內容簡介：

《南海觀音菩薩出身修行傳》，又名《觀音傳》。分兩大部分，前半部分敘觀音堅心修道，矢志不渝；後半部分寫觀音與善才、龍女收伏青獅白象的故事。唐以前的觀音大都是有鬍子的大男人。明清以後，觀音在中國人的心目中逐漸成了一位“娘娘”，其中奧妙，與這部小說的流行大有關係。

第一回　莊王往西嶽求嗣

　　虔誠秉壁拜西華，夫婦惟求子克家。　　當日殺威難懺悔，特教三女布毗伽。
