About Add Event

Add Event creates new calendar events with just one quick step: Type what your event is. For example, type “6/29 1pm Picnic” or “Meet with Roger tomorrow 3:30 PM,” tap “save” (the calendar icon), and the event is saved to your calendar. That’s it: No extra dialog boxes, dials to turn, buttons to push; Add Event does its best to understand your natural language description. Possible conflicts are shown in orange before you save the event, so you don’t have to check your calendar. To edit the event before saving, hit the pencil.

Add Event is fully compatible with Android 4.1 and 4.2. It understands days of week, months, and words like “tomorrow” in Bengali, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malayalam, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Vietnamese, if that language is set in the system settings.

This app was inspired by Google Calendar's “Quick Add” and the app “QuickEvent.”

Seriously, don't know why Google hasn't made a widget for this

Quick, clean interface. You cannot change the default calendar, it puts things in My Calendar on your phone. You do have the option of editing the appointment in a calendar application, but that defeats the purpose. Best feature is that once it figures out your date it shows your other appointments for that date. Worst annoyance is that if you give it the time as an integer below 8 it assumes you mean PM not AM. You have to type "5am" or "5:00" to get AM. I can't use it but keep my 99¢. Hope you upgrade.
