Dict Aide

Can you help Livio get their dict install to offer option to place off-line content on Ext SD Card on at least one recent Android version, or barring that, help them get ready for Nougat and later? You seem to have the talents required! thanks

Default group is always ALL please give option to choose any group.

As an avid reader, one of my most used apps, along with Text Aide. Would love to see a fuzzy search option implemented. When I select a word like "searching", no results turn up and i have to type in "search" to see the definitions. This works in a similar way to PC's Golden Dict. It has something called language morphology that helps with searching words modified from the root in some way. Hope this helps.

5 stars for support as dev is actively working on improving it. Just need some features and bug fixes as pointed out by other reviewers.

There doesn't seem to be an option to delete/remove a dictionary from the app. Also, the disabled dictionaries still show up in Text Aide.

The app is nice, but I can't add multiple dictionaries and dictionaries are not properly formatted, I'll be waiting for the next update...

Doesn't work

can you provide a link for the dictionary you use on screenshot? Can't find it. I downloaded some dictionary, they are not organized and color text are not being recognize.

I don't knw how its useful , I downloaded The dic the app suggested but it doesn't work properly , pls gv the link to the file I need to download so it work perfectly in offline..

Bugs but I'll wait for a fix.

This app is currently buggy, but shows promise. After adding a number of dictionaries and dictionary groups, I found I couldn't select any other group than All as the default. That's unfortunate. Also, long-pressing a dictionary to deactivate it, I found that this dictionary was still used when calling upon Text Aide to define a word. Finally, there seems to be no way to remove a dictionary once it has been added. If these problems are fixed, Dict Aide's usability will increase considerably.

(1.) It's work only with folder contain *.dict.dz, *.idx, and *. ifo. But fail when I add *.dict, *.idx and *.ifo. Fail means = it show on search but when I clicked theres no preview and only index the half of whole dictionary. Only letter A until G. (2.) Please fix Hu Zheng's Stardict link on the "About" menu. Respect him. Thank You. I like it.

I like this particular app way too much. But recently when I'm adding the dictionary files they aren't getting added. Some of them it is showing in dictionary section others are not. And I can't find a better dictionary file. Need some help here. Can I contact the developer?

First of all developer is so damn fast in responding to queries or to clear doubts. Along with text aid, I can use this app anywhere and anytime. Adding dictionaries is also very easy. Good work. Can u make support for donation?

In conjuction with Text Aide, opens the door to a new unmatched experience not felt with similar apps. Would be better still, if one could see the meanings by quickly jumping to different words in the initial list. (same style as dict.cc)

Dictionary must have history option please. Please update the application. Developers really care about this application and it's users. Thanks for quick replies.

I rated text aide 1 star because it started showing scripts instead of rich text and when you corrected it then again i rated it 5 stars. Text aide doesn't works without dict aide. It's getting stopped working everytime. I don't know your email. All I want is a link to an english dictionary pack. Did you know?

Like the better UI, but it's less functional than colordict. I use stardict dictionaries, sub entries is invalid.

This app is by far tha best one in its category, though i do have one suggestion, it will be a huge plus if you make it compatible with ebook readers like moon+reader and aldiko, i don't know if its possible for you or the reader app developers need to look at it and make it compatible with their app/apps but it will be a very nice improvement.

Formatting is wrong on several dictionaries. Dictionaries on SD card don't work. Importing & deleting both take a very very long time. No bulk add or bulk delete.

Brilliant app

Please provide some links to download StarDict dictionaries.. It is not easy anymore to find them online after the project got scrapped.
