Red Light

Great app and far easier than putting the phone into test mode, I'm a bee keeper and working with bees at night a red light is a must as bees can't see red. Whilst I don't always have a red light in my pocket I almost always have my phone :)

Great app. I use it in the photo dark room. Advise to switch on airplane mode to avoid interruption.

Exactly what it says on the box. For use in a darkroom, along with switching my phone to 'airplane' mode to disable ill-timed calls, etc. from flashing onscreen.

Just as it says in the tin. However, i would caution using this app as a dark room lamp as some people have said in comments below because an LED screen is not a 100% red light and any film could become polluted

Does exactly what it says. I was actually looking for a screen controller, that would drive my screen in a night vision friendly way. So a red screen based light, with adustable intensity ~ it works fine.

App description says "lights up the screen in red", but despite that the app doesn't make me coffee, doesn't change my tyre, and doesn't even tie my shoelaces. - Come ON you people, are these ratings serious?! App does EXACTLY as advertised. Stop giving bad ratings because you can't read the description! Google should stop this, it's ruining ratings. This app is great! I'd like to suggest slider auto hide and system brightness override. Thanks dev for a great app :-)

Dunno what Judge Mathis or Tobias Jundridge or whatever his fibbing cheat snake-in-the-grass name is is talking aboot, but this app made my coffee, changed the earl in my Honda Accord, wrote my doctoral thesis, and even managed to satisfy my wife sexually. Best app ever, would recommend, A+ *****

Works as described and simple. Great because I can read at night without needing a bulky red lens flashlight! Only suggestion would be to make the brightness adjuster/slider autohide to reduce chance of image burn in. Especially for those of us with AMOLED screens. Then the app would be perfect! Thanks for a great app!

Though no permissions, it does use the hidden Internet permission which MOST apps have enabled. There is also a small amount of network traffic going on there (just use Netguard). The other problem is it does not control your screen brightness. I have to adjust that myself after launching this app.

Thanks for sharing the app! I give you four star because I would like it to bypass the brightness setting of the phone. I mean, if my phone screen is set at 40%, the red light will be only 40%. I need to increase the brightness of my phone screen in order to have a full red screen.

Makes my screen red so I can light up my room just enough to see without waking the baby. Thank you

How can you give this any less than five stars, in a bathroom all black with the red light my pupils almost completely expanded

Simple, straight forward and doesn't need any special permissions. Great app

using this on my s7e. adjusting screen timeout while using, but I would like it more if the app kept the screen from dimming or turning off.

Thanks devs for a great app with no permissions, It is a great app, it has full screen coverage, would be a perfect app if the brightness control slider was not white, make the slider black, maroon, or a dark red would be perfect, 5 stars will be given if changes made, other than that great job devs.

Nothing else I can really say. Easy and useful also. Good for dark situations where you don't want to mess up your night vision, I recommend it.

just used this red light on my fone for last hour whilst my girl, our daughter and myself were perambulating up and down the cobbles and round the bendy lanes of Halifax. we all home safe :-)

I took this to an astronomy evening but couldn't use it to light the way. I don't think these apps work.

It was nothing i wanted to light it back of my phone like a lazer

Dang it I was expecting it to be like a flash light oh well I guess it's kinda cool anyway.

I've been looking for a red light. Works great and doesn't require any ridiculous permissions. Plus, it's advertisement free. Thanks for making a great app.
