HazMat Evac for Android
Good app but can't search Canadian addresses
I have purchased the app and i cant install as it always states an unknown error occurred and it can load. I have the other app from this company and its awesome.
Great for evacuating to a safe zone, at any time, temp, or wind direction for all product....
Tells me to purchase the app when I have already paid for it in Google Play!
Just like the ERG it is modeling it is great for the first 15 minutes. I have used it several times now on real scenes to get my general evac zone. I make sure to document that it is my initial response as it is so much faster and easier to use that Aloha/Cameo.

Apple ui and options seem way better.
Awsome its features allows me to start planning roadblocks and evac and safety zones must have for anyone in the emergency services
Can't ask for much more -- fast, simple, and powerful. The ability to email your results (picture and kml files) is great to disseminate to the rest of the responders. Anyone responding to HAZMAT spills should check this out.
Very good app. My only suggestion is to add a "railcar" selection to size of spill area. The size of evacs change immensely with rail incidents.
Used this on a large hazmat incident last week. Very helpful. Would like to see a link to the NIOSH guide.
I downloaded the app, tried to input info and nothing comes up, it has poor instructions, going to ask developer
Used it in an incident today.
Does not work properly
As far as I can tell, it uses the forecast wind direction from NOAA - at least for my local weather. These forecasts are available in three hour increment, so it models where the plume could be in three hours, not now. Manual entry works, in 22.5 degree increments (half-winds). Good until the weather station is up and someone is running a real ALOHA analyis (or whatever model you use). So, as always, do a reality check on the wind first.
A must-have program for all first responders. If you are using Aloha/Cameo now, you'll appreciate the usefulness, automation & speed of this app.
Very cool
