X-Plane to GPS for Android
Works as described! Using with X-Plane 11 and Garmin Pilot on a Nexus 9 tablet.
I will test this app later with xplane 11 on my new system.
Man it's so easy, comparing to setting similar things up with FSX! The only thing though is that the app doesn't display Android's own IP address and I have to dig it out some other way. Otherwise, works perfectly!
The description is downright misleading. This only works for phones. You cannot put this on an Android tablet. I want a refund even if only for a dollar - no way am I staring at a comparatively tiny smartphone screen while I fly!!! Renders this app practically worthless.
It's great I can use it for any app that uses gps, it's easy on my battery with only a small amount of heat generated. I only warn you that you must only active it while you're aircraft is standing still or else it's make for a bumpy ride
The app keeps crashing
Great app
Works a treat, had to install fake gps app to get to settings in my tablet to allow fake gps but once done it works a treat, love this app when I'm doing vfr flights in my flight sim
Works great with Xp 10. I've used garmin pilot and avare and both work like their supposed to. Just need an update for version 11 please
Samsung Note 10.1 & Garmin Pilot - works well.
This is really cool app and works really well, BUT there is a one problem, it seems that google maps shows heading from gyro/compass not from the game.... So far I haven't been able to find a solution to disable the built in compass. Device: Nexus 7.
Glad to see there is EasyVFR option added, with version 3.9 it is really working like a charm. Perfect work, thanks.
Works perfect with x-plane 10 and the free Avare EFB on my android tablet. If you find you don't have sectionals, plates, etc make sure you download the databases in app and activate georeferencing.
Great work! It just works, no set-up, no lag, no useless feature. Thank you!
Good job! I just put off buying an Ipad. Well worth the buck and a quarter.
Have been using this app with naviator but it constantly locks up naviator. I am underwhelmed.
Had a few issues getting the location to show on google maps on android 4.4.4, but managed to fix it by: Settings, Location. 'Mode' needs to be set to 'Device only' as opposed to 'high accuracy or 'battery saving'. Other than that the app appears to do its job Oneplus One 4.4.4
Never had any issues on all 3 of my devices, always works
When I had a question, the response was very timely.
This is a great little app and is very easy to setup, especially under X-Plane 10. This app saved me hundreds of dollars by allowing me to use X-Plane (rather than actual flying) to try out several aviation apps for my Nexus 7.
A very simple app, but done what it says it does and is very good at it!
Of all the X-Plane mapping apps, this is the coolest. Ironically, also the cheapest. I've gotten at least 20 total flying hours using this app, and haven't had a single error, incorrect data, or crash once. Nothing wrong with it at all. Can't think of anything I would like to see improved. Don't know why people are having problems with it on the S3, it worked on my S3 using stock ROM and it is still working using a custom ROM. I use it with OruxMaps. A++ Would Fly Again
Fantastic app! Finally I can fly with Garmin Pilot + X-Plane to GPS before I climb into my real cockpit. This app is worth 50x the price he's asking. I had a minor support issue and the author replied within the hour. Can't beat that!
Did what it said it would. Was well worth the money.

minor scroll bug in help section of android app on 4.3" display. Thank you dev! Good luck to Austin his defence against unfair patent wars
Working nicely! Make sure you are connected to the network before you open the program or the IP address it gives you will be incorrect.
Installed on the Nexus 7 to practice with Garmin Pilot. Using X-Plane 9. It took under 10 minutes to have the systems linked thanks to the instructions in the app. Totally worth the dollar, in hind site, for the simplicity.
This app is to connect x plane to your phones gps. This app is not for the x-plane moblie version. Oh and i didnt get a refund option.
I have the same issue with step 2&3....no settings......????...
I followed the instructions, opened up x-plane, however I'm not seeing the settings options? (I believe steps 2 and 3)
Works really well. Extremely responsive developer. Smooth as silk and opens up a whole world of sim/efb fun!
Does exactly what it says on the tin - main use has been getting googlemaps to display position, enabling measurement/navigation without needing to interrupt the flight to go to local maps - incidentally seems to work with any other GPS driven aps - eg gps speedo's etc.. Using on an HTC desire - obviously you will get more out of this the bigger the screen of your device..
And I don't need to learn the navigation buttons for each plane. Love having Google maps to go along with xplane
Just tried this out and really liked it. I tied it to my garmin pilot app. At first it was laggy but a restart seemed to correct the issue.
The instructions on the video are outdated. Newer Android users need to tap "build number" several times under About Device to unlock Mock GPS. Once you are past that hurdle everything else is excellent and works exactly as it says. Super! Developer very fast to respond to questions via email too. 5 star experience.
Glad to see there is EasyVFR option added, with version 3.9 it is really working like a charm. Perfect work, thanks.
It seems that Google or Samsung is blocking the use of mock locations in both Google Maps, and Google Earth on my Galaxy S3, so they won't show the X-Plane data. At the suggestion of the author I tried using this app with Avare moving aviation map, and it works, but Avare is kinda buggy and awkward to use, IMO.

Works perfectly. Be advised this is not a moving map app, rather as it describes it sends a "fake" GPS signal to any map program you have on your phone or tablet that takes your phones GPS position. Instead this fake signal sends the aircraft position from x-plane to the map.....sweet! Thank you!
