Inspired by 8 year-old Nicolas, from the Farm to Fork Capitol of the world in the Sacramento Valley, Nicolas' Garden is a kid-centric and family-friendly, easy-to-use mobile recipe app "for kids by kids."

In Nicolas' Garden, it is all about making healthy cooking, eating, and shopping fun and empowering for kids ages 5 to 15 while teaching them important independent living and lifestyle skills. Nicolas' mobile app helps moms and dads in their quest to teach their kids to be healthy choosers, and to want to take healthier, more informed steps about food.

Available as an Android application, Nicolas' Garden puts the relationship a child has with food in their hands, with fun ingredient and sharing icons, and gamification user features for kids to find recipes they like, to save their favorites and share with friends and family.

Kids can make shopping lists, discover how easy and fun shopping can be as they use the app when shopping or picking foods, and then again in the kitchen when its time to prepare. The fun and learning kicks into high gear when kids make their selected recipes at home, or with friends, or they explore their gardens or the farmer's market and get inspired to create a fresh, new dish!

It's as easy as 1-2-3 to use the recipe they find or created and then have fun photographing their steps and success, uploading it on the spot, tasting their achievement, and feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride.
