Violence against Native women is a serious issue.The Cahuilla Consortium recognizes that domestic violence and abuse, including physical, mental, verbal, and emotional abuse, as well as stalking and dating violence, are serious offenses against Native women, children, and families. The Cahuilla Consortium's objective is to promote the safety and well-being of their Native women.
This app provides emergency and non-emergency phone numbers to victims (or possible victims) of abuse via one-touch access. During a stressful incident victims, or possible victims, will not need to look up various numbers when they need help. They can simply choose to call emergency 911, call a non-emergency number in their area or a national domestic violence hotline, call their local DV advocate, or email their local advocate.
