations. Would like a little more info/instructions on using the app. A choice of themes or at least colors would help and personalize the app.
This app is EXCELLENT! Wherever I go, now I know how high is the place I'm in.
Works great and fun to know my altitude. I'd love to know height over time.
Not too bad with my s5. Works well
Seems accurate to local airport elevation
Altimeter
Very useful app
Very useful
Comes in real handy here in the Rockies!!
Worth the price!
Easy and accurate.
Like the fact it uses pressure plus Internet and gps locations to work out your altitude and also has analogue and digital readouts. If the centre dial was easier to read it would be 5 stars for me (can't see it in bright light).
Seems accurate so far and I really like the way the altitudes derived from multiple sources are displayed on the same screen for comparison. I'll likely go 5 stars if I'm this happy after trying it in the field.
Seems to work well. Tested it tonight and it was bang on with other maps with altitude at a friend's house. It was bang on then we checked my house and it was bang on again. I will be keeping this app for sure.
Hard to tell if it's lying or joking with measurements.
Good to use and quite accurate as well. Very useful.
Seems to be just right and simple to use.
Would rate it higher if this app had a tutorial and other guidelines
Very good if gps accurate
Excellent, so far.
What more can i say ..it works thankyou
Fantastic on way from Darwin to Sydney
I appreciate the recent technical improvements; very good. Grateful if a more appealing dial can be shown. This one is rather dull and uninteresting don't you think! It detracts from the technical value of this app. I suggest including a graphical record of recent changes for the barometric altitude.
Surprisingly accurate and stable. More than acceptable. Visually though this app is horrendous. A nice bold and clean digital readout of altitude would be fine. The dated looking dial on a wooden panel is ugly and relegates what you want, the altitude in figures, to a tiny secondary reading.
I can no longer use the network or GPS options. This makes the pressure option impossible to truly calibrate. I would give 5 stars if it was still working the way it used to
It tends to give conflicting readings... satellite v's location towers v's barometric readings! Which reading is the true one? Even at sea level at an Cairns airport!

May you add barometric reading using phone barometer?
