Human Anatomy Atlas for Android
Very good app.. superficial description about muscles and bones but i purchased mainly for the nerve and the blood supply as well as the muscle attachments... also need to say priced a little bit higher.....
Stopped working after update. Would like a refund as I had to buy 2017 version to keep relevant information available for clients
I would have rated this a 5, however after a recent update, I now find it harder to pin-point [immediately] exactly what I'm looking for. As a therapist, I'm constantly referring to this app to answer my own questions as well as assisting my clients with information. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking anatomy information.
There is no direct exit option. After touching any organ it becomes blue so as it becomes difficult to differentiate between that blue colored organ and veins which are already in blue color. My suggestion is after touching any organ the color should become green.
I use this all of the time to show my athletes what parts of the body are acting up and give them a better understanding of the anatomy they are working with
I bought this to study anatomy in university. It is very helpful and had almost as much information as an anatomy textbook! There is an issue with the ulna styloid process (in-app purchase) where it has 2 coronoid processes instead. Also it is missing the posterior interosseous artery. Still, amazing and surprisingly high resolution!
The application is good. It still needs improvement. I'm probably going to end up buying all the expansions of the body. I understand the creator worked hard to make this application also took his time so I'm not upset about the expansion packages you need to buy in order to experience the full Atlas. My problem is when it comes to the tools you can't erase the spots you have drawn on. [If their is a way to do that I haven't found it] it needs more drawing creativity. I give it a 4 star.
I find it very helpful. At one point I had too many sources and that did not help. I narrowed it down to this app plus two text books, and this is working great. The only drawback is you can't get to the specifics of, say, the scapula. So that's where the text books come in.
So I have to pay *again* to get a more robust 2017 version? 1 Star for lousy treatment of longtime customers who allready has made lots of in-app purchases.
Tends to lag on android. I have it on a galaxy s7 and a galaxy tablet and it doesn't work well on either. Hard to zoom and maneuver. Hard to select things. Drop boxes always get in the way. The extra apps are not worth the money either. But the only other decent option is 3d4medicals app which works much better but doesnt have options for male and female anatomy which is totally unacceptable for anyone in the medical field.
Love it, very helpful but the quizzes for the upper limbs is just another quiz for the hands. For the price I would expect the quiz to be what it says. Only used the Skelton portion of it. I also bought the detailed portion of the app. That is awesome!!
Great app, however just recently an update has led to an undesirable effect. When a region is selected, the color turns black, it used to show Blue which was much easier to the decipher from the objects around it. Selected black object are especially difficult to see when it has to veins and nerves as they are brown to begin with.
Sometimes contradicts itselfs. The muscle and bone details are awesome, but for neuroanatomy for example, it leaves much to be desired. You should make a paid add-on for nervous system, I'd buy it.
This app is truly amazing. I don't usually take the time to rate apps, but I feel this one was wortht. This app was a life saver to me throughout my anatomy classes. Definitely worth the money.
I purchased the visible body atlas and brought. Almost all the videos now you got a 2014 version. I believe everyone that paid for visible body should get that upgrade for free.
It's broken for me. When I open the app there is a white rectangle on the top screen and the app never loads. But besides this issue the app is amazing. Wonderful 3d viewing. And great for learning.
This program is spectacular. I’ve had several versions of it over the past few years. The 2017 version is the best yet. I have it on my Android phone and my Windows desktop computer (separate versions). I got it for my 16-year-old daughter’s Mac and my 5 and 7-year-old grandchildren’s iPad. They each get a lot out of it even though it is college level stuff. You can see all parts of the body, how they fit together and, their names (which I didn’t pay much attention to at the start). With the 2017 version you see all the muscle attachments and corresponding spots on the bones, and animations of muscle movements. Whenever I have a sore part of my body, I look at Human Anatomy Atlas to see which muscles, bones, cartilage, etc. are involved, what nerves are there and blood vessels. This program is a real bargain. It might seem a lot to people used to getting free apps but when you get it you’ll be glad you did. These people do a great job of presenting this material and the cost is cheap.
Investigate what might be hurting. Visualize your aging friends' aches & pains in full color. On Galax7 3D visualization is excellent.
It's a beautiful and customizable app. Good info and ability to add and subtract layers is very helpful. Being able to save a section of the anatomy that I customized to create a teaching image is excellent. I would suggest in the future to be able to articulate the skeleton so even more angles of the body can be observed with the different systems.
Fantastic app overall. Would love to see an add on module for pressure points and meridians. Navigation is A little clumsy at times, such as re-enabling hidden parts.
It's a good app but i'm using on my phone and it is incredibly fiddly due to the smaller screen, therefore I don't tend to use it. I just tried installing on my laptop but found that I can't. Frustrating.
A glitch in software makes Samsung Note 3 to shut off cell phone. Hopefully will get taken care off soon.
Worth price for the app. Great features and graphics, Immune system needs work, some lymph nodes dont have channels and some nodes arent shown like lower back nodes around spine. Reduce prices on Video add ons, not worth that price
Have had for 2-3 years. Use it often. There is no better anatomy app out there.
I'm referring back to this app more than anything I reference. Quick easy view of what I need to remember.
Impossible to launch the app since I have a Samsung S7 edge with Marshmallow installed. I don't know where comes from the problem. Thank you to help me.
Not perfect but so far the best I could find for my note 4
I have been following Visible Body for years, even back when online memberships were free, and though I only use the models for anatomy study for drawing, the detail and 3d access is an incredible tool. Thank goodness artists don't have to dissect cadavers anymore to study anatomy.
I tried to find a nerve and neither me, my wife or a dr. friend of mine did not know how to find. By the way I am an IT
By far the best anatomy app on android . Needs some improvement in bone details (tubercles, fossas , etc) . It will be great to have a cross platform licence. It's a bit unfair to purchase it again for my windows pc .
Not perfect but so far the best I could find for my note 4
Things I could recommend: Have a suggested views page where you have preset views for some things. Like abdominal cavity, where some things are faded away already. Maybe create an online environment where people could contribute presets views. Paying for extra content is kind of of harsh, especially for specific bone landmarks. Maybe include some schematic diagrams for nerves and vessels and lymph to aid in learning branching patterns. Include inter-organ ligaments as well.
I love this app. Such an awesome tool. One thing I do wish, unless I'm doing something wrong is for it to read out loud the descriptions. But I love it. I guess the only way you won't like this is if you're some stick in the butt Dr. That doesn't want patients to know too much to try to diagnose their own issues. But it's worth the money.
3 years ago I bough Anatomy & Physiology visible body version 1.4.00. I was looking for that version for my mobile. I wonder if it was necessary to buy this one today.
Would have given 5 stars but support never responded to my question as to the availability of a trial version. Would be nice if the "Full Screen" button at the lower right corner wouldn't show up on screen captures. Please replace the "Rate Us" button with the another button once a review has been posted. No need for it after the rating has been given is there? Please fix the menu buttons so they are not transparent. Selecting or rotating things on the pallette beneath the button is not desirable.
This would seem to be the best human anatomy app on the market right now, and is quite incredible. It can be a bit cumbersome to navigate, both the search menus and the image positioning, but I think they've done an incredible job considering the complexity of the task. Would also like to see a bit more visual detail added over time, but I also know they are constantly tweaking and updating. Keep up the good work
09/18/2015 Review: The latest version no longer works on my Samsung Galaxy SIII running Android OS 4.3. It gets to the init screen then exits back to launcher after about 10 seconds. Clearing cache and data did not help. I also tried an uninstall and reinstall to no avail. Please fix. 10/05/2015 Update: 2 weeks later, still no fix!
Maybe I'm just a dummy but I can not do anything of what the pictures show... this is so hard to work with I have no time to figure this out.. I bought it as a study tool but it's not helping at all... my focus is in my class and this is just for people that have lots of time to figure out or more money to spend... I don't I wish to get my money back it was way too expensive for what it "gives"
I give it 10 stars!!! The most awesome, powerful, intelligent, breathtaking app I have ever seen. I wish we had this program when I was in medical school. As an orthopedic surgeon I can use this app to simulate performing a difficult surgery. The bony anatomy is exquisite. It is amazing what computers can do. Loren Nichols, M.D.
