PsycEssentials for Android
I paid full price for this expensive app and it showed an error message every single time I clicked on a resource. Once I paid I could not use it AT ALL! The free version let me use some things but now that I paid it's absolutely worthless. I can't get a response to reporting this and I can't get a refund either.
I ordered this on the 22 of June. I must have been half asleep and trying to finish a paper because I do not recall doing so. I thought I still had the free preview version. The full version closes as soon as I click on a chapter and now I'm afraid they'll refuse to refund me after reading the other reviews. I'll update if I hear from them :(
Hasn't been updated in years
It doesn't work!
I don't think this is so great as an app when you can only use it on your phone or tablet and can't open it on your computer (at least I haven't been able to do so). It's an expensive one too given the hard copy is the same price and likely more functional as a spiral bound book. I don't know if it's google play's bad or APA but when I first got this it was confusing on what I was actually getting. I thought I would be able to get the hard copy as well as the app (especially at that price). When I contacted APA because that was what google play said to do for returns I was asking to give up the app and just get the book since it looked like I had bought the app instead of book. They said it was too late because their policy is 2 weeks I think, though google play's is a month which is what I was using. Bottom line it was confusing how it was presented with the free app trial etc. Disappointing.
I love the organization of resources, I won't refund but price does feel hefty for a lot of external links. Room for improvement around in house resources, but great start I feel good supporting.
This app is a micro-Google of psych resources, as it doesn't provide any substantial content, just external links to purchase the useful content, such as tests, interviews, etc. I can get that from Google for free.
A great tool to include in your library. A must have to all mental health professionals and students.

I bought the app three times and every time I tried to use it, it said "Psycessentials has stopped working." I had repeatedly bought the app and paid for it then had to Uninstaller it. I can't confirm if they actually refunded my money. I need this app. I am tired of consulting paper back books and consulting with counselors when what I need is in this app. Very frustrating.
