Insta360 Air - Simple, snappy 360 photos & video

Can't make it work on an OnePlus 3 phone. It just says "not connected" and there is no led light, nothing. I must mention I'm trying to use a microUSB camera with a USB-C phone by means of an adapter but same camera gave same behavior on a Samsung phone (micro-USB) so I think it's the camera. Need help otherwise I'll return it while I still have time ... Tx

I like my 360 camera but this app is so buggy. Half the time it won't upload my videos. When it works it's good but it only works 50% of the time! New update is just as bad, now typing video captions in is a complete fail!

Very slow, worked fine until a few weeks ago. Big lag and sometimes doesnt respond at all and i have to rrstart. Please fix this.

This app works on one device but not on my other one and I would like it to. However when I tried to email and ask about it I got jibberish back

Was good when I was using the Samsung S7. Does it support Samsung Note 8?

1. When it works, it works awesome, but only IN THE APP. 2. After updating the firmware to the latest, as per 21 jan 18, the camera doesn't refresh if I use the phone vertically, only can use it horizontally, usable, but imagine the watermark in the middle of your nose. 3. People are correct, no batch export of video and photos. Yes, somehow I am able to choose multiple files, but if I press the 'share' button, the app crashes. Note to developers, not everyone use it for Social Media, some just want to use it as it is.

At first it was ok. Then when I needed it most, it was lagging. Clicking the shutter it does not respond for several seconds and hangs.

On my S7Edge, the notification doesn't go away saying the app is exporting when 360 photo is exported to phone storage.

Many of the reviews of the app are old, and overly critical. You can turn off inversion. You can share to other apps and services, and there's the option to save the files to an alternative memory source. The image quality isn't great in low-light, but I assume this is because the camera "shutter" needs to fire quickly to capture and stitch the scene seamlessly. For a $115USD 360 camera and free app, the quality is pretty decent, especially for Periscope/Livestreaming and Instagram.

The pictures and video look perfect.. If you use the app. The moment you try to export to your drive or Facebook or YouTube the quality (specially video) declines horribly. And that's using the high quality feature... I don't want to be limited to their software, I'm afraid.

Very disappointed. Not even a single bug reported fixed. Too many products and apps to earn money, not well maintained. 2.please allow batch export of photos and videos. 3. The photo, when exported is having wrong time. 7 hours earlier then my +8 time which does not exist in this world. Still.. the timezone bug is not fixed. And batch photo export is still not available.

Don't know what problem is but the app opens upside down on my phone all the times. Essential ph1.

So far it's been excellent, a few times it has quit but opened up promptly on second try. Wish it had more options in the animation, like a view from Tiny planet to just the opposite view. (Ex. Like looking down to looking up)

It will be good if the app will only invert if the camera is attached. If I only wanted to view my album, it is a hassle to flip my phone over.

Generally very good app, but one star less because of three annoyances: 1. Exported photos have 05:30 hours added to their EXIF timestamp. I happen to be located in India in the UTC+0530 timezone, so this seems like a bug. 2. An ad in the splash screen. I didn't spend a lot of money on this product to be shown an ad for another product. 3. Random photos downloaded to my phone every time I open the app. Google Photos keeps asking if I'd like to backup those photos. Please stop downloading photos without consent.

This would be a great camera if the company actually allowed the user to "own" the pictures that are taken. If you want to share photos and videos taken with the camera, you are forced to upload your data onto their cloud, and only then can the person that you want to show your your pictures or videos to gain access to it. So who actually owns the data? If I had known that the company was going to do this I would not have bought it. You are also unable to trim or edit the video in any way to make the file smaller. I guess they had a program for that at one time but it is no longer available on Google Play. Converting the data so that it can be viewed using other programs is not possible. In trying to corner the market, the company has placed restrictions on the consumers' choices, and this is unacceptable.

After u exporting the photo to phone storage, the exported photo has an incorrect timestamp (different time zone).

Very disappointed as the camera just stopped working and the firmware will not update. So sad.

I'm having the same problem where the camera doesn't respond and takes about a minute to respond to commands, this happens lsonwith the latest version. Had to revert back to 1.x

Application crashed after 5 sec, phone reboot without any warning ...impossible to take a photo or record a video !

Requires an always connected Insta360 camera to function. WAY TO FIND A WAY TO CREATE DRM ON PHONES! YOU'RE THE EA OF PHONE SOFTWARE!

Connection to camera fails after latest 7.1.1 Android update. Can't use the camera any more. After about 10 seconds the connection is lost. Tried updating the firmware but doesn't get past 0%. Sent email to the company but haven't heard back. Please fix asap! Loved it when it was working.

The app is unresponsive. Use to work fine. Even after clearing cache and re-downloading app still doesn't work. There are no troubleshooting steps available that ressolve the issue. When it was working the camera and app were wonderful.

Stop resetting my video recording settings to 960P. I want 3k as default. Stop littering my phone with folders of your social shares. Add mass export or auto export. PSA: use their PC software to mass convert their proprietary files to regular JPGs and MP4s!

It doesnt work since last update. It doesnt update the firmware. I do exactly it says in the instruction with the the pin but it doesnt seem to process.... What should I do?

Had to downgrade because the latest updates since 1.6.2 removed the ability to auto export video to the phone's gallery, which is a really tedious and time-consuming step.

Firmware update stucked at 56% on Moto Z XT1560-03 Android 7.1.1. I updated firmware on my friend's Google Pixel instead but if you use the 360 device back on Moto Z, connection works but only a few seconds. It's time for me to replace this with Moto Mod 360 instead.
