I loved it until a few days ago. Now I have tried to use it for my last two rounds and it crashes at the outset. Will not read stroke one. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the same problem. Generation 1 was good with a lot of potential, 360 has been horrible for the last two days. Please Fix!!

I like the concept and the ability to track my game, however a few suggestions : -there should be a way for the app to check if all the sensors are working before starting a round. Last round I played one of the sensors wasn't working and I didn't realize until later. - it should show the average distance that I hit with the club in hand and how much I actually hit that particular shot to see if I was short or better than my average on the map. Customer service is 5 stars. Very good and fast communication. The app needs help but I'm patient for greater potential.

Crashes every few holes when editing after a round. Misses shots and doesn't always auto advance holes. iOS version is much better. Please fix!!

F70%
by F####:

Great when it works... But will miss entire holes or add shots to previous holes. I so want this to be great, at the moment the earlier Arccos was better imo

Y70%
by Y####:

Good concept and sensors work well with my S8. But I wish it gave you a club suggestion for each shot based on previous average distances.

E70%
by E####:

Used it once, Just played my normal round and golf. Didn't fixate on it shot by shot or hole by hole . It only missed my tee shot on 1 n 10 must be reset option. Outside that was a complete dream. I love it. Have s8 edge fyi

Y70%
by Y####:

Update: I gave the app another shot but ots been a complete disappointment. The app wouldnt even turn on. I download and installed it over 5x. Maybe GameGolf will work for an Android user. Didnt work at all. I was manually entering shots and gave up after 3 holes. My buddy has it for his iphone and it worked great. It's a shame the programmers cant get the android version right.

T70%
by T####:

Tech is great, app needs a great deal of optimization - I am editing this as of 4/21 - after the most recent update, the app was unusable on my S7 as it was crashing every time. I just received the S8 and installed it on my phone and it works m8ch better. I got through 36 holes using it without needing to charge my phone.

Y70%
by Y####:

Have had recurring issues with the original version, like dropping the location, battery not lasting the round and stats not posting after a round. On the battery issue, even with shutting other apps off and rarely looking at the phone, it still has only lasted a few rounds. After the update, it lost all my rounds back to mid-February, which is really disappointing. Also lost my log-in information. Haven't been on the course with it yet. High price for such marginal performance from the app. The sensor system generally has worked quite well. I am hopeful they can get this working before I lose patient with it and seek to return it.

Y70%
by Y####:

Unfulfilled potential pretty much sums it up. The building blocks for a fantastic product are there but it is being poorly executed right now by an android team which isn't on par with their ios counterparts. Inability to edit shots properly, inability to select shots for smart distance, inaccurate stats, continually having to edit shots during a round - all add up to a poor user experience right now. Arccos need to treat us early adopters a bit better than this if they expect us to be recommending it to the rest of the golfers. Edit 24/04 - the app has actually gone backwards since the update. Multiple crashes even after reinstalls and now EVERY drive is showing as rough even though it is in the middle of the fairway. Shame on you Arccos.... Fix it now!

H70%

Would love to see distances to Target areas in the app making it a full one stop app. Currently you only have tracking and need a different device to find distances to Target.

The desktop application will not go past the login name and password. It says "Required Fields are Missing". They are not. It simply won't work.

Great concept but needs work

The versions that worked were very good. The analytics it produces are excellent. But as an android user the app is frustrating. I've experienced way too many issues especially for the $199 price tag. The current release version crashes often particularly when manually editing shots. The company really needs to focus on getting the android version stable. Very frustrated with the product right now.

Q70%
by Q####:

Constantly crashes, very labor intensive. Have to check the app after every shot to make sure it recorded. Have to make sure the app advances to the next hole as well. I would not recommend to anyone. Total wazte of money!!!!

Y70%
by Y####:

Cannot use since newest update, crashes constantly. Been great the past few months I've had it, besides the known battery eating, but still a great app before the update. Will update review when it's fixed.

Y70%
by Y####:

Just does not work on Android. Paying top dollar for this system means it should work seamlessly. There are always problems with the app. Customer service is fantastic but as a consumer i should not know how good it is, i should only know how good the product is.

C70%
by C####:

When it works, is awesome. The latest version crashed over 15 times on the course today making it unusable.

Y70%

Constantly crashes, have had issues with GPS locating the hole. Tech support recommended reinstalling, still have issues. When it works, it's super cool.

E70%

When I use this app during a round, my playing partners groan because they know I will be futzing with the phone editing holes. The app doesn't auto advance from one hole to the next based on your position. It should. It instead asks you if you want to play the next hole, which would be acceptable but then it asks if you want to carry over shots from the previous hole, yes or no. I can't think of a situation where that would be useful. But God forbid if you accidentally say yes. You just lost the previous hole and have to delete all the shots from the current hole. I don't have too many complete rounds in the app. I bought this over other apps because it seemed less intrusive to my actually playing golf. It hasn't really worked out that way. I was hoping for something that didn't become a distraction. So far this has. A few tweaks could improve that. *** Update*** After the last version update, the app crashed on the 12th hole and could never recover. Another incomplete round. Sigh.... lots of work to be done to make this useful.

Y70%
by Y####:

Still drains the battery to fast, even after the recent update. Used 50% through 9 holes.

Y70%

It needs android wear support!

Y70%

After I installed the latest 360 Android version, my Arccos is totally unusable. The shots often register off the course. Frustrating. Should not be releasing a product that is not market ready. Unacceptable for a $320+ product. Fix it immediately or make the older version available to the public.

A70%
by A####:

After changing my S7's settings to use GPS only for location. I can get through 18 holes on 20-30% of my battery, couldn't get through a round before. Works great now!

Y70%
by Y####:

Love the sensors but the Android app is extremely rough. Locks up my phone, goes through all 3200 mAh on about 15 holes at 100% charge. I have to keep my phone and external battery in my pocket to get through 18 holes. From what I have read, the iOS app takes about 20% battery. Android app needs massive improvement.

Y70%
by Y####:

I like it but the app doesn't work at all. It will get stuck on a hole and won't let me change hole. An example is that I'll do a hole and my arccos system will work, but when I go to the next hole and it, it will say that I'm hitting my driver on the last hole and have manually delete that hit and manually put in my hits for the rest of the round making my arccos system virtually useless

Update 4/22/17: I contacted the Arccos team and they really stepped up to help solve my issues! Long story short it appears the sensors I had were somewhat faulty. Arccos exchanged them and 2 rounds later I've only had to edit a couple of shots. Original review below to show how much of an improvement was made. Thanks again Arccos!!!! Original review from March 2017: Arccos needs to focus on the details to make their app fully functional, it's a beta level app at best right now. The largest areas for improvement: 1. Battery life is poor on my Nexus 5x running Nougat. The largest contributor to this issue is the amount of hole edits required during a round (screen on = battery hog). I can deal with pure battery life issues with my portable battery pack. It's the need to constantly adjust holes that is unacceptable. 2. On to those issues that keep you the phone in your hand during a round. You will need to verify each hole as the app is prone to missing shots. My buddy uses the iPhone version of the app and it reported 12 shots under his actual score today. He has a good half hour or so of post round editing ahead of him. Mine would have been similar if I hadn't been verifying each hole as we played. 3. Adjusting most shots is easy, however shots around the green are a nightmare to edit. The app won't let you zoom in close enough to accurately place shots within 50yds of the hole. When you do finally zoom in and place a shot the damn app zooms out to full hole view after EVERY shot adjustment. For example, the app is prone to missing chip shots. You'll go into edit and add the shot and find it VERY difficult to place the chip at 10yds. First it will drop the shot at 25yds, then zoom completely out....So you 2 finger zoom multiple times to get back to green view so that the chip can be adjusted to 10yds. If you're really lucky it will drop where you want, if not it's time to do the zoom out, zoom in dance over and over again. I understand that zooming in on grainy green images is difficult, so why not add a simple table view for adjusting shot yardages?? 4. Accept that one or more sensor batteries will die during every few rounds or so. No big deal to replace, but using sensor diagnostics while a round is "in play" isn't possible. You have to "complete" the round and then run diagnostics to see if a battery is really dead vs. the issue being simply another missed shot. App tells you that you can "resume" round but this isn't straightforward. Instead of auto resuming when you click the round the app places a tiny text link above the round that says "click this tiny friggin sentence to resume". Oh and once you finally resume all bets are off if the app syncs back up. It took 3 holes to realize the first hole after resume was a lost cause... Apparently I had a 10 million yard drive and putts on the green were showing in the middle of the fairway. Took over 15min after the round to resolve. 5. Editing rounds is possible via the app only, which is cumbersome and time consuming. Editing via PC is a much needed addition!!! Use a mouse and 20"+ screen for green edits vs. a small screen and fat fingers!!! 6. Stats for a round are bogus. For some reason the app can't list the number of pars, bogeys, double bogeys correctly...Even though the score card shows these correctly! I'm all for showing off scores, but mistaking double bogeys for EAGLES is a bit much. Can the app developers do math? Or instantiate a simple arithmetic formula to do the heavy add/subtract work for them?! Again, focus on the details Arccos. You're 70℅ of the way there, get the next 20℅ or so and you'll have a really good product on your hands. I'll even offer my services to beta test if you'll commit to providing fixes to the issues I uncover. Until then I must recommend that customers avoid this mess.

The Arccos 360 sensors are great. I love the tech. However, that being said, I think the app itself has plenty of room for improvement. Like many other users here, the app destroys my battery. I started my round with my Pixel fully charged and was only able to get through ~12 holes before my battery was completely drained. I also think that the app could benefit from UI improvements. This includes aesthetics and perhaps borrowing some of the better features from Game Golf--i.e. different game modes and social. In summary, I think the tech is there, far better than the competitors, but the app and ecosystem have some room to grow. That being said, I am optimistic that these improvements will come with time.

It's frustrating because I want to love this but the app is killing the battery on my s7. Like the other reviews I get about 12 holes before it dies. When it's working i love it but I want to be able to turn on the app and forget about my phone in my pocket and it not be dead by the end of my round. This is not the case for me and i really hope they can fix this issue soon so I can use it the way it was I was sold on it.

Can't begin to say how disappointed I am in this app. I got it as a gift to years ago when Arccos was just starting out. I think the concept is great but ever since I switched to a Google Pixel phone from an iPhone I've had nothing but problems with it. To their credit, the Arccos tech support team has been very responsive but they haven't been able to fix the flaws in the system, which include: 1) too many courses are out of date - par 3's show up as par 4's 2) way too often the app just doesn't record my strokes on various and random holes (it's not a battery issue) 3) the biggest issue: when I try to download a course the app crashes. That happened at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage yesterday, and it also happens at a course I play frequently in Chicago. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times, but the problems remain. It would be hard to recommend this product with critical and unresolved issues going on for two years now...

I like the tracking but I got the new cobra f 7 with cobra connect powered by arccos can not pair this driver with golf app very disappointing app will not track drive and can not edit because no driver paired work well with other clubs

Y70%
by Y####:

Problem #1 it kills your battery! It used 80% of my battery in 9 holes. No way you can play 18 with it. Problem #2 the putter sensor won't fit my grip so I thought I could just add my putts... nope you have to pair a putter in order to add or subtract putts. #3 and most important... it crashes all the time and I can't even use most of the features without it crashing.

The power of the shot tracking is great, and when logging into the website to view stats, this is a great product. However, there are a few issues on the app itself. It errors and closes A LOT. If you go into the clubs, rounds, or statistics section, it often errors and closes. However, if you stay in the shot recording mode for the round, it works very well in capturing how far and where your shots are hit. One exception, is I often have to adjust the number of putts if putting from the fringe of the green - as it counts that as a putt. Onto the application of the product. It installs easily - 5 stars. However, the big kicker is that you have to keep your phone in your pocket. I ordered a newer/smaller phone just for this which has Marshmallow (Lollipop and up are required for the app to work). However, upon trying to start a round, the app tells me that I need a gyroscope. I'm going to try this new phone anyway, but if it truly does require a gyroscope to identify when shots are hit, buyer beware if you are looking for a phone to purchase just for this use. All and all, this is a good system, but bugs still need to be worked out.

Frustrated after a year that the android app still doesn't hold a candle to the apple version. When viewing scorecard I can't see how many putts I had, direction of tee shots etc. No detail unless I go online to look at my score card. Also when I go to view my existing clubs to review the battery the app force closes every time right now. I've tried to be patient but there is no love for android.

Very high crash rate. Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times now with no improvement. Takes up a lot of battery. For longer rounds will completely kill battery well prior to end of round. Despite marketing still have to edit rounds quite a bit.

Had to reinstall the app. It has crashed mid-round a few times but did not lose the rounds.

This product and app is amazing. My $200 range finder collects dust. I'm no longer guessing which club to hit or shot to make on any course.... including courses I'm playing for the first time. Never worry about keeping score. Most importantly, figure out which part of your game you need to work on to improve your scores. Highly recommended.

Y70%

This does everything that I would want except one thing. That one thing would make it 5 plus stars. If you could touch the screen on an area and give you the yardage to that point, you would need nothing else to carry or use or buy and it would then be perfect. Thanks for what you have done. I just found out how to do that and have changed it to 5 stars.
