About Illustrated for Reddit

Featured as Hot and Popular app on Samsung S Suggest app catalog and Amazon Appstore

Illustrated for Reddit brings you wallpapers, funny pictures, videos, memes, news and more from the world's most popular user content submission platform - Reddit.com. Every story has an accompanying photo that looks absolutely gorgeous on your phone or tablet. And with an option to download the image and set it as wallpaper from the app itself, you get unparalleled convenience.

While a reddit.com account is not required to access the tons of features the app offers, you will need an account to vote and comment on individual stories.

Illustrated for Reddit is the only Reddit app with True Card UI. So what exactly is True Card UI? While some other Reddit apps have the Card interface (similar to Google Plus app), only Illustrated for Reddit makes sure every card has an accompanying photo. Other apps display Photo Cards only if the post itself points to a photo (from Flickr, Imgur). Illustrated for Reddit takes any post, be it a news story from BBC or a status update on Facebook and converts it to a beautiful Photo Card, by identifying the most relevant photo from the post. We call it the True Card UI.

Illustrated for Reddit comes with a recommended set of topics that include pics, funny, videos, aww, cats, wallpaper, music, movies and more. You can remove any of these topics and add your own.

★ Clean user interface based on the latest Holo guidelines from Google

I just paid for the upgrade and the app STILL gives me an error: not found message EVERY time I try to post a comment. Also does not display most photos.

Q70%
by Q####:

A handy app that helps me get my reddit fix on the go. Somewhat buggy, but still good.

I created an account on reddit, but still cannot 'sign in' within the app. Please fix this issue. (Android 4.3)

Every time I try to open a picture or GIF out opens corrupted :(

Z70%
by Z####:

Since going to lollipop I'm getting "service unavailable" nearly everytime I open. Has been my go to app for a couple years but losing some faith here.

O70%
by O####:

Although it could be better if it had a dark theme, and having the pictures sometimes seems like not a very good thing.

Z70%
by Z####:

Definitely the best Reddit App for Android. Well worth paying for. NEEDS a widget of some sort. Will get 5 stars when it does.

M70%
by M####:

I love this app, 5 stars.

M70%
by M####:

Used to be the best, now has full screen pop up ads that hijack the phone. Found a less intrusive reddit app.

K70%
by K####:

A handy app that helps me get my reddit fix on the go. Somewhat buggy, but still good.

M70%
by M####:

Popups you can't get rid of

T70%
by T####:

Crashes, freezes, takes forever to load photos. Bring back the old programmers.....

T70%
by T####:

Great app that means i can just scroll through the pics whilst in bed. Would be perfect if there was an option to turn on a dark theme which had a black background so it isnt so tough on the eyes.

T70%
by T####:

This is the only reddit client that does what I want. It's fast, pretty, let's me swipe to hide read posts, and has a nice card ui.

T70%
by T####:

Its quick and simple

D70%
by D####:

It combined both features but it still needs improvement

T70%
by T####:

I can login to Reddit with other Android apps, but not this one. May be a problem with correct URL encoding / escaping for special characters.

T70%
by T####:

Laggy, crashed.

V70%
by V####:

Reddit but not quite reddit but good but different but still funny but sometimes sad but often uplifting but sobering but intoxicating yet seems to go on and on forever.

T70%
by T####:

I used to use Scope, but I gave this a try, because I like the freedom of more subreddits. I have a small complaint, though. I wish the thumbnails weren't stretched. I wish they were their original size like they are in Scope.

U70%
by U####:

Was great, but now it barely opens without crashing and bugs out halfway through the feed, until you have to close it and start over.

U70%
by U####:

I love this app, but I can't give It 5 stars until the issue is resolved. Every time I watch a YouTube video, then try to resume browsing on 'reddit I have to start from the very beginning(top) of the feed. It always says " unfortunately reddit has stopped working". Every time. There's issues with the HTC M8 AT&T ... Please Fix

Definitely the best Reddit App for Android. Well worth paying for. NEEDS a widget of some sort. Will get 5 stars when it does.

Q70%

Big previews and full titles. Plays gifs. I think its the best out of most popular apps

F70%
by F####:

Totally needs a dark theme and the pictures are distorted.

U70%
by U####:

Keeps crashing after going back from a YouTube link.

U70%
by U####:

The top menu and ad bar don't leave much screen real estate. Everything felt cramped. Images are almost always distorted and blurry. I like the interface and concept but I can't look past the flaws. If there is an update I'll give it another go. But there are other, better reddit apps.

This app was great in the beginning, but the still present bugs, issues, and lacking features make it a dud anymore. I wish the dev had continued to make updates to the app and its functionality, but thankfully there's other, more capable apps to choose from.

S70%
by S####:

This app needs at least one widget.

Y70%
by Y####:

This is easily the best way to browse reddit that i have seen. The ads are annoyinf, but for a free app they are to be expected. I honestly cant belive how this is not the top result when searching for reddit

H70%
by H####:

A little slower than other reddit apps, but I understand that the unique look and functionality may cause this. Definitely still worth it.
